After the bottom plate underneath my husband's Ford Maverick came off (from Oil Changers that didn't bolt it down right) on our way from Oakland to Stockton, we got towed here. Tom was super helpful. He told us to call Oil Changers right then and take all the pictures of underneath the car. Josh bolted some screws in to get us on our way until we could take it to Ford. Took my car in there twice. The first time I took it there I had a problem with the oil and water mixing in with my coolant system. They charged me close to $2,000 to fix that. 2 weeks later. My car overheated because they didn't fix the problem completely and blamed it on me for not allowing them to replace a particular hose. I took it back there for them to replace that particular hose and they said they did a pressure test that failed because of my water pump having a hairline crack. They wanted to charge me close to $200. An hour gave me an estimate of close to $600 to change my water pump. I retrieved my car. Took it to another shop and they told me the problem was too loose hose clamps and there was nothing wrong with my water pump. read more

I would NEVER take my car back to them. HORRIBLE customer service. The MILLINIAL of auto repair shops. Do not waste your time. I was recently hit by a man who turned the wrong way down a one way street. Obviously his fault for going the wrong way. He had Mercury insurance and this is the shop they referred us to. The experience started off bad from the start. On day one my girlfriend went to drop the car off. There was a girl at the front desk that she talked to, the girl said " I'll be right back with the technician." My girlfriend was there over 30 minutes before a different girl came out and asked if she had been helped yet. (30 minutes. Okay, not that big of a deal, but that's just the beginning.) We got a rental car from enterprise of Manteca through Mercury Insurance while our car was being worked on. Our car was in the shop roughly two weeks. Mercury insurance called and told us that our car was ready to pick up, and that if we didn't return the rental by the next day we would have to start paying for it ourselves. We returned the rental car at 1:00 p.m. After returning the rental car we have the shop a courtesy call to tell them we were on our way. THEY SAID THAT OUR CAR WASNT READY AND WANTED TO KNOW IF WE COULD PICK IT UP THE NEXT DAY! We are very busy people, we both opposite schedules and have 3 kids that we are contanty running all over California. We have to plan and schedule things to make life work read more

