This is open 24 hours and close to my house. Therefore, I am on a mission to try all menu items. Lol Today I tried the shredded beef chimichanga. I do love me some chimichangas in general. What is there not to love?! The beef was tender. Almost reminded me of a biscuit actually. I appreciated that it seemed to me not super over fried like typical ones. It almost made me wonder if it was at a lower temp or even air fry. Either way, I really liked that. They are not stingy with the toppings or portion size. You can count on that with whatever you order. Overall, I would like a little more flavor /zest. That's the only reason I didn't rate it higher. It wasn't greasy, which I appreciated, and it was big and filling, but it needed salsa. I wish Roberto's green salsa tasted better. My husband had an enchilada. This was the first time I've been happy with Roberto's. I had overheard someone talking about the Wednesday tacos for $1.50 each at the gym. After my workout, I was driving home and didn't really have much at home to cook so I decided to get four tacos, two for me and two for my man. Taco bout filling! $1.59 chicken taco Wednesday where have you been all my life? I probably would know if kid been to a Roberto's before now. Is there a better deal in town? I challenge you to find one. Sure these tacos are basic AF but they're good! Juicy shredded chicken, crisp lettuce, and wispy yellow shredded cheese, stuffed into a freshly fried house-made crispy shell all for less than $2! Oh and top em off with red or green house salsas, and you've got a very delicious dinner. The menu is much more expansive than I once thought. Tortas, burritos, tacos, specialty plates and more can all be had here. I stuck to tacos and tried the crispy rolled beef, fish, carnitas, adobada and, of course, lengua! I was very impressed with many of these, specifically the fish and lengua. The piece of fish was large, lightly coated in a seasoned breading (not like fish and chips!) and topped with fresh pico and a light citrus mayo. I added some red salsa and it took this one to the next level. Highly recommend. Carnitas and adobada were def mid, but the lengua, though smaller pieces than I'm used to, was delicious. Oh. These tacos are huge! I usually make a taqueria taco into two with the double tortilla and these could probably be 3-4 of those! I ordered 5 tacos and stopped at 4. I love this place. The food quality is amazing. They greet you and even recognize you when you walk in the door. It's always clean and welcoming. One of the things that I love about this location is their consistency. I never get a bad meal. It doesn't matter what I order. The food is on point. It's an amazing value and you get a good amount of food for what you pay. I eat there far too often but it's worth it. I've even got my coworkers going there now and some friends. This location is hands-down, the best one in the Reno Sparks area. Their tacos are always full of cheese and meat lettuce. For about $14 and change, I got this heaping pile fries, shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa and carne asada. While it didn't have the umami flavor I came to expect, it was sufficient to quell my hunger and a couple other family members. I was in the mood for some tacos and wanted to come try them here. I received a positive recommendation from a fellow Yelp Elite. I'm glad I did! I got Carnitas tacos and Carne Asada tacos. The Carnitas were crispy on the outside and moist & flavorful on the inside. The Carne Asada was grilled perfectly and had the right amount of seasoning. Both tacos were piled high with meat and topped with guacamole & pico de gallo. There were choices of toppings at the salsa bar. Rojo, Verde, limes, radishes, and pickled vegetables. So tonight I had the urge to have Carne Asada Fries. Went to shop to order to go and they service was great and nice Ambiance. Plenty of seating as well if eating there. For my Asada Fries I had them add lettuce to it and just say glad I did. I ate the whole thing. Meat was just right and tender. Fries were cooked great and it was not soggy . Lots of guacamole too, plenty of cheese and just right amount of beans. $15 for this huge plate not bad at all. They do have a Monday special for Asada Fries half order for like $8.80 I think. Their breakfast burritos are my go-to whenever I don't feel like cooking. Burritos are huge and packed. Enough to share with someone if you aren't super hungry. Their red salsa is bomb!!! Okay, I've been here enough now to share an opinion. Roberto's (So Reno) is a solid choice for counter service Mexican Food. Breakfast We had a breakfast burrito and to be honest it was pretty dry. Guess we could have added some salsa but all we'd be doing is making a dry breakfast burrito more edible. The Chorizo Burrito was amazing. Not oily and very delicious. Menudo was also quite good. Lots of tripe. They make it without hominy which is a bummer but didn't take away from the deliciousness. Burritos We ordered a Carnitas Burrito, which is normally served with Guacamole and Salsa. I would describe it as "meh". Seemed a bit underwhelming. Hot tip: we swapped the Guac and Salsa for Rice and Beans, the burritos, whether we're talking Carnitas or Carne Asada, are truly amazing. Tacos I had the Carne Asada Tacos. The meat was juicy and flavorful but the corn tortillas were just terrible. Absolutely terrible. Hard and dry, perhaps the worst corn tortillas I have ever had. Hot tip : My brother had the fish tacos and he said it was by far his favorite, over the chicken or Carne Asada. Robertos is a solid choice. Having now been to Roberto's 4 times in less than two weeks, I can say that I m now a big fan since I started dining in. They have delicious food , to be sure, but it's the sauce and accompanying fresh and pickled jalapeños , carrots and onions , as well as the green onions and sliced radishes that are the ultimate flavor addition, It's a colorful place, very clean and has a friendly crew, all of which you miss by only doing the drive through. I decided to try the carne asada breakfast burrito (9-14-25), even though there were some mixed reviews on Yelp. Cut to the chase: It was very good. The details: There was quality beef in every bite, evenly spaced all throughout the burrito. Sometimes I find the potatoes undercooked in breakfast burritos, not the case here - they, along with the eggs, were perfect. As far as size is concerned, it was a very hefty burrito. If you aren't hungry, you will be lucky to finish half of it. I wasn't too sure about their "red" sauce (offered at a separate condiment station) because it is more of an orange color. I gave that a little taste-test and it was awesome, however, if you only prefer bland food, it might be a bit spicy for you.
