    Adult beverages!

One of our first stops while visiting Rockland, Maine. We are very happy that we chose this spot! Some truly good beer on tap and excellent beverages! They also have a TouchTunes jukebox. The locals that were there were very friendly! My wife and I started with their onion circles. A very light breading that almost fell apart on touch, but we're extremely delicious! My wife chose to have their Grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. She went without the french fries decided for their Caesar salad while I did their fish and chips with a Caesar in place of their chips. Our meals were terrific! My second piece of fish could've probably use another minute in the fryer. All said it was absolutely delicious! Would love to come back.

This was the only place I could find that was open on Sunday night, and we were not disappointed! The Fish & Chips was delicious, fish was fresh and moist with a well seasoned/crispy light batter, coleslaw was very tasty, and the fries were crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. My only fuss is the same as other restaurants that use metal trays to serve dinner on, the fries cool down so fast that I only enjoy the first few. The meal did take a while due to only one waitress for the whole place who was wonderful and was working very hard!

Perfect for our rainy Monday night. Bartender was fun, beer delicious and our Haddock sandwich and Fish & Chips hit the spot.

We decided to eat here on our annual trip down to Rockland. Apparently it was their first day open in a while. Everything was spotless, tables were spaced out, and they had outside seating available as well. Staff all wore masks and menus were disposable. I got the fish tacos (I was a little hesitant because of the chipotle aioli because I don't like chipotles much) and they were delicious. I kind of wish the serving was bigger, or had a side with it, because while they were yummy, I was pretty hungry not long after lunch. All the items on the menu were similarly and fairly priced, so lunch didn't break the bank at all.

Service was slow, beer and seltzer was flat and not very good. Food was good but expect a brewery to shine on beverages.

Two different meals - ordered haddock sandwich that was very fishy (could not eat it) - my husbands haddock basket was very fresh.

We settled on Waterworks and it was great! Despite our walking we weren't overly hungry and so decided to split a turkey club (another benefit of splitting it was that we could have onion rings!). The staff couldn't have been nicer - and although it was a bit slow, when the sandwich arrived it was perfect - yummy real turkey on sourdough with a nice lettuce and tomato, crispy bacon and just the right amount of mayo. We opted for onion rings - and they are the good kind - thin, crispy, not frozen. It was all totally delicious.

I asked what one of the beers was in the menu and she didn't even know what I was asking. Took forever to get food and it wasn't busy. She brought out 3 of the meals and then we finally got the other two meals 15 minutes later. She didn't ask if we needed refills on our empty drinks the entire time. She never brought the chowder I ordered. Never asked if the food was ok or if we needed anything else. Then waited forever to get our bill. I will say most of the food was ok. The broiled scallops were terrible but everything else was decent. And the outdoor patio area was really nice. I'm not from Maine so I won't be back but if I was from Maine, I'd make a point to never go back.

The Greek gryo had a wonderful tzatziki sauce, fresh veggies, juicy chicken with a great sear. The haddock fish had a light, airy, and crispy batter. It was tender, and had a great flavor when paired with the tartar sauce. The kid's Mac and cheese was also fantastic. Most restaurants sell you kraft Mac and cheese, not here. The Mac and cheese was made with cork-screw pasta, a thick, creamy, cheese sauce, topped with a crust of additional cheese and bread crumbs. The food also had very nice plating considering the price point. Each meal was presented in a way that showed thought, and craftsmanship. Overall, this restaurant had the most memorable food of my trip to Maine.

We had intended to eat at a different restaurant, however, said restaurant was full, and this was a back up. When we called they said we're empty so we said fine we are on our way. We arrived and the interior was interesting, not bad just interesting and we thought OK we'll just get a quick meal nothing right home about. It'll be fine. However. Fine is not enough to describe it. Don't walk, RUN to order the broiled haddock plaki. What an AMAZING surprise. Flavorful haddock with feta tomato and lemon on top, perfectly sautéed zucchini and yellow squash, and a rice and tomato combo that was absolutely shovel in mouth inducing. Other dishes that were described as out of this world included the atuffed haddock, fried clams, chicken tenders, and don't get me started on the FRITES!! Paired with a can sauvignon that was an excellent selection by the bar team, I was in heaven and had to be rolled away from the table. Absolute perfection in every bite!!

I think the problem is that it's been given a pass for so long that now it's reputation is untouchable, and this unfortunately is going to be a humbling post. It was highly recommended to us by our hotel during our stay in Rockland, and we went the first night, of which they were booked out but no problem at all, it smelled so good we decided to make reservations for the subsequent night. So we did. Mind you, let me caveat and say it's also always a challenge to eat at Italian restaurants, because it means that someone has to make a sauce that's better than you can make it home, and that's normally not the case, save a few exceptions. So we came back, excited, and ready to be blown away, because of the house made pasta, because of the amazing aroma, and because of the beautiful ambience. However, all of our meals fell short. Spaghetti & meatballs, the meatballs were quite dry and somewhat crumbly, and the sauce while yes fresh still had no flavor. The pasta, which was probably most of the excitement for eating there did not taste as delightful as you know fresh noodles should taste. Pizzas were just ok, and although the eggplant Parmesan was cooked well, again the same sauce was used to flavor it and was still non descript. Our server was phenomenal in good news, checking In repeatedly, saw the uneaten meatballs, and asked if there was a problem, which I just replied they weren't quite what I expected. Also, the vibe in the restaurant was amazing. So if anything I would go for that, but food would not recommend.

We had the carbonara and the margherita pizza. Both were quite delicious. The carbonara was genuinely one of the best I've had in some time. The pizza was light and not overtly heavy or dense. Overall though the vibe was great and I would definitely go back when in town

This one is located in downtown Camden and offers some outdoor patio seating with great views. Sea Dog Brewing is by no means in talks of outstanding beers or brewery considering the far superior competition the state of Maine has. Even their most popular blueberry beer tastes much more artificial than you would hope. Sea Dog has been a brewery for a long while but I don't think they have kept up with the quality of craft beer you can find now. Now despite that negative talk overall about their beers I do believe most of the locations do offer quality pub food. You will find a variety of options including sandwiches/burgers, salads, pasta, soups, and more. It's a spot that everyone in your party including picky eaters will find something they want. It does have a lot of space available for dining. Service wise during our visit was alright. Ordering took awhile and time of seeing our server from one time to next took a little while. Food wise I went with Sesame Chicken Bowl and my wife got the Sautéed Lemony Chicken Piccata. Food was alright, my wife's chicken was quite dry. Overall I think it's an alright spot to grab a bite to eat when in Camden. You can likely find better spots but like I mentioned they do offer quite a variety here so give it a shot.
