What I have written is all true, so I have the right to share it with others. Thanks!) Recently we arranged a large party and ordered several cakes from this place and our experience was awful. I wanted to give an warning to everyone before you go to Robert's Catering. I am pretty much sure all these good reviews were written by the owner, they were not from the real customers. (My guess was right because yesterday I posted a review but somehow Robert's managed to delete it.) My experience is very similar to Jason F. and Micah G. The people who manage this business has big time attitude problem, they will lie to you with their eyes closed. I had to order few cakes for a special occasion, I was very prepared and explained them with pictures about what I was looking for. Wendy insisted me to have one decorated cake and rest of them put it on the back or hide it (so they can do minimal work & save money), I clearly told her I want to have all the cakes on my party table and they should look nice. Wendy wrote down everything on the receipt and saved some cake top items in a bag for our cakes. I thought everything was done. But, on the delivery day when I saw my cakes I couldn't believe my eyes, after explaining for hours and hours, also giving sample pictures is this what I got?!! They made one plain cake barely covering with icing (for putting it on the back!), another cake we received was too boring white on white cake (should be different), not only that they forgot to add the cake top items (what I had picked before), added something what I clearly told them not to, also forgot about decorating them with flowers (I think they didn't forgot it, they intentionally did that to save their money). When I show her my receipt about cake descriptions, and how the cakes I received is so different, instead of saying SORRY she started yelling at me and lied blindly, and told me I didn't ask for it (even though it was written on my receipt). Also told me they have been doing business for 35 years and I don't know anything about cake, etc. (35 yrs with this kind of attitude!!!) I am sure most of the customers are just "One time only". I have never seen such a rude and poor customer service with any other business. They have salesman type business attitude, Wendy who takes the order will try to sell and charge you extra for everything as if they only sell the sponge cake, anything else is extra money. Robert's people don't care about what you want, they will force you to buy things where they can maximize their profit. With same price you will find 1000 times better cake and service from a different place, so stay away from this place. In the future Robert's Catering will not get any business from our friends and families. read more

About a year ago around this time my wife (fiancé at the time) and I were frantically scurrying all over the place putting together our October wedding itinerary together. We realized at this time that it just made sense to cater in our entire wedding meal instead of doing all the preparing ourselves for approximately 50 people. My wife went online to search for a catering service in or near Chandler and she came upon Roberts Catering. At that time Roberts was promoting a wedding cake sampling so we thought...why not lets go give it a try. Not thinking about anything more than just sampling cakes we had no real expectations of hiring him. When we walked in I'm thinking..."uh-oh", I'm not sure about this!! But that soon changed when he brought out the cakes for sampling! There were at least 10 to 12 "absolutely to die for" cakes to sample! Believe me we weren't planning on doing anything so quickly but both my wife and I knew we didn't need to search further for a catering service. Not only was his cake the best, but his personality and presentation of what he could do for our wedding just made us feel we had nothing to worry about. With Roberts expertise in planning he actually saved us a lot of money from some of the other planning we had been looking at for the wedding. He sat there with us as we described in detail what we wanted and then came up with so many wonderful ideas from the food all the way to the place settings for the wedding. He was simply just amazing and the best part was I didn't have to anything further regarding the food, seating, decorations, drinks and set up of the most beautiful back yard wedding we could have imagined. He simply just took over and made us feel safe that he had our best interests and desires under control! He was always there for when we had questions about how to do this or that and always calm and reassuring. We couldn't have dreamt of a better wedding day!. Robert and his staff were truly phenomenal before and during the wedding attending to our guests of 50! The food was to die for and the five different cakes he prepared were a huge hit! We had several guests express how awesome the food was and how they just blended right in with everyone especially when Robert was bar tending! I would strongly recommend Robert and his staff for any catering needs even down to a simple birthday party! Oh and just a side bar...his Carrot Cake is the bomb! For our wedding reception, we decided to go with Robert's Catering (after reviewing dozens and visiting 3 caterers ). Besides having the best food and cake reviews in the valley, Robert and his crew were all extremely friendly and considerate. From the intimate tasting environment, to the day of the reception, Robert and his crew were attentive, considerate, and gave us thier personal attention throughout. The food was amazing during the tasting and equally amazing during the event! Presentation, texture, moisture, and flavor were exquisite!! Both food and cake lived up to their reviews, and then some... Our guests are STILL raving about the food and cake! The service they provided during the reception was exceptional. Our reception was set up buffet-style, and the staff still offered to get us drinks, get our food, and took care of any need we could dream of. The staff really did a GREAT job of making us feel like nobility (which was much more than I was expecting). In addition to the food, Robert provided the bartender and bartending service, provided us with a list of drinks and mixers to bring, and worked directly with the bride on her many decorating and food ideas. He did an amazing job at helping her with decoration, even helped with decorating beyond table decorations. He was patient and quick to help make sure everything was absolutely perfect for the guests. Robert and his staff earned some loyal customers at our reception! Thank you for the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake for my daughter's wedding last weekend. It far exceeded my expectations and was actually more of a piece of artwork than just a cake! It was hard to cut into it at first....until we tasted that deliciousness! We have had many wedding cakes over the years at the hundreds of weddings we have hosted at our golf courses, so there was no question who our vendor was going to be. Roberts' cakes are consistently the crowd favorite, so the only hard part was narrowing down the flavors! My daughter had seen a design online and we sent the photo to Tiffany just hoping your bakers could do something similar. The cake you created for us was even more beautiful than the design we sent! Absolutely incredible. Robert went above and beyond for our wedding on 3/22/2014. We had a backyard wedding at my parents home in Mesa, AZ. Robert transformed the yard and entire house into a beautiful, dream wedding. He came to the house three times to help us design the table layouts for the backyard reception, indoor cocktails, and even decor for the front yard and patio. He helped my wedding vision come to life! I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made our wedding absolutely amazing. Thank you for all the extra time and effort. The food!! Everyone died over the food. He created a custom menu for us! And the cakes!! Still enjoying every last bite of leftovers. Absolutely the best I've ever eaten. We met with several potential caterers, and Robert surpassed every one of them with selection, tableware choices, settings, preparation, service staff, bartenders, even pre-event appetizer boxes for a 30 minute coach ride to the Wedding Site The more we asked for, the more he provided. Set up services at the Reception Site were excellent, timing was spot-on, the buffet display was professional, his staff was attentive, and the food was praised throughout the evening. With a varied menu, and plenty of it, our guests enjoyed several upper-scaled variations during the night. And then, the finishing touch, as the party headed into its final hour, Robert brings out freshly made White Castles! "Stroke of genius", "Superior" were comments overheard from the dancing and drinking crowd. read more

