My family and I were in the area and decided to grab lunch here on a Sunday. We arrived just after opening, and our group was seated promptly on the patio. We've visited other R&R locations and knew it was a great spot for large groups. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports and spacious indoor and outdoor dining with a play area for kids in the back. During this visit, we enjoyed many things from the menu. I ordered Alice Cooper's Poison Burger. The burger was delicious, had a nice combination of spicy ingredients, and the beef patty was cooked to my request. I opted to upgrade my side dish to a Caesar's salad. My family also ordered the Fish n Chips, South x Southwest Egg Rolls, Blackened Chicken Caesar Wrap, Oklahoma Smash Burger, and a few more. They all enjoyed what they had. The only item that was under par was the sweet potato fries. The drink menu had some nice options of house cocktails, beers, spirits, mocktails, and more. I ordered a Carajillo, a cocktail with Liqcor 43, and espresso, which was well made and had thick, creamy foam on top. Our server, Victoria, was friendly and attentive. It was generously filled with tender beef on a toasted bun with fries on the side and warm dipping au jus My friend had chicken tacos which I didn't try but was said to be pretty good. I've had their chicken wings before which was really good. The food IMHO has improved since I first went during the pandemic when their tri tip sandwich was tough and the fish and chips was burned. We sat at the one of the tables, good amount of TVs, bar seating, and outdoors. Not sure if they were low on staff but took 15 min to get our server. We ordered the classic burger, hazy ipa, sweet potato fries, and purple rain donut dessert. For $7.99 burger was generous in size. Very beefy and bread was soft, a little too greasy for me but overall hearty and filling. My fiances sweet potato fries were amazing, not overly salty or greasy and it was fun waffle shaped. First time visiting this location in Tustin. We came with our daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter. Terrific atmosphere for adults but also for kids. They have a playground area outside that was the center point for the young at heart. We enjoyed the bone in and boneless wings with Thai Chili sauce that was just the right heat - Not over the top. Love the huge number of beers on tap and the fact that you can customize your beer flight with any of the beers listed and not a select list. The one thing I would critique would be the service as they appeared significantly short staffed for a weekend service and it delayed our large party receiving both our food and drinks. I have been a server in a few previous jobs and they lost track of orders and took way too much time to get food and drink to its proper place. Rock & Brews epitomizes the family restaurant but with a rock 'n' roll twist. According to their website, their "founders have a natural appreciation for Rock 'n' Roll music, an affinity for craft beer, and a desire for classic comfort food." I've visited a number of times with the fam and I can vouch for the restaurant being kid friendly. The Tustin location has a play area which is perfect if you have young children. The kids can play while their parents throw back a few cold ones! I appreciate all the rock 'n' roll themed decor and album covers, so check out the art displayed on the walls and ceiling next time you visit. Service is friendly and attentive. On my most recent visit, I ordered a smash burger and upgraded my side to a Caesar salad. It wasn't the best smash burger I've had, but it was tasty nonetheless. I washed down my meal with a Franziskaner which they had on draft. Rock & Brews has a legit tap list and they also serve wine and "rocktails". They even have a happy hour! Pro Tip: I recommend calling in before you visit to see if there are any special events being held on-site. We showed up once for a kid's birthday party and there was a School of Rock performance happening at the same time. I do love the atmosphere here. It is so unique. As a musician I really appreciate the rock band motif and decor all throughout the place. It's also great that this place just gives a ver patriotic vibe and it is dog friendly! The servers are always great and accommodating The food however, is very average in my opinion. In the past I have had their pulled pork sandwich, chipotle glazed wings, 3 street tacos on Taco Tuesday. All of which were very average. I love pulled pork sandwiches everywhere I go, but it was very dry and the sauce was not that good. The wings were OK, but much better at places like BJ's. The 3 taco plate was not enjoyable at all Today I had the turkey club sandwich. This was delicious. My kid had the chicken Caesar which again was below average. It was just too hot to cook tonight so we took the fam out for a TGIF dinner! The place was crazy busy - the front staff seemed a little discombobulated so there were several groups waiting to be seated. I think there were just too many people at the front, so we kept getting asked how many people in our group, then we'd just wait. Once seated, we ordered some nachos as an appetizer right away (we got it meatless this time) - they were delicious! I'm thinking we must have been starving because I didn't get a chance to take a picture of them before we devoured them! The chips were light, the cheese sauce was really good (& that's coming from a girl who doesn't usually like cheese sauce) - and all the toppings were really good. We all really enjoyed them!! Like I mentioned, the restaurant was really busy, and our waitress, Elena, was running around to all her tables she was waiting on - we had a little bit of a wait at the beginning, but then once she was able to get our orders, things moved along real smoothly. Elena checked in with us periodically, cleared our dirty plates, and if we needed anything, she got it as soon as she could. We enjoyed her enthusiasm and friendliness! Everyone enjoyed their meals. A couple of us got the combo pizza, then we also got fish and chips, chicken sandwich, and beet salad. All of our meals were really good! And we ended the meal with their delicious s'mores dessert. The place also has a good selection of brews and overall has a decent atmosphere. The outdoor patio is nice especially when the weather