First time coming here. Hidden gem for sure. Located on Redhill and close to work. Owner is quite friendly and the food comes fast. I ordered their turkey avocado bacon sandwich on squaw bread and it was made fresh and tasty. I also added a combo of fries and soda and side of ranch. Total bill came out to be around $18. Some items in the menu doesn't have prices so I wasn't sure what the overall cost would be. Good service. Indoor decor looks like cafeteria / bar area. Kind of dark but I like how big it looks inside. Outside you would think it's a business building.

Bread Basket is located in a business complex at Red Hill and Valencia. Their front door faces Red Hill. If I'm in a hurry, and in a pinch, I come here to get a sandwich when it's super busy at work. Thankful this is close by. The staff are friendly and down to earth. Their breads are soft and yummy and there's a variety to choose from. You can add on chips and a drink to make it a combo. If you're there to hang out for a while, there's a pool table around the corner in the back and a small bar.

Been coming here for 20+ years, ordered a #8 club, bacon and avocado. To go. Got back to work and low and behold not even 1 slice of turkey!!!! Would have been nice to have a balanced club sandwich instead of just bacon.

The pastrami is divine. The pickles are amazing. The BLT is fire too. That's all you need to know.

Talk about a hole in the wall this is about as local as you can get. I was forced into going and I'm glad I was the food. Here is great. The onion rings are very tasty as are the french fries they have a whole bunch of sandwiches to choose from the staff is really nice and courteous and service is quick mix a bar with a sandwich place with a pool Hall and you've arrived at the bread basket. Check it out!

Five stars for what we needed: fast, tasty, and local. So tasty in fact, we inhaled our sammies before any pictures were taken. Did manage to snag a takeout menu to upload for current options and prices. Got the Italian grinder on a French roll with sweet peppers and added mayo and deli mustard. Friend got turkey, avocado, and cheese on squaw, and two more grinders on sourdough. Pretty rare to find squaw bread on a menu these days. Bread was soft and fresh. Sammies were no muss no fuss and filling. Good amount of avocado too. They've got self serve sliced jalapeños and yellow chilis on the bar side of the spot so don't miss it if you're a spicy lover like me. Opted for Mac salad instead of chips and it was a good call. They've got nicely dressed Mac salad here. I could see stopping in for a cold beer and a comforting sandwich here after a shift. Call in an order if you're close to lunch time. We just barely beat the rush, but the staff knocked through it quickly.

I have been craving a good sandwich so I googled a good place to go, and this place did not disappoint. They had many sandwiches to choose from and you can customize with your choice of bread, cheese, and toppings. So fresh and delicious. It satisfied my craving.

Bread basket is a small sandwich shop that can be a little hard to find. It's within a complex that I think mostly consists of business offices. Walking in, I feel like I'm transported to the 1900s. There's a pool table, retro game machines, a bar, etc. I come for the sandwiches, though. The sandwiches are super delicious. They do take a bit to come out, but are so worth it. I love the philly, and order it every time. There are two sizes available, and I usually can just barely finish the regular (smaller) size.

Such a cute and homey little spot in the wall! I was in the area and was curious to try this place out, and as an onion ring lover... I was even more stoked! Italian Grinder (3.5/5): Solid sandwich! Exactly what you would expect out of an Italian Sub! They were generous with the fillings and cooked everything fresh to order. The only thing I would recommend is requesting sub dressing (olive oil, salt, pepper) or even mayo because it did get a bit dry! Onion Rings (5/5): Star of the show! These were phenomenal and were worth the wait. They cooked them fresh for us and so the batter was nice and crispy! Well seasoned and the onion inside is still hot. Comes with ranch! Would come back for these rings

Good sandwiches. The cheese steak meat is a little bland. Could use more seasoning. Good selection of drinks. Good value.

After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Note on the staff: I want to make sure the staff isn't blamed for this. I've been coming here off and on for 5 years, and the bartenders have always been excellent. PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe.