Robert catered the Xavier College Preparatory Holiday Auction on November 12th, 2011 for over 500 people. The food was the best of any catered event I have ever attended before! He used a family recipe for the yummy strawberry cheesecake dessert. He handled the event with linens, tables, chairs, food prep and serving with his own tableware service. The service was remarkable and everything went off perfectly. As a co-chair of this event, I highly recommend Robert and was only sorry about one thing...that we did not know to use him for the floral centerpieces too...because he could have handled that job beautifully too I'm sure. Roberts Catering catered my wedding and we only use them for any cakes and pastries we need. I have been using them for all my birthday cakes and occasion cakes, I also purchase cakes for Christmas for my neighborhood. I have never worked with any company that has been this professional amazing food and customizable menu. The guests at my wedding still talk about how beautiful and great everything turned out, Roberts Catering did everything from start to finish they plan the entire wedding with me along side me and till the end. Our wedding cake was DELICIOUS! My mom used Robert's for her wedding cake back in the '90s (and so did all of her friends). Apparently it was amazing then, and it's still amazing now. We got four tiers with four different flavors, and our guests raved about how delicious our cake was. Robert's also nailed the design of our cake--we were very specific about what we wanted and they executed it perfectly. It was a modern yet romantic, classic, and beautiful design. The cake was not cheap compared to other pricing we saw, but it was 100% worth the quality. We highly recommend Robert's for your wedding cake! read more

Robert & staff catered our wedding in '2007' and it was the 'BEST' ever. Our family is GREEK and very picky when it comes to food. Family & friends are still talking about the food and cake after 5 years past since the wedding. The 'Chocolate Heath Bar' cake was amazing!!! We still order one every year on our anniversary from Robert's. We also order his cakes every holiday gathering. No cakes compare and we have tried every known cake company in the valley. I used Robert's catering for my wedding recpetion over 10 years ago and people STILL talk to me about how amazing the food was! I was so thrilled with the quality and quanity of their food. The table display they created for the buffet was stunning and way beyond what I had imagined. The cake was so beautiful, I hated cutting into it! Once we did cut it, the guests went wild for it. People were stuffing pieces of cake into their bags to bring home. WONDERFUL! Robert's Catering catered my wedding this past weekend and the entire experience working with Robert's (initial calls, meetings, tastings, follow-ups, etc.) was wonderful. We were constantly getting compliments from wedding guests about how delicious the food and cake were and how friendly the staff was. Robert's prepared a large cake to travel 1300 miles for a reception for my husband's family in the midwest and they couldn't have been more accomidating. They also prepared our four tier wedding cake here locally. I was extatic to hear our guests rave about the cake because that was our favorite part of the evening. While we love to bake in our own kitchen we have robert's make our birthday cakes because they are just that good. They have made customers for life out of us and we recommend them highly. On Saturday , April 30, 2016 I had a 80th birthday party in my home for 40 people. Wendy at Roberts Catering convinced me to use Her Company. It was the very best food and service that I have ever experienced. She is the most wonderful and accurate person I could have found to plan my party. Robert's Catering made our wedding cake for us. It was a 3-tier cake, 2 tiers being almond cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate shavings and 1 tier was spice cake with caramel apple. It was delicious! We scheduled a tasting at Robert's business in Chandler and we were very pleased with the selection of tastings we were offered. Our wedding was on November 28, 2014. Wonderful, would recommend to anyone. Needed a cake for 30+ people for a church event. A custom cake place was asking for $150 for a half sheet cake. Robert did a three or four layer 12 inch round cake for $80. It was amazing, and was more then enough for the event. Robert also has a little humor and is straight-forward.
