I did not get names but the younger fair skin lady with glasses was the most helpful and another older lady who was probably an owner/partner/manager. There was another younger woman around with braids and glasses that needed a little more customer service training. Her name may be Sharisse or something like that. Food wise.... I had the oxtail cheesesteak. Like other reviews, the fat needs to be trimmed more but they are quite tender. However, I doubt I try it again. For the sides, I was able to taste the Mac and cheese, candied yams, black eyed peas, and greens. That's the order in which the taste is decent. The Mac isn't quite a creamy Mac, it's definitely baked which is cool. The yams were good, just heavily sugared. The black eyed peas were okay but they were lukewarm. And the greens were a miss, I prefer a bit more heat/spice on mine and these had bitter and sweet mixed together. Lastly, I tried the banana pudding and the kool aid. Kool aid was like church punch if that's your thing and the banana pudding was thick. I'm a dessert guy and I maybe only ate a third of it. Overall, it's clean and chill. But it's definitely take out as there is no seating available.

There are a few tables and chairs in the restaurant which are nice for sitting and waiting for your food or if you want to eat it there. I brought it to management's attention, and Ayana handled the situation professionally and respectfully. She listened to my concerns and even offered a refund, which I declined because I appreciated how she addressed the issue. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized my order was missing the seafood salad that I had paid for. I called the next morning, and Nancy was very polite over the phone. She apologized, asked me to come back for the missing item, and even offered an additional item for the inconvenience. However, my experience completely changed when I returned to the restaurant. Again, I wasn't acknowledged upon entering. When I asked for Nancy, she silently handed me seafood salad without saying a word. I decided to request a refund instead because I had already made a second trip to correct the restaurant's mistake. I was told only the owner could issue refunds. As I tried to discuss the situation, another employee inserted himself into the conversation in an aggressive manner, repeatedly interrupting me while I calmly stated that I simply wanted a refund. I even requested a copy of my original receipt since I was never given one when I paid, but that request was refused. Instead of working toward a resolution, I was told the police would be called. The most frustrating part is that none of this would have happened if my order had been prepared correctly the first time. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds to those mistakes is what matters. Unfortunately, I left feeling ignored, disrespected, and intimidated over a reasonable request. I hope ownership reviews its customer service practices, employee professionalism, and food handling procedures because no customer should have this kind of experience trying to resolve a mistake made by the restaurant.
