This place really took advantage of the fact that I trusted their professional opinions and banked on me wanting the best for my smile. They pushed procedure after procedure, telling me I have issues I, nor my family, has ever even heard of. Something to remember if going here is they have quotas and are going to try to meet them whether you need the procedure or not. I felt guilt tripped and judged any time I told them no to an elective procedure. I read another review on here that compared the Dr to a car salesman and that is exactly how it felt to me. I will not be going back here ever again and I would never recommend this place. Not only were there so many things pushed at me, the Dr also made me feel extremely uncomfortable. As he would "check" my mouth after the hygienist did my cleaning, he would essentially 'play' with my tongue. Just very gross and would give me the worst pit in my stomach. Creep vibes. After going to a new dentist, the doctor told me the Invisalign trays that this place made for me are made from some material my new dr would never make for someone, material so thick it caused gum receding on a tooth of mine. My new dr also said that I do not need any fillings and doesn't know why Dr Robison would try to push me to get two of them. Literally find any other dentist. This place is not it. Let me start by saying, most people don't enjoy visiting the dentist. I had THE BEST experience at this office. My experience starts like this.... I unfortunately had a dental emergency late in the evening and called and left messages for several dental offices to get the earliest available morning appointment and ended up going to the first one who called me back (not Robison Dental Group). I was told the procedure would cost me around $5,000 and there were no other options. I reluctantly googled another nearby dentist to get a second opinion and stumbled upon Robison Dental Group. Let me begin to say, my call was answered by Charlotte, who was absolutely pleasant. She was able to get me in within the hour to see the dentist. Upon arriving, she was super friendly and welcoming. I then sat with Dr. Robison, who gave me many options to solve my dental issue and a game plan to achieve the results that I want. He made me feel so comfortable and made sure I understood everything we discussed. Most people DREAD having to visit a dentist and I can honestly say, this was an amazing experience. After fixing the underlying issue, I referred 2 family members to their office and will be a client for life. read more

This fucking asshole needs to retire. I was prone and he screamed in my face so that I had to turn away. He ground down teeth on the left side of my mouth and now my jaw shifts to the left. He fucked up my occlusion. He saw I have excellent benefits and started talking about how I grind my teeth at night because they are loose. That is physically impossible, I have a dually deviated septum, which means I am a mouth breather, I actually shift and prop my jaw open on a special pillow so I don't gasp for air every 10 minutes. No former partners have said I grind my teeth, on the contrary, they can confirm my mouth-breathing. read more

Dr. Robison took on my snowbird mother who came with a host of problems exacerbated by her hometown dentist. He literally spent hours, on more than one occasion, to get her dentures to a place where she didn't have pain. One time the entire office staff left for their lunch break while he continued to make adjustments to my mother's teeth, right through lunch and into the afternoon. He never got frustrated with my aged mother and was unbelievably kind and assuring through the whole process. Only a man of impeccable integrity and character would have done what he did. I have been going to Robison Dental since I was 8 years old. Always the best care. They do a great job of not keeping you waiting so you can be in and out. I didn't realize how good of a dentist he was until I went away to college and the dentist there was positive about the fillings and the other work that had been done. After having a cavity or other work, I would always get a call at night asking how I was doing with pain and how I was feeling. My kids love the staff and treat box with goodies. I am insanely dental phobic. Been seeing Dr. Robison for over 20 years. Will not go anywhere else. He is highly skilled and I've been through the gamut with him, fillings, crowns, implant, the dreaded root canal. Survived it all. He is very patient. I don't know if I'd put up with me......I also think the fact that the same staff have been with him all these years speaks volumes as well. During the recession, seems like he kept everyone on. Economic downturns=teeth don't get priority. He successfully brought his practice through all that. Not all dentists can say that. Speaks to skill and patient loyalty, I think. I've been coming to see Dr. Robison for 9 years and he's hands down the best dentist I've ever had. I grind and clinch my teeth, which causes a ton of problems, so I need a good dentist. Dr. Robison has gone above and beyond to fix my cracked, chipped, or broken teeth. He's also been great about making guards that have helped me (almost!) kick this bad habit. If there's ever an issue, he's quick to address it. His staff is warm and very knowledgeable, and the office has always been and very fair on payment. If there's any doubt as to how much I love Dr. Robison and his staff, just know that I live in Virginia. A lil upset right now .. I have always been hesitant and also scared about going to Dentist and I have teeth problems .. I also had a gap and Gary robinson closed my gap and fixed 2 other teeth as well .. I paid a lil over a grand for the cosmetic surgery and the first 2 weeks the cosmetic part he did between my gap broke off . (Hence having my gap again.). I had bairly had my daughter so I wasn't able to get it fixed for 3 weeks I finally went.. and say now 3 months later the same thing just now happened. I was eating a Roman noodle soup .. so I know it wasn't because I was eating something hard. I had horrible anxiety about my gap and it's back. And now it's a frie, so I have to wait till Monday to call. I'm hoping it's able to get fixed. It's a real bumber.. it's alot of money for me to have spent on my teeth to just have the same gap I've been hiding from. :( gary robinson! Help! read more

