We stopped at La Condesa for happy hour before a movie and met up with friends. We had a table reserved, which was great, and we were looking forward to enjoying some drinks and food before heading to the theater. The margaritas and beer were on the happy hour special, but unfortunately, that was about it. We had assumed the food was included in the happy hour specials, but we learned that the food specials are only on Tuesdays. That was definitely disappointing. We ended up ordering the nachos, which I'm not personally a fan of, although the majority of our group enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for me was how incredibly hot the restaurant was. There didn't seem to be any ventilation, and sitting there was really uncomfortable. We tried to find the manager to mention it, but by that point we were pretty miserable and decided to leave. We've always loved the food here, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We arrived around 2:50 p.m., were seated right away, and were ready to order by 2:55. Knowing lunch ended at 3:00, we had the lunch menu in hand. At one point, our server started walking toward our table, but after seeing me looking at the lunch menu, he turned around and went back to the bar to put dishes away. It honestly felt like he was trying to delay taking our order. My husband eventually had to call him over before 3:00. We ordered mahi-mahi tacos, and I was ordering the margarita chicken from the lunch menu. Instead of ringing it in right away, he waited until it was exactly 3:00 before telling us lunch was over. We asked to speak with the manager immediately. By the time she came to our table, it was still 3:00, yet she insisted there was nothing she could do because the computer wouldn't allow it. After I explained that I'd worked in restaurants and knew managers could make exceptions in situations like this, she finally agreed--but then rolled her eyes, walked away, and laughed with the server. My husband witnessed the whole thing. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable eating food prepared by people who were openly laughing at us, so we left. This was never about saving a few dollars. It was about customer service and doing the right thing. We've been loyal customers for years because we truly love the food, but the way we were treated today was so unprofessional that we may never come back. It's really sad because we genuinely enjoy this restaurant, but if this is how customers are treated and how management handles situations, it's not the kind of business I want to support. read more

Chi-Chi's throwback! La Condesa serves up your 1990's style Tex-Mex -- refried beans, rice, ground beef or chicken, and lettuce. The chips and salsa really were the highlight. The original margarita was overly spiced and too sweet, you could barely taste the alcohol. Overpriced. This makes sense MAYBE if you are leaving Boomers or Cinemark with the kiddos. We came here for Father's Day lunch. I love the atmosphere and there's so much seating inside. You can do up to big parties here for sure. I love the variety on the menu. Quick and friendly service, extensive menu with lots of seafood options, good chips and salsa with table side guacamole available. We were greeted and seated right away. Prices are reasonable for the portion size (lots were huge portions). Ordered a cilantro rice bowl with shrimp that was really good and the garnish was a quesadilla with extra crispy cheese (a personal favorite). Friend ordered steak fajitas. Said the meat and veggies were fantastic. Word of warning, their lunch menu on the back of the menu is only valid Monday through Friday so my friend whom ordered from there thought she was getting a smaller portion for a smaller price and was surprised to pay over $30 for her fajitas. Management really needs to post that on the menu. For some reason all the tvs in the restaurant were tunes to horse racing which is weird during the World Cup and Miami is a host city. Speakers were having some issues for the music and kept cutting out. Other than that, great random find close to the freeway on our drive from the Florida Keys back to Cape Canaveral. read more

This place absolutely blew me away! One of my friends and I decided to come here for New Years Eve dinner on a whim. They sat us in less than 5 minutes and it was very crowded. There were beautiful decorations covering the ceiling & adorned all over the restaurant. The service was timely. We ordered a skinny margarita and prickly pear margarita to start, which were delicious and strong! We started off with the tableside prepared guacamole, which we asked to be mixed mild. It was beyond fresh. Fresh is an understatement really. We couldn't get enough of it. When you're seated, there are complimentary chips with salsa. The salsa was a little spicy. For dinner, my friend ordered the pork burrito and I got the steak tacos with a side of shredded cheese. The steak tacos came with rice and pinto beans. There were onions and cilantro for toppings on the tacos. The tacos were on a soft tortilla. They were truly some of the best tacos I've ever had. So authentic, steak cooked to perfection. I can't believe I never knew this place existed--it's tucked away right on Airport Road, next to the movie theater, and it's an absolute gem! La Condesa is a wonderful Mexican restaurant serving all the traditional favorites plus some Americanized options for those who like a twist. The moment I saw they had chocolate mole on the menu, I was sold. This is not something you find everywhere, and the fact that they offer it here is a big win. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with the chocolate mole and it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My friend went with the chicken and shrimp fajitas, which were sizzling, fresh, and delicious. The restaurant itself is super clean and welcoming, and the staff is attentive--maybe too attentive at times. The servers circled back every 10 minutes or so, which was great for quick refills but also felt a little rushed, like they were hovering. That said, everyone was friendly and eager to make the experience great. One small note: the floor the night we went felt like it had just been waxed, so tread lightly! Overall, La Condesa is a hidden gem with authentic flavors, great portions, and a warm vibe. You will get 2 big ones and they are just delicious Everything is pretty good honestly BUT I won't be getting their chimichanga again because it's just filled with meat. That's it. The street tacos with the homemade corn tortillas. Amazing! Everything was so good and I just really enjoyed it there. They have a patio but it has so many fans and it was pretty cool out there as well. You can't go wrong here for a decent choice. First time visiting and won't be my last. Great restaurant and customer service. We had reservations for 7:30 pm and were given the option of outside or indoor seating. We were seated right away. The menu is large and so much to choose from. The drink menu is extensive as well. We decided on Mexican Coke and a Margarita as our drinks. For appetizer we ordered the tamales, they were so fresh and flavorful. Our main dish we shared a fajita that had steak shrimp and chicken that came out sizzling and seasoned to perfection. The ambiance was very laid back and gave sports bar. There was also a photographer going around taking pictures, you were able to choose how ever many you like for purchase ($20 each) and they came framed. I will definitely be back. read more

