The young lady who helped us took the time to explain how everything worked and let me know that, since it was my first time, it would probably take about 10 minutes to get the hang of throwing an axe. She was absolutely right! After a few minutes of practice, I started hitting the target and had so much fun. One thing that really stood out was that they brought complimentary popcorn to our table, which was such a thoughtful touch. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure everyone had a great time. The establishment itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere. In addition to axe throwing, they also offer darts, pool tables, and a golf simulator, so there's something for everyone. I'm so glad we discovered this place. It says it's 3 people per lane and so if you have a bigger group, you have to reserve an additional. We arrived earlier than our reservation. Time but they let us join in early. We quickly signed a waiter and got to our lane. The worker demonstrated the different axes we could throw. There was a small and thin one, small axe, medium axe, long and big axe, and a shovel. I liked the small and thin one best. It's cool because the target is digital and they have tons of different options to pick from. Our favorite was the regular target and the tic tac toe. They had strategy ones as well. I noticed that the board panels were thick and the axes were dull and so it would still, but fall off quickly after. Not sure if I wasn't hitting it with enough power, but even the worker couldn't get his axe to stick when he was demonstrating. You can't drink alcohol inside the building, but there's a bar next door. They let us go back and forth, but that took time away from our hour. They have drinks and snacks for purchase. Overall, it was a really cool experience and a great price compared to some other Axe throwing spots I've seen.

Anyway, my friends and I arrived for our reservation. The person who greeted us was friendly. We had to fill out a waiver and then pay before entering. He gave us a quick talk about the concessions, most of which were not available that eventing. He also gave us a bit of direction as to how to throw the ax. He also told us about the house rules. We settled in for a moment. We had all come directly from work, so were a bit hungry and thirsty. We had planned to get dinner nearby after, but wanted a little something at the moment. Unfortunately, we were told they had no pizza that night, so a pretzel was the only option. Also, they had just a few beer options and three mediocre wine options. My friends each had a beer, and I chose a Sauvignon Blanc. The drinks were fine.... nothing special, but we were there for the axes. Surprisingly, the pretzel was pretty good.. Despite the fact that we had been given a 2-minute tutorial about throwing the axes, most of the games they had made no sense to us. We gained a bit of guidance from the group next to us. I also made an effort to ask our staff person some questions. However, I still feel like we had really not clue how the games worked. We were only given one ax for our group of three. It was just one style. I have been axe- throwing before, and they had lots of different possibilities. I remember that I had fun trying the different styles. In my past experience, they also gave us more education about the games we could play together so we didn't feel so lost. They were also more available for consult. I think Axe-Thro is a fine place to go if you want to throw some axes. It is not the best for bar food and dinks, or if you want a little information on the games you are playing.

He didn't rush me, answering all my questions honestly and objectively. Mark helped me with the purchase of the optic and let me put my options on their plastic show gun, as well as up against the model I was planning to put it on. It really allowed me to finalize my decision. He also gave me his personal perspective and preferences, letting me to see things from different angles. I was lucky enough to get the advertised clearance price on their last available optic too. It came with the original box and all accompanying accessories. Thanks a lot guys!! It's nice to go there to learn a few tricks and just talk shop for a bit.
