The father-son Rocco team came through for us on Memorial Day weekend within a short response time. While getting our Mother's home ready for the hardwood floors to be refinished, we lost power to a large portion of the home. The Roccos responded by coming on Sunday, promptly problem-solving the issue, and restoring power to the home and adding an outlet to the outside of the home for outside contractors to use while sanding the floors. They then switched out some old outlets and even helped me move a piece of furniture to the garage. We expected an outrageous invoice, but found it to be very reasonable. Kudos to this team. I was having an electrical issue on my front entry stair lights where it kept tripping my breaker panel. I called my home warranty company to report a claim and let's just say they sent someone over who could use a few more hours in electrical school. That electrician misdiagnosed my issue then disconnected my lights altogether. So, I yelped, googled, and read Nextdoor to see who my neighbors recommended for electrical issues and Rocco Construction continued to come up. I called and Pat (Owner) promptly called me back even though he was in an attic on a job. He told me his son Jeff (also an electrician and works for the company) would call to set an appt. Then, minutes later I literally got a call and set the appt. That in and of itself was praiseworthy: prompt communication when they said they would. So, Jeff comes, and rather than half-assing the job as last electrician did, he took the necessary time to correctly diagnose the issue, then had to go buy parts, gave me great recommendations, and really did an excellent job. He even helped on another little job unhooking a fan that automatically came on in our closet. I now have my electricians. Pat and Jeff are honest. Small family owned business. These guys are FANTASTIC! From start to finish, they listened to me and asked lots of questions, ensuring they did exactly what I wanted. My first contact with Pat was on the phone, at the time, I was quite naive about the process to replace my main electrical service panel. He very kindly walked me through all of the steps and gave me the contact numbers for the folks that I needed to speak with at Southern California Edison. Pat absolutely saved my holiday BBQ! Picture this, it's Saturday, the 4th of July & a hot day in the South Bay, no less. The A/C is on, Pandora is cranking some good 80s tunes & I'm about to settle into the kitchen to marinate some nice, thick pork chops for the BBQ, cold beer in hand. When suddenly, BAM! the power goes out. Yeah, when it's 88° outside. "88° is nothing", you say! But hey, we're South Bay-ers, so anything above 75° is hot. Yay, warm beer! Said no one, ever... Pat with Rocco Construction is very knowledgeable, thorough, and trustworthy. We had been experiencing flickering lights and intermittent power outages. We had called another electrician that replaced a breaker (which looked used) and told us that he couldn't guarantee that it would fix the problem. If the problem came back, he would have to troubleshoot all the fixtures and bill hourly. The problem continued so we decided to get a 2nd opinion. When we called Pat, he asked questions that led him to believe that it was an So CA Edison related problem and not our panel or fixtures and told us to call SCE. We also wanted our panel checked so he came out the very next day and checked all the points leading to the panel and showed us the most likely SCE cable connection problems.