I really wanted to like this place. I hate the dentist and have had horrible experiences with pain so I am hesitant any time I try a new place. Now I will start off by saying that my husband and I had gone without dental insurance for a couple of years so when we went in the first time to get cleanings I expected to hear that there were some things that needed done (ie: cavities, etc). On top of that, I knew going in that I need 2 crowns done for prior root canals that were done. The ONLY redeeming quality of this place was the hygenist. She was friendly, thurough and not judgemental at all. Dr. Robison though is another story. The guy should have been a used car salesman instead of a dentist. The whole "consultation" part of the visit was uncomfortable and offensive. Here's the thing, sure I'd LOVE to have the perfect smile. I'd love to get veneers and teeth whitening and all that other jazz that you can get now a days. But I don't have $10k+ to drop on dental work right now. So I made that very clear to him and he still proceeded to focus on the stuff that wasn't necessary vs the stuff that NEEDS to be done. I felt horrible when I left. BUT I am big on second chances so I scheduled my husband as well and he went in only to experience the same thing and he again reiterated to Dr. Robison that our primary goal right now was to get done what NEEDED to be done and then we could discuss other things. It got to the point that he was so pushy with everything that when I found out that they have a financing program you can use, I entertained the idea of getting into debt just to fix all this cosmetic stuff that he was making such a big deal out of. I had a friggin' complex after visiting him! And I might have actually gone thru with the financing had his assistant not been so incompetant herself or if she knew how to follow up with people. While I was waiting (and still waiting btw) for the insurance approvals to come in, we went ahead and scheduled my husband for a tooth extraction that needed to be done. Dr. Robison did the extraction and then sent my husband on his way. No antibiotics prescribed and no pain medication. He was told to take some advil if it became painful. Now, I know I am not a dentist but I know that anytime an extraction is done an antibiotic is prescribed to prevent infection. Well sure enough, two days later of excruciating pain I finally tracked the Dr down at his house and had him call in an antibiotic and pain medication because it had become infected. My immediate thought was, maybe if he hadn't been SO consumed with trying to upsell me on everything else that wasn't necessary he would have remembered the basics of dentistry and the infection could have been prevented. So needless to say, I am no longer a patient there and I still need my crowns. Onto a different dentist that hopefully gets it. read more

I had to get some of Dr Robison's work done over again while I was out of town on vacation. The work was done about 2 years ago. The dentist said Dr Robison had used an old procedure that doesn't hold up well. He suggested I find a new dentist with current training and equipment. My family has been going to this dentist for many years. Last year my husband had a root canal done by Dr. Robinson. For me, Dr. Robinson told me I had work to be done on my teeth at my last cleaning. Funny, my teeth never bothered me. I decided to go and get my teeth cleaned from another dentist 7 months later and see what he would say about my teeth. Well guess what? My teeth are good and no issues that he saw. And he told me I have great teeth and it shows I take good care of them. Hmmmmm I guess when you take care of your teeth then you are not making Dr. Robinson any money from your insurance company and your own hard earned money. So Dr. Robinson makes up stuff to make him money for his business. My husband went and had his teeth cleaned with the same dentist that I picked for us to use from now on. This new dentist told my husband that his root canal looked like it never healed correctly and was now abscessed. He would now need to go and have the root canal that Dr. Robinson did a year ago redone. Funny how after the root canal was done by Dr. Robinson that he never noticed it did not heal correctly. My husband has seen him after the root canal was done for cleanings. I called Dr. Robinson and his spoke to Charlotte and told her what was going on. She told me she would follow up with Dr. Robinson and have him call me back. Well, it's been almost two weeks now and still no call back. I'm sure if I told them I was ready to come in and get my imaginary work done on my teeth I would get a call back right away. People stay far away from this dentist unless you have extra money to give him for imaginary work you don't need. Not good business practice Dr. Robinson! Shame on you for lying to your faithful customers just to feel your pockets with peoples hard earned money. . May you reap what you sow. I hope his son does not practice this kind of work too.
