What an amazing experience and fun place! Instructors (Alexis and ?) are extremely knowledgeable, friendly with good supportive energy, and made sure their first timers were having a good time and perfected our form and shots the best we could. Nice equipment, good spacing for a small group (we had 13 and made do), friendly service, excellent teaching--overall, a wonderful experience and the groupie and I can't wait to experience archery again. We were hooked after this experience. We had so much fun dividing into two teams and had some competition fun. Great value for the memorable experience. Celebrated a bachelorette and they brought out a ring as the final shot. It was a nice end to our amazing time there. Shout out to Alexis and his partner for a fun time. You two rock! Thank you for an amazing first time!

This place is a must! We went here for some indoor fun out of the heat and to start our daughter's 21st bday celebration with family. Our instructors were very thorough and patient, emphasizing safety while still encouraging us to have fun. The coaching and tips our instructors gave us while we practiced were on point in helping us do better! The ages in our group ranged from 7-50 and everyone had a blast! My 7 year old niece got extra attention you can see her confidence grow. Don't give it a second thought. If you are reading these reviews, just give them a call to schedule your session or get signed up for lessons! Thank you, Robin Hood Archery!

My name is Lorna Johnson and I received a gift certificate for Robin Hood Archery for a retirement gift and finally took the time to get my first lesson. I did archery in high school and loved it so this gift was awesome. Kena the owner spent about 1 1/2 hours with me and it was the best lesson. She was very patient with me but very precise in what is right or wrong which I really appreciated. I will be going every Thursday from now on to practice and have fun,

This place is simply over n beyond my expectations in every way. Amazing, helpful, friendly staff\coaches and perfect for advanced to beginner level. We were out in the Palm Desert area for 5 weeks of which 2 days in San Diego for Socal national ternament. Coach Kena and Hafid went out of their way to set up 60 meter outdoor range and great 20 meter indoor setup for training along with so much words of wisdom to help my daughter get the best record to date. My 8 year old also get the basic training and looking forward to more

    Fun times

Mark helped me with the purchase of the optic and let me put my options on their plastic show gun, as well as up against the model I was planning to put it on. It really allowed me to finalize my decision. He also gave me his personal perspective and preferences, letting me to see things from different angles. I was lucky enough to get the advertised clearance price on their last available optic too. It came with the original box and all accompanying accessories. Thanks a lot guys!! No background check was attempted, and no clear instructions were given. I brought the required documents and was still treated poorly and dismissed. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time. I will not be returning.

We found Performance Archery and their 1-hour intro lesson for $40 per person. Pretty fair deal. Me, my wife, and both our boys all tried compound bows. It was a tiring but fun afternoon. The next day, me and my wife definitely felt some muscles we do not use often. LOL. Our instructor, Todd, was very helpful and encouraging. He explained what we, as complete newbies, needed to know without making it confusing. Safety, stance, how to hold the bow, how to aim, and how to release. Just enough to get us started and actually enjoy it. He also gave a lot of praise to my youngest son, who showed some real potential. It was his first time ever shooting a bow, and he hit yellow at 10 yards. Beginner's luck? Maybe once. But he kept hitting yellow again and again. Because of that, I asked my youngest, who is 15, if he wanted to continue with archery and see where it goes. He said yes, so we ended up getting him a package that should last him a few years: an Elite Archery Basin RTS, a release, arrows, and a bag. He was super happy. The staff was also very helpful in setting up the bow for him. They adjusted the draw length, draw weight, and peep sight, and made sure it fit him properly. The only sad part is that this place is far from home. I checked Yelp reviews for places closer to us, and honestly, they do not look as encouraging. Overall, this was a really good afternoon. For $40 per person, the intro lesson was worth it. Fun, educational, beginner-friendly, and maybe even the start of a new hobby for my son.

