I came back to Rocco's after not having been here for a long time, and we had such a nice time! We went for happy hour with a group and enjoyed some drinks, guacamole and chips, and, of course, great company. We were able to put two high-top tables together, which worked out perfectly for our group, and we took advantage of the happy hour specials. And when it feels like 105° outside, sitting inside in the A/C is definitely the way to go! It was a fun, relaxed afternoon, and I'm glad I came back to Rocco's. Nate behind the bar always provides excellent service. during Happy Hour, where the margaritas are only $5. I went 2 yrs ago and remembered eating great tacos. Today the tacos were tasty but lacking in presentation. We ordered hand made tortillas for our tacos but we couldn't lift them because the tortilla were soggy and broken. We asked for new tortillas - to basically rebuild the tacos - and the server looked confused and said "that's the way it is." Seriously? Soggy, broken tacos is the way it is? The server was probably having a bad day! Even her asking if we needed more water was less than friendly. Not sure if we'd come back. It's expensive for soggy tacos and questionable service. read more

First time visiting a Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar and it certainly won't be my last. A great first visit. Table side guacamole was good so we ordered a second order. Delicious! I wasn't sure what I wanted to order so I ask the server what the most popular item that everyone loves. Shrimp Tacos was mentioned so I ordered them and they were excellent. A Great choice. Service was great. Booth seating was adequate for 5 people. No issues. The margaritas were excellent with a patron floater on top. I'll be back for sure! read more

Favorite spot in Boca to eat! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Happy Hour is Spot on with $5 beer, wine, Margaritas ant appetizers. Many different types of draft beer on tap. Delicious chips, salsa, queso, flautas, tacos, etc. The service is always great. Fantastic outside seating and indoor with high tops and booths. My favorite Margarita is the watermelon. We're going to take a trip to Mexico City so we thought we check out the food in Mexico by going to Rocco tacos. The guacamole was delicious with the chips. I ONLY REVIEW NACHOS. Rocco's is a great restaurant. These are not great nachos. At $23 -- listed at $20, charged at $23 -- they have a lot to answer for. The cheese is cotija. Cotija is a dry, crumbly finishing cheese that belongs on street tacos. It does not melt. It does not coat a chip. It sits on top like gravel. This is a menu design failure, not a kitchen mistake. The brisket flavor is excellent. The brisket cannot be eaten without a fork and a knife. Both were deployed. First time in series history. I finish nachos. I always finish nachos. I haven't been to this Rocco's in awhile but I'm so glad I got to spot by again! They have an amazing happy hour that goes until 7pm everyday at the bar and high tops. Everything is $5 on the happy hour menu too. Parking is a breeze in this plaza and free which makes this a very appealing Rocco's taco to visit. I decided to the draft beer today and I had no idea they have such a great selection! So many different options and I opted for a Blue Moon Draft. They have an amazing tap system because that was one of the best poured blue moons I have ever had. It was well carbonated and crisp. For food we ordered the flautas on the happy hour as well as a chicken and pork taco. Then also ordered the chips and salsa and the queso fundido. I have never had the queso from here before but I have to admit I liked it even more than the salsa. It's tastes like a real cheese unlike some queso's that taste like plastic. It also doesn't clump together when it gets a little less hot which is a huge perk that I think most queso from other places fall victim too. I can't wait to come back again soon as it was a great experience and Rocco's is a spot you can always enjoy with anyone as who doesn't like some good Mexican food. read more

I have been to Roccos Tacos in Tampa, Boca, and Sarasota. The vibe in Boca and Sarasota feels much better than the Tampa location and I think it is because of the area. The staff have always been friendly at every location and the atmosphere is consistent with very cool decorations and the same menu. The food always tastes the same no matter which one you go to. It is a fun sit down spot that is not too fancy. It is a slightly nicer restaurant, but still a fun place to go. The guac is my favorite. read more

The courtyard seating is very nice when it's not summer. All the restaurants in the courtyard have outside seating and it can get very busy and good people watching. The table side guacamole is a crowd pleaser and very fresh!! They fix it to your liking and can dial up or back the spice . Their chips are the star player they are not your average chip.
