The lawsuit, filed against Gregory Bertino and his business, Robert's Motor Mart, says the Feasterville shop "routinely failed to repair and return customers' equipment and did not provide refunds to customers." Eight consumers have come forward to file complaints with the Office of Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection, leading to the lawsuit in Bucks County Common Pleas Court. Robert's Motor Mart, a small-engine sale and repair shop on E. Bristol Road that provides services for lawn mowers, weed whackers, snow blowers and other items, "ripped off Bucks County consumers who spent hard-earned money to repair their property, including lawnmowers and snow blowers," Attorney General Josh Shapiro said. read more

Save your money, if reading the reviews already posted don't turn you away mine probably won't either BUT...... Paid for a new mower and a used riding mower. Was supposed to be delivered the following week. That week came and went, no call, no anything. Following week couldn't get them on the phone. Continued to tried, finally got them on phone. Three calls was basically told IDK, I have to talk to "him". Even though I was told I would get a call back in 30 minutes (I didn't) then was told would call when knew something (guess they never knew anything), and then again just to see if they forgot me (they didn't, just got mad I called again), so I finally stopped in person after work. Well, then I needed to be explained to how they got confused and had mistaken my sale for another sale and that is why I did not get the mower. Honestly, I DO NOT CARE. Anyone is business, sales, service, or HUMANITY knows that if you screw up you just handle it. You do not try to justify your own stupidity to your customer, they do not care, they just want what they paid for. So he could deliver the mower the following week, which wasn't acceptable. Then he could deliver it the next day if I paid the balance (in cash, like the deposit) right then. Now... does that sound intelligent to ANYONE? I even asked him, and he said he probably would not do it either. I said I will pay the balance in cash as agreed when the mower was delivered. No, he can't do that, it needs to be paid up front before he can deliver it. So I asked for my money back and then I was told they do not give refunds, that he didn't have the cash, that he'd have the cash on Friday, the story was ever changing. Long story short, if you give this man your money, you might as well toss it out the window on your way to Home Depot or Lowe's and save the time talking with him. You're eventually going to the box store anyway. Growing up in a family business, buying and selling since I was ten years old, I have NEVER seen anyone (or a group of people actually) so condescending, so ignorant, such outright THIEVES of anyone else's money. These people should be arrested, they are a disgrace to small businesses everywhere who bend over backwards to make their customers happy. If I had taken the time to check yelp, google or facebook prior to going here I would have never went. Pathetic waste of time and money. read more

1 star only because it is the lowest rating I can give! I have tried to use this place 2 times. Both times it was said open and it was during business hours posted on the door. No one was there. I tried to go again yesterday and the lights were on and there was a rope preventing me from using the parking lot. I was going to call to see what was going on but saw the reviews and I was grateful that I have lucked out and no one is there! read more

I would give this place no stars. He has officially stolen my snowblower. I filed a report with the police today after many failed attempts to retrieve it. Sad as we were trying to support a small business. Wish we had read the reviews sooner. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Bought a tractor from them on June 27th. He said give me 2 days to clean it up and get it ready. He then said that 4 more times until July 11th. That day I noticed there was no oil in the engine , the brake and shift did not work, and the front end was damaged. Brought it back 7/13. He said give me until Thursday. Finally got it back Aug 14th. I called many times to get status, most times i could not get through. Once I did, the lady said let me check on it for you. Was left on hold for over an hour that time. I called in the morning of Aug 7th and was told "I promise to have it today" nope!!! He said I might be too big for the mower and he would put me in another one with no extra charge....NOPE!! Greg Bertino accepted $550 dollars of my money for a deposit for a riding lawnmower that was never delivered. It was excuse after excuse, so after a month of not answering my calls and setting delivery dates that weren't met, i confronted him about my money. He refused to pay me and had the audacity to ask for more time. When researching him after the fact found abysmal review after review. When i went to the police station to file charges, they already knew who he was and have had a ton of complaints... This guy is a scam artist...don't go.... read more

This guy is a POS scam artist! Charged me $225 for a new engine installed on my log splitter, said it would be ready in about a week. After 2 weeks I called to ask if my log splitter was ready - was told not yet & to give him another 4 days. 4 days later I tried calling - the phone rang then went to a fax machine....for the next 2 days! I went to the shop to get my log splitter & money back & was told I couldn't get my money back because he just ordered the engine. Then he changed his story & said he got the engine in. When I asked to see the new engine, he told me to look for it in the shed - no new engine but did spot my log splitter buried behind old lawn mowers in his backyard. Suddenly, he didn't know where the "new engine" was. When I insisted on getting my money back & my log splitter, I was told I had to pay shipping on the new engine he couldn't prove was even ordered! Would have given zero stars if I could. I dropped off a chainsaw for repair that owner said would take a week. I cam back after a week and they said they hadn't looked at it yet - told me another week. I came back two weeks later and he said they needed to order a part and would have it done by the weekend. I came the next Monday and said they ordered the wrong part. After a month of them having my chainsaw, I demanded they return it, but they couldn't find it in their shop. When I returned the next day, they argued with me "that no one in the world can fix my chainsaw." I took the chainsaw to Sears the next day, and it was fixed in two days. Terrible business owner. After 3 weeks I went in wondering where the F my mower is, they said I need to pay the balance (which went up $127 from the quote I was given) and get the mower out of there. I not only had to remind them they had to drop it off to me (Again, which I paid for) but the tire was still flat. Not to mention they had my beautiful garage kept riding John Deer out in the rain all that time. I paid the bill and now it's been 6 days and still no mower. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! read more

Horrible horrible service! Left my pressure washer there 3 weeks later still not done. Following week go back and they said it's all fixed. Brought it home and it would not start. Take it to another place and they said that Roberts screwed up carborator, stripped out the bolt, messed up all the lines. Do not take any of your equipment there to be fixed! read more

Would like to give this guy no stars, but don't have that option. Everything the other two reviewers said is true. I took my old push mower in last Thursday to see if it could be repaired. The guy thought the fly wheel was bad and offered to sell me the same model lawn mower, refurbished, for $75, and said it would be ready Saturday. I got there at opening Saturday morning, two people who arrived after me pushed their way in ahead of me, but it didn't matter. The mower hadn't been touched, so he put me off till Sunday. Not ready Sunday either, tells me to come back Monday. Monday there is a chain across the driveway. So I went back today, still trying to purchase the refurbished lawn mower. The guy told me that----now---he wouldn't sell me the mower for $75, so I reminded him that that was the deal we had struck. Then the guy started shouting, saying that the mower I dropped off was no good (that fact had already been established when I originally brought it in) and that he no longer had the "refurbished" machine. I also had the same problem as Nelson: 2 phone numbers that were never answered and didn't have voice mail. Glad I didn't give him the $75 up front, but he still has my old mower to cannibalize for parts. Unbelievably bad businessman. read more