If they tune my bow and I come back bc it's out of tune they charge me again!!! Recently my Mathews Title needed new limbs on a warranty claim bc of a weak limb. Very important!!!! The shop I'm loyal to, Bow N Arrow shop because they always does fantastic work on my bow. They NEVER overcharge me either!!! If I get a set of strings installed there they will NEVER charge me for tuneups on the life of that string set!!!!!! I brought my bow to my technician. My bow tech gave me a video and showed me why I 100% had a weak limb. The cam lean in My bottom cam was so bad it was rubbing the inside of the left side of my yoke on my new string set! Everyone at the shop was in agreement that this was warranty claim due to a weak limb issue. Since Bow n Arrow is not authorized Mathews dealers, I took my bow to Performance Archery for them to start the warranty claim. They asked if they could touch my bow (no mention of a charge and I'm in there for a warranty claim!) but I agree. They take my bow to the back and all four technicians there agree it is not a Cam lean issue or a weak limb issue and that it is ai ply a top hat issue. They proceeded to flip my top hats, so that there was only 1 mm of clearance from the Yoke cable from the Cam and did not fix the Cam lean at all. Matter of fact the problem was 100% still apparent and they let me leave and made me pay!!!! They looked me straight in my face and told me that Mathews is amazing with doing warranty claims! That all it takes is making the request and that it's easy, and then they did not do the warranty claim for me and gave me excuses and did not fix the problem. And charged me! The next day I took my bow back to my Bow technician at Bow N Arrow Shop showed them what they did and what they charged me for! They said it was completely I appropriate and they told me that the same problem was still an issue and that whatever they did didn't fix anything!! They also tone me I still can't shoot my bow. So then I was told by my Bow technician to call Bret at Willow Creek Archery.. Bret is Is amazing! I told him what I was going on, what I had been through and he immediately agreed that it was a week limb issue over the phone!!!!!! I sent him the video of my Bow on the bow draw board at the Bow N Arrow Shop showing the problem and diagnosing the weak limb issue and stating it was a warranty claim 100%. Unlike Performance Archery, He immediately got a hold of Mathews sent them my information and immediately was approved for a brand new set of limbs! Imagine that!!! The point is, Performance Archery does shawty rushed work on bows that they tune. They misdiagnosed and negate responsibility for obvious warranty claims. I could've derailed my cables and needed another new $200 string set. That's how bad it was. They charged me for a full set up fee and my bow is completely out of tune and I was still left with the same problem. Insult to injury! Bottom line: Go to Bow N Arrow Shop! 100%! The majority of the time if they don't need to charge you, they won't, and if they need to, their bench rates are better than Performance Archery and they do better work. Also, Bret at Willow Creek Archery Is amazing! And Bruce from Bow N Arrow Shop is fantastic and all of their Bow Techs there are phenomenal. Avoid Performance Archery at all costs!!!

They usually have offerings on Groupon for savings, however, it's also easy to book online from their website and pay directly. Ian was our instructor and he did an excellent job. He was very patient with us and definitely knows his stuff! The lesson started with basic safety and then proceeded to technique. He helped my youngest out by letting her try several different bows to make sure she was comfortable. I was pretty rusty, but ended up hitting the bullseye a couple of times. They usually do a round where you blow up a balloon and try to pop it with the arrow, but they were out of balloons this time. As a result, Ian created a challenge for us where whoever hit the bullseye, or closest to it, would win a Riverside Archery sticker. Surprisingly enough, on the last round, I ended up victorious and the proud owner of the sticker! Yay! It adds to the hunting experience that includes good hiking, tracking, etc. Charlie (very helpful and personable) gave us about a 10 min orientation, a rundown and some tips, then took us to the rim of the canyon and sent us on in for our hunt. About 45 min in, we sighted our first animals (goats). And about an hour in, we saw our first pigs in "pig canyon". They were hiding in the shrubbery, and started to leave when we came near. We passed on taking one. A little more domesticated and not as big as I hoped to take (though they're decent size and will provide some good meat). So with that, we continued through the canyon- walking the hills, crevices, and dried creeks, Looking for the bigger game. About Two hours passed and we didn't see anything besides a ram and another couple goats. I started to question whether I should have pulled the trigger on the earlier ones. About three hours in, we saw her- a 450 .lb hog hiding in the bushes. She didn't drop on the first shot with my 6.5 grendel (she did, but got back up and took off) and led us on a 15 min chase before we could put her out quickly. Charlie and his buddy came down into the canyon and hauled our pig out for us. He was great and informative as he butchered for us. I came home with about 6-7 cubit feet (filled my freezer) of bacon, pulled pork, tenderloin, roast, and more. Highly recommend for new hunters. This hunt is what you make of it. 1-2 hours in you can take an easy target and get the meat, or you can choose to hunt for the bigger or more elusive animals like the big hogs or razorbacks and do some good hiking, looking, tracking. For me, the latter was worth it.

*Best Dick's in Town"…read more Dick's is a mega-corporate chain that's now the #1 sporting goods retailer in the U.S, with over 700 locations as of 2024. Dicks had an IPO back in 2002 and trades on the NYSE under the ticket symbol DKS. Their retail prices are standard. But also some very reasonable pricing and great discounts & sales too. I still miss Sport Chalet and Sports Authority that unfortunately filed for Bankruptcy back in 2016. I also prefer to shop local and support the Mom & Pop shops. But brick and mortar sporting goods stores have become dinosaurs...so I've grown to like Dick's. It's become one of my go-to's when I prefer to try something on or experience the product prior, opposed to online shopping. And Dick's has much better quality brands and inventory compared to Big 5. Been to this location a handful of times, and each time made a purchase. I've also ordered from their website once because the size of the item I wanted wasn't in stock. The layout here is decent but the store itself is always clean and pretty well-stocked. There's usually a fair amount of store team members wandering around either stocking or tidying the sleeves & racks. A few of the Team Members here are very helpful & kind and seem to care about customer service and experiences. Reason for knocking off a star? Some of the team members here, as well as the ones at the check-out register, appear as what I call "dialing-it-in and punching a time clock" because they act as tho they don't wanna be here...and are too cool for the room. I wonder if this stems from management here...or they haven't a clue and my reason for pointing this out. Because some of Dick's Team Members need to be better Team Players or go take a seat on the bench.