is nice. I really like the specials here as they are affordable and a good value especially in these times where going to mcdonalds is going to cost you about the same price. As i get older now, i like the nostalgic rock and roll feel of the place especially with the old music videos playing in the background. I am here for LFC-ManU and the atmosphere is electric. Unfortunately the service is anything but. The first male server took our drink order and our card to start a tab, and we also asked for a menu. He did not return. At the end of the first half, we flagged down a female server and told her what happened. She took our drink order and said she would return with menus. She never came back. We finally saw the first server towards the end of the match and told him we never got our drinks. He came back 10 minutes later with only one of our drinks, a coffee, and forgot the rest. Still no menus. I was thinking maybe it was because we were seated in the patio, but there so many other tables with food and drinks on them. I've been here for dinner several times and had no issues. So maybe the staff as overwhelmed with the morning crowd. Halfway through my nachos, I found an old, chewed-up, what looked like a hot sauce cap buried under the toppings. It was filthy, and who knows how long it had been sitting there! We came in on a weekday lunch so that's important context as it was not too busy, so we got seated immediately, were served quickly and food came out in the right amount of time. I would expect Friday and Saturday evenings are far more busy and a very different vibe, as it has a full bar with lots of seating and screens playing sports. However, as a lunch spot, we enjoyed it and utilized a coupon which made it more affordable. There's other special days where food is discounted as well such as Taco Tuesday, which seemed like a good value. Given its name, you should expect there will be music and music videos playing, and so it's not a quiet place, but it also wasn't at a concert volume where you can barely have a conversation. To enjoy the sun and get a little quieter environment, there is a lot of outdoor seating. While they did have a kids play area outside and plenty of high chairs, you may need to be careful with the little kids as some of the videos show scantily-clad women, typical of rock music videos, and violence as well. Only issues we had were they were out of a particular side dish we wanted, and some entrees were not quite as large as we would have liked for the price, but we did find everything delicious and enjoyed our visit. read more

We had called ahead and were saved three tables outside near the play area since we had a few kids with us. The food and drinks were all delicious. Our service was the standout point that warranted this review. It was a Sunday afternoon and we were surprised to see a few employees (no one in the reception area). Also, I wasn't aware of the new menu, and things like the jalapeño poppers are now available! but unfortunately the food was kind of 50/50... we ordered jalapeño poppers, chicken nachos, mango habanero wings and the cheeseburger rolls. The wings were the one app that took 1st place: they were perfectly cooked, meaty and the amount of sauce wasn't overwhelming. Came with celery and carrots that somehow were kinda wet and with a runny ranch dipping sauce. The jalapeño poppers were good however some of them were cleaned properly and some of them were full of seeds and very, very spicy. Lol The nachos were covered with all toppings but there was a little too much of corn and the chicken pieces were kinda dry. The cheeseburger rolls were the tables least favorite but I really liked them: basically the pickles were too big and overwhelming for everyone, except for me because I love pickles in my burger lol. The poor waiter was running all over the place and out 2nd round of drinks took forever :-( The desert was purple rain and while they weren't dry and cooked perfectly, we enjoyed the chocolate and berry drizzle the actual donut flavor wasn't there. We all believed needs a little ice cream instead of whipped cream. We believe they are short staffed and this is why these things happened. This was the first time I've ever been to any of these locations and I must say, I wish I've dined here sooner. The bartender Natalie and our server Stephanie were awesome. Super attentive and made sure we had all the extra napkins, ranch, etc. The group I was decided to get a variety of items. The wings, nachos, and garlic fries were delicious. A little heavy on the oil and butter for the garlic fries but hey...nachos were some of the better choices amongst chain restaurants so major bonus. The waiter (Jacob) was very nice and helpful and I felt bad that it seemed everything went wrong with the visit. First we were seated under a stage type light that was flickering and causing several at our table to start getting headaches. We asked then to turn it off which they did but then they turned it back on and it began flickering again. We asked again and they offered us to move tables which we did. We noticed the lights were later turned off, which I'm not sure why they didn't just keep them off initially anyways. Then my mother asked for a margarita and they brought a glass of wine (they fixed). Once the food came, they brought fries instead of the ordered onion rings (also fixed). They never brought our kids sodas which were ordered part of the kids meals. The food itself was very subpar. The wings and Cobb salad were good but the pretzel was tasteless and the mustard was way too strong of a bad taste. Pizza was comparable to a bad store bought pizza. So many things wrong with this place to include improper items displayed on the walls for kids to see. The waiter was very nice throughout it all but I'm not sure how this place stays in business. I came two recent Friday lunches in a row just to make sure the tepid service wasn't a one-time thing. Unfortunately, it was tepid to downright mediocre, with a lot of reasons why. Expect to wait for water. Wait some more to order... and only after you ask another waiter where your waiter is, who then just takes your order because who knows when the original server will come around. Expect a lot of apologies- big party in the corner , them all wanting separate checks, short staffed so manager has to help. I checked my watch and it took 45 minutes to get our order in because of the above reasons. Well, the prior Friday at noon, there were no big parties and separate checks and we still had to wait close to 30 min to get our order in. The servers just disappear. Maybe that's why there's BOGO free coupons popping up for Mon-Wed dining and $5 off on other days. But if they're going to entice patrons in, please make sure you are staffed for it, especially for those on a schedule. We don't usually have 90min to 2 hours. The food ranges from pretty good to not a good value, especially the kid burgers. They give so little fries and the meat on the bun is thin and small. $8.95 does not feel worth it even taking into account inflated food prices. read more

