Camaron y pulpo al a guijlo.

Pulpo was hard and rubbery. Shrimp tastes rotten. We used to love coming here but it seems either they sold the place or fired the cook. Not the same and we won't be going back

I wasn't sure what I wanted for lunch. Than, I remembered I used to have lunch at Rocamar with my coworkers and we always had a tasty one. Our relationship with Rocamar started about 15 years ago, we used to come here so often that we end up becoming friends with the owner and stuff. And we would get treated so well every single time We became friends with Rosa, one of their waitresses, who was just so wonderful and friendly. Always had a smile on her face. Than due to me getting sick, than pandemic, resulted in not being here for over 5 years. Well, today, when my ex coworker texted me and asked if I wanted to meet her for lunch, it felt like the good old times and both of us decided to have a take out from Rocamar. I called to see if they were open, and to my surprise I recognized Rosa's voice, she remembered me too and it was just great. We went to pick up our lunch. It was good seeing everyone, especially was great to see Rosa again, and to see that friendly face. We got our food and it tasted as delicious as always. I ordered fillet of fish stuffed with octopus and shrimp, it was simply delicious. Next time, it's the whole fish time, fried or grilled whole tilapia, yum. I was just glad to see them open and thriving. Good food, good service and authentic atmosphere. If in the area, go ahead and check them out. And if you love jamaica like I do. make sure to add that to your meal.

Bad customer service and bad tasting food. First the lady hanged up on me when I asked for a price and then I called back to order again and the lady didn't even apologize just rushed me to finish ordering. I went on to order a shrimp cocktail and french fries on the side , but as I tried the shrimp it smelled bad and tasted worse. I ended up tossing it all out and not to mention they only gave me a few fries literally only a small handfull. Never going back!

The cocktail shrimp was not that great. It was very rubbery, and it was just tomato juice and chopped onions. I wouldn't go back.

Everything came out fresh and packed with flavor. The tacos were loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, and paired with some seriously good salsas. The grilled veggies and sides were just as good, and even the beans were on point. You can tell they care about quality in every bite. We also grabbed some drinks and everything complemented the meal perfectly. Portions were solid, prices felt fair, and the overall vibe was just great. Honestly one of the best Mexican food experiences I've had in a while. Definitely coming back and bringing more people with me next time.

The inside is small, enough for a few small parties-with a cute little patio outside. I wanted something more unique than everyone else's tacos. They serve theirs with pickled onions, which adds a lovely freshness to it. I had an asada vampiro...there is a lovely, almost Smokey flavor to the meat. And no gristle! I also had the chicken chulada...it was unique! The chicken was salsa good, not fatty, which is imperative for me! I also got rice and beans on the side, my husband said the beans were just like his grandmas! I'll be back for sure!

We are always greeted and seated upon arrival. The menu has great choices. The food is authentic and delicious. So many choices! Chile relleno is one of my favorites. But there are wonderful beef and pork selections. Recently a friend loved her chicken mole! The desserts are also great, so save room for cheesecake or carrot cake. And next door is a little bakery, so pick up something to bring home! This is a great restaurant to have a party or family get together. I have done both. I hosted a Cinco de Mayo luncheon with 35 ladies, some of whom had never been to that part of the valley. They loved it. Go and enjoy! Parking in the back. Support small local family businesses.

The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and exactly where you want to be on a hot summer day. The seafood was incredibly fresh and refreshing. I ordered the campechana kora, and my husband had the Aguachiles, both were absolutely delicious and perfect for the heat. What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind, patient, and welcoming. My husband has been practicing his Spanish, and instead of making him feel self-conscious, they were incredibly encouraging and sweet with him. Parking was easy to find, which was a plus. The ambiance was casual, relaxed, and family-friendly. They have multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, and during my visit, they were showing a soccer game. I always like it when a restaurant broadcasts sporting events, even if it means the place sometimes gets very packed. I was really looking forward to trying their shrimp ceviche, but to my disappointment, they had run out by the time I arrived. I decided to go with my backup option instead: the camarones a la diabla. Camarones a la diabla is a dish consisting of shrimp cooked in a spicy red chile sauce. This restaurant also serves it with rice, toast, and a side of vegetables. As the name suggests, the shrimp are supposed to be spicy. As a spice enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for the best spicy dishes. The shrimp were cooked well, but they had a sweet taste. It almost seemed as if they had used ketchup in the sauce to tone down the heat. I'm honestly not a fan of mixing sweet with spicy, at least when it comes to protein. The vegetables that came with the dish were soggy and flavorless. The rice was okay but could have been better. The toast was pretty good, it was buttery, garlicky, and crispy. Overall, this dish wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the best. The service during my visit was good. My server was attentive and helpful. He frequently stopped by to check if everything was okay. Overall, this experience didn't turn out exactly as I had expected, but it wasn't a bad experience by any means. I might return one day to try their shrimp ceviche.
