After a horrible experience with their neighbor, RD Automotive, I was nervous to go here. I called to make an appointment for an oil change and an adorable chinese woman answered the phone. She asked me for my car model and year and yada yada yada. She was SO nice. So I made an appointment for the next day. The next day I came in and was greeted by guess who: the adorable chinese lady. She was extremely nice and helpful. It felt I was talking to my grandmother and I'm not even Chinese. We talked about various things. Her husband, Paul, worked on my oil change! Been a customer since 2012 started as a referral from my grandparents. Back in 2012 I had spent over $1,000 attempting to get my vehicle to pass smog. Many other shops told me to replace the catalytic converter, change ignition, heat the cats, etc. All of this did not work. After referral, I decided to come in, get the car looked at and smogged. It took Paul one look to find out that the O2 sensor was bad. He replaced the sensor and smog passed! Miranda and Paul are wonderful people who can relate to automotive issues. Paul never tells you to do more work than you need or sooner than you need. I've even gotten my car back to find that he's performed a few extra things without asking, like straightening out my license plate holder and removing a stubborn sticker from my windshield. I came to this shop to see why my car wouldn't pass smog. Miranda was who I was in contact with and she is so nice and thorough. Came to find out I needed a new intake manifold and a sensor. Miranda quoted me a price for labor and the parts way cheaper then anywhere else. I'm glad I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I called and spoke with Miranda on the phone to arrange for an oil change. I met with them the next day and got an oil change with high mileage oil for only $50 -- much cheaper than Jiffy Lube. I was in and out in 30 mins. On top of the oil change, they went ahead and polished my head lights for free! Jiffy Lube or other places would charge at least another $50 just to polish the headlights. Definitely not one to complain or review but this did not sit well with me. So here's my "experience" with this place. I've been without my car for about 2 weeks, and with I working 2 full time jobs I heavily rely on my car to get me to those jobs. I decided to look up shops near by and came across this one since it was close to home and had good reviews. so decided to give them a call to get a quote on a diagnostic. Lady answers the phone, seems polite, goes on and ask me a series of questions. She then after telling her everything she says she'll need to call me back she's with a customer. So I say that's fine and she takes my info down. A day goes by and no call. I give them a call back and told her who I was and tried to remind her about our previous call and she ignores it and continues to ask me questions as if it were our first time speaking. We go thru all the questions and again before I get to finish, she interrupts me and tells me she'll need to call me back she's with a customer. From the vibe I'm getting is that they want nothing to do with me or my car. I feel if that were the case there could've been a better approach rather than to have me waiting around for a call! I simply called to get a quote on a service they offer. At first the lady that answer the call was nice but as the conversation continue she started to ask me, "what the make and model of my car?" Of course I expected that, then she asked for my name and number. Which was a surprise to me because all I wanted to know was a simple quote. I once again reiterate to her what service I needed and how much it will cost me? She refuse to give me a quote saying that she can't give me a quote because she don't know the problem. But I told her the problem and that I already fix it and I just needed a service to be done on my car because I don't have the machine to do it myself and I told her specifically what exactly needed to be done. Ask soon as I stated that I guess she figure that I'm do dummy when it come to car and figure that she can't add on extra service charges I probably don't need. At this point her whole demeanor change and her nice tone quickly changed to a rude one. Stating that "we have other people here and we will pass." Which was hilarious to me because all I wanted was a simple quote. So my advice to other consumer just do your due diligence before you get any service done on your car otherwise some of these auto repair shop will take advantage of you. read more