Just wanted to share some recent experiences we've had at this location. We started going here on Monday nights about a month ago because of the convenience for us and I believe went 3x total in that time frame. Why Monday nights? My daughter has dance so we can eat here "quickly" and have a decent meal before dance. This has been the option because on Monday around 5pm, they happen to be rather slow so we can get in and out. We just order the girls food from the kids menu, and food off their happy hour menu. The first time we went, the service was ok, not stellar but not bad. We had a food runner who was more helpful than our actual waitress so that was cool. Then the two following times we went, the service was terrible. The second time, we did actually get service again too, so we got our food and drinks, but everything just took forever. She took forever to get our orders out, and then just to check out took 15 mins so we were late to dance. We decided to go back the 3rd time because well, like I said, it's convenient. It's close to dance, the food is good, they have a kids play area which the girls love and we love because it's gated and we can watch them play while we enjoy drinks inside. Oh, almost forgot to mention another enticing part, kids eat free on Mondays! So, we end up just paying for our drinks and happy hour food, which ends up coming out to like $40 with tip. Can't beat that for a family of 4. Well, this last time we went, we were seated and waited about 15-20 minutes before we left. No one came to our table after we were sat down. And the place was empty. Maybe a few people at the bar, and a 4 tables with people at them, but literally bare bones in the restaurant and no one came to us. There was a guy behind the bar folding silverware and chatting it up with some folks at the bar, a waiter who never looked at us, and the manager I'm assuming bc he wears the collared shirt, idk could be just a host, who sat us, but I couldn't really tell if there were other staff too. Maybe they were short staffed? Not sure. Just know it's a bad experience when we are trying to feed 2 hungry young kids who didn't understand why we had to leave and go grab fast food instead. Don't think we will be going back unfortunately. They aren't the only restaurant around, they aren't the only kid friendly place, and they aren't the only affordable place when kids eat free because otherwise the food isn't necessarily cheap. read more

We visited Sunday for lunch. Our server Elizabeth greeted us with 3 waters. She gave us a few minutes to look at the menu and order. She took our orders, and asked if we needed anything else. When our server mentioned lemon for our waters, we said YES. Though, our lemon wedge never arrived. Its just a pet peeve, if you're going to ask us and offer it, please bring it. We never had our server stop by enough to check to refill out waters. That I was sitting there unable to eat my fish tacos, because I needed water, as we sat near the patio and it was a very hot day. Food: Bavarian Pretzel- It was not at all soft, it was hard and the mustard dipping sauce was not at all delicious. It was a huge disappointment and pretty much we boxed the rest of it but tbh I ended up tossing it. Such a waste of $12.95. Fish Tacos- Due to no water for my pregnant self and sitting in a not well air conditioned area. I couldn't enjoy my fish tacos. The beans was fine. The fish didn't really have much flavor besides the pickled onions and beer battered fish. I had to add salt to it. I ended up tossing the 1 fish taco and rest of my food. It was not very edible. $15.95 Spicy Chicken Soft Tacos- Lets say, if you're titling your item "soft" then can you make sure the tortilla is soft? It was so hard and over cooked, all you can eat was the contents and the tortilla was tossed $15.95 Tri Tip Platter- This entree was enjoyed. Though, they forgot the salad, so they brought that out, which made having the salad not out first, a little annoying. We like to have our salad out first to enjoy before the entree, that way when the entree is out after the salad, it can be enjoyed HOT. Not COLD! The salad really should have been taken off the bill bc the tri trip was cold and rest of the food was cold once the salad was finished. Overall, the server didn't visit to check in on us for water refills, never brought us lemons, didn't give us the right things to box up the left overs like lids for condiments. The food was not that great, and it was very hot and with a band playing out on the patio, I felt like we were forgotten due to the fundraiser going on outside and we were placed in the corner where we couldn't try to get our servers attention. I think a manager needs to work on making sure guest/customers are well taken care of. Especially on a hot day, that we may need more drinks or even another beer. read more

I learned about this place while being part of the Orange County Liverpool fan club. This restaurant has been able to cater to the fans and the games in the early crazy hours of the morning. Not only that they have the biggest smile and ready to serve, even if it's just water. They managed to pull us together and keep us happy. I love coming here. Their food, their TVs the atmosphere and the staff makes it a memorable experience during the soccer season and beyond r. I have also been here when it's regular business hours restaurant and I have to say the vibe is happening. Lots of energy and amazing service. They never fall short regardless of the purpose. It's a perfect spot to bring the family and watch any game. read more