I'm not a huge fan of this restaurant. I have tried it twice. One time I had to ask for chips and salsa and they weren't even busy and by the time I was given the chips and salsa my food got plated immediately after. I got the chicken tacos and they were just okay. The location is great though. You can go eat and then go to your movie after. Been to La Condesa Mexican a few times and realized I haven't shared a review. Last night was a busy night for them and considering it's out of season for South Florida that's saying something. Ample parking and right next to Cinemark Movie which is very convenient if you want to grab dinner and a movie. The decor is upscale and inviting with Mexican flair. Inside and outside bar, and ample seating. Looks like they have capacity to host large parties. The menu is huge and has all the typical Mexican dishes. They also have some great appetizers. So many drinks to choose from and many non alcoholic ones as well. The salsa and green verde that come with the chips when you first sit down are really good! The salsa has a good kick to it The ceviche is very fresh and very tasty! The carnitas tacos were flavorful and accompanied by a great sauce for the tacos. I had the Mahi Tacos. They were very good, however I didn't realized the taco was served with puffed tortillas. Personally they tasted fried and a bit greasy. The mahi was seasoned really good and the blue crab was good but between the aioli and queso blue crab it made it feel like it was a bit much. I did like it but probably wouldn't get that dish again. First time ordering from this restaurant, and it was a delivery order. I ordered the goat cheese jalapeños and the flautas. I normally like jalapeños and spicy food, but the goat cheese jalapeños were too spicy for me. But, if you can handle spicy foods, they would be delicious. The goat cheese and balsamic drizzle added some really delicious flavors to them. The flautas were very good. Crispy, and the perfect proportion of chicken and crunchy shell. Update: we've been back here multiple times because it's so good. The carnitas tacos are amazing, the steak chimichanga and the steak salad are also amazing it comes with so much steak. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Cali burrito is humongous and delicious!! And the skinny margarita is delicious and fresh!! The classic margarita is made with a premade mix and not very good, but the skinny is so much better. Only complaint is the margaritas are pretty expensive.. $17 or $10 on happy hour. read more

I came here for a staff lunch and the service went smoothly! The server made suggestions to staff who had questions on what would be best to order. The portions were big! I got the birria tacos and that came with rice and beans. The food was good and I had to get a to-go container so I can eat some more at home. May 2026, the day we went to this restaurant the place was not crowded. The service was ok, and our Server was pleasant. They brought a bowl of chips and SMALL bowl of salsa to our table of 4, but I was not happy when I ask the Server for extra salsa and she wanted to charge us $3.00 EXTRA! Are they kidding me, how cheap can this restaurant get. I have never been charged extra for a small bowl of salsa. We ordered the Steak Fajita $29.99 that came out sizzling and tasted pretty good. The meat was tender, but a little charred. With the Fajita if I recall correctly they gave us 3 SMALL soft tacos, honestly with that meal for $29.99 they should have given us 6 soft tacos. The house white wine Pinot Grigio for $8 was delicious. Honestly, we won't be back there to eat because the place leaves me with a cold feeling. Everything is so good! I've tried a few in Boca Raton and La condesa NEVER disappoints !! I personally get the super burrito it is like a $19 burrito but SO WORTH IT I recently went there for that burrito and they messed up my order - remade the burrito no charge and let me keep the other burrito too !! We had a 6;45 reservation and arrived a few minutes early. Although the restaurant was crowded, we were immediately seated. Our waiter quickly arrived with menus & water, returning a few minutes later with fresh, hot tortilla chips and a dish of great salsa. Then we ordered Margaritas that came in a huge glass. Their menu is quite extensive and has a wide & varied selection of food. My date ordered the Chicken Fajitas and I had the Chili Rellenos. Both entrees were enough to feed a family of four. The food, drinks and service were exceptional! During the dinner, about 4 tables had people celebrating birthdays. The Birthday boy/girl had a Sombrero placed on their head while Waiters sang Happy Birthday. I thought a least one Celebrant wasn't really having a birthday, but wanted the free dessert. I have so many questions for the people leaving five-star reviews here. Do they not have functioning taste buds? Were they eating somewhere else entirely? Because this was, without exaggeration, the worst Mexican food experience I've ever had. (Oh, and we spoke up about it. To multiple people. INCLUDING the manager.) I went with a big group after work and every single person at the table was disappointed. Tacos? Bland. Rice? Tasted like it came from a freezer bag. Refried beans? Somehow both flavorless and sad. Nothing tasted fresh, and everything tasted like it had been sitting in the back since last week. I started with a classic margarita...because surely you can't mess up a margarita, right? Wrong. It tasted like someone mixed lime juice with ocean water and called it a day. Then came the $15 tableside guacamole, which was so bad I actually sent it back. The avocados were unripe, there was zero seasoning, no garlic, no detectable cilantro, not even a pinch of SALT... giant jagged chunks of jalapeño, and enough lime juice to pickle a small animal. I tried to fix it with an obscene amount of salt and even dumped some salsa in there. It was beyond saving. At this point, I figured dessert couldn't possibly go wrong. I ordered churros as a last-ditch effort. They were so hard I could've used them to build a fence. I ate one out of sheer spite. The prices are insulting for food this bad. The chips and salsa weren't my favorite, but I think that was issue of personal taste because I prefer a fresh tasting salsa over a more seasoned one.