So I took my 1994 ford Bronco in on a Thursday for a diagnostic I and to change battery connectors I called them on Tuesday to check on progress and was told they are waiting on connector if I'm not mistaken u can get these at any auto parts store I asked if anything else had been looked at and I was told they couldn't do anything until the cables were were replaced... I asked if they could do a smoke test on the vacuum system to make sure there were no leaks he said sure I'll let them know. I called back on Wednesday and talked to the tech who was working my car he said they put the new battery connector on and the idle got better but the bronco was smoking really bad I said yes it was doing that when I brought it in it was running like it was getting to much fuel. I ask if the diagnostic was done and he said no they wanted to pull spark plugs to see if one had failed. At this time I had heard enough and told him I would just pick it up. The warning light went off after I added two quarts, but I was nervous about a possible oil leak and stopped to have it checked. My heater hose broke on my car, unfortunately I was in Yountville Napa Valley. Tow truck would only tow 100 miles and it was 118 miles to Modesto CA. AAA said that Morgan Auto repair in Manteca was the closest AAA preferred vendor from Napa Valley. Towed car there and dropped off. I called them Monday morning to check with them on cost of checking out what had happened. They checked it out and called me back telling what needed to be done. They told me it was the heater hoses that broke. They would up charging me $309.99 for one hose and $311.10 for the other. Checked it out on line and the hoses were $165.00 each. Asked them about the charge and what I could purchase them for. The young lady waiting on me said it included labor. Labor was actually a separate charge. Called and spoke to John the manager and he told me that because I wanted my car repaired that day the parts were more expensive. If I had waited 2-3 days they would have been cheaper. The dreaded check engine light came on after turning on A/C. It's been challenging to find an auto shop that can effectively or has the time to work on Mini Coopers here in the area. Morgan Automotive was able to repair my vehicle quickly and reasonably. I was impressed that they have an auto body shop and car rental there, plus AAA approved! Zack, Johnny and Andrew were personable as well as professional. They were good listeners, and did not make me feel a bother with my questions and concerns. They kept me informed and up to date on repairs. I did not have to call them once to see how things were going. Area inside and out was very clean, I felt my car was safe there. Brought my car hear for a alignment, Lady at desk was ok at best with customer service. The alignment seemed good all in all no complaints. Was a bit disappointed tho wanted to talk to one of there techs to disclose i wanted a performance alignment witch adding negative camber but they did factory specs witch is ok but not ideal for my style of driving would of been a easy 5 stars if there team was a bit more personable and if they treated every customer as if it was one of there own or as a family member. The team at Morgan Automotive got my car in quickly for an inspection and replacement of the TPMS sensors in the tires. They had some trouble syncing the sensors with the car, and were totally upfront about the issues they ran into. They suggested trying the Mazda dealership for a second opinion. Came here to have my truck "inspected" because my insurance required it before I could take the truck to my own mechanic to get it fixed. So one of the guys there, Keith, inspected it. Gave us a ridiculously high quote. Tried forcing my husband to sign paperwork without explaining anything. Told my husband to wait, we need to read over everything. Keith got extremely frustrated that I chose to read some paperwork before we sign it. The paperwork said that we were choosing to use them instead of our own mechanic. When I asked him if we were to use them, how long would it take (my mechanic quoted 2 business days, and my mechanic also had to order a part), Keith gave us SO much attitude saying he would have no idea. I asked if I would be days, weeks, months... He still said he had NO idea and that we could rent a car. Honestly, if you are forced to come here by your insurance. Have this place quote you an estimate (they will quote ridiculously high, we were quoted $1000 more than our mechanic), then opt to "cash out" your claim, and take it to your own mechanic. Yes, you will pay your mechanic upfront, but then you get a check in the mail from your insurance a few weeks later with what the collision center quoted. I will NEVER use the collision center except for when my insurance forces me to get an inspection. read more

First, they were difficult to schedule the repairs with because they lost my estimate twice. Second, they were difficult to get any updates or information from without calling myself. Third, they were more than confusing when explaining whether to go through my insurance or the at fault parties insurance and who was paying my deductible. Their information went against everything I thought I knew about how to handle this and in the end, I ended up having to pay my deductible because my adjustor 'made a mistake'. Got into a car accident 2 weeks after buying my new car and my insurance recommended Them. It was easy to get my car into the shop and they fixed it within a week. After I got my car back I noticed it still had a a scratch on the back end and that where my bumper was attached the paint was torn up. I quickly call them back and asked them to fix it. I picked my car up the same day that I dropped it off and was furious. They had put a lighter blue paint over the paint and only cover half the scratch. I had my car towed in with a check engine light. Smart Pure 2008 I made sure they knew how to work on a Smart car. They assured me they knew how to work on my car. I Was told by Brett it was an easy fix. They checked engine compression everything looked good the code was for an engine misfire. Now they gave me three estimates I can pick one it might work and it might not like shooting the dice. Charged me over $200 and nothing is fixed. Our 2003 Audi died while on I-5 on a Thursday night as we were headed out to the Delta for Labor Day Weekend. Not being from the area, I asked AAA for a garage recommendation and they referred me to Morgan Automotive. The next morning I spoke with their service manager Brett and explained our situation. He promised to do his best. The problem turns out to have been a bad fuel pump. Brett was able to get an Audi genuine replacement part delivered and installed by the end of the day on Friday, giving us back our car in time for the long weekend. Brett diagnosed the cause of the problem quickly and his pricing for the repair job was consistent with what my regular Audi garage in SF would have charged. A breakdown 100 miles from home with no local knowledge is a potential nightmare, but we lucked out with Morgan Automotive. Overall, an excellent experience. My car needed body work, and while doing it they broke the AC/Blower the casing was cracked and the modeler was super glued back in place.I had the Blower/AC fixed and I have a claim in with my insurance,If that is not approved I will have no choice but to sue Morgan Automotive.
