Nice lunch atmosphere. I had a nice Scotch Egg with a beer n water (sidecar shot of Jameson). I was offered the special which was a nice homemade Mac n' cheese with chilli. I opted for the two grilled hotdogs dressed with kraut, chilli and yellow mustard alongside a bowl of the Mac and a pickle spear. Shannon took great care of me! Drinks filled, no waiting for service. She offered social talk along with a nice Irish girl moral compass. I truly appreciate your candor and amazing service! Cheers Shannon! Shane!

Brown bread, tastes like B&M. Toasted without butter

Went in today on a whim, hoping to get some authentic Irish grub. My companion had shepherds pie. It had potential, but really failed. If the kitchen had used any seasoning on the ground beef, perhaps it would have been good. The bread was B&M and not buttered when toasted. I had the bangers and beans. The sausage was mild. The beans were meh. Sauerkraut was tasty as were the veggies--they were seasoned and delicious. Our waitress was frazzled, but nice. She made nice conversation. The bar itself was tired and old looking, with lots of steps up and down. Luckily they were only in the entrance, otherwise I would have had a problem navigating. All in all, it was an average meal with less than stellar atmosphere.

Super nice waitress. They were pretty busy and she was on it. The place is very cool with a bar off to the side and a small dining room in a sort of separate space. Food was great, too. We got a burger, haddock and fish & chips. All were great. Just wish haddock filet were a little bigger. Had an old fashioned which wasn't very good, but then the black and tan was a beauty.

The ambiance was super cool and the mashed potatoes were AMAZING! Service was mediocre but fairly prompt. Definitely worth a visit! Around 20 bucks a plate

I have been to Finn's many times over the past 10 years and the new owners have done a wonderful job keeping the friendly atmosphere, good beers and comfortable setting. We were greeted quickly and were seated in the bar area as we requested. Service was good at first and then got kind of spotty. The food has always been just OK but at this last visit my blackened fish sandwich didn't make the grade. The fish was fine but the Cajun seasoning was dumped (like a full tablespoon) on top of the already cooked fish. I am not sure the cook understood how a blackened fish sandwich is prepared. Other meals such as the hot dogs were noted as bland, too basic.

Unique pub ... beer was nice and cold and food was amazing! We liked it so much we had dinner here twice while here on vacay!

Food was ok. Burger was not well done. But ok. I really wanted to love the blueberry margarita but it was so strong I couldn't drink it. Chairs are hard and uncomfortable. Waitress was great. Chips good. Would try another place if back in the area

    Ruben sandwich with mashed potatoes

Finn's Irish Pub is a favorite spot to go. The food is amazing! I had a Ruben sandwich that melted in my mouth. I can't wait to go back. The service is great! The staff is very friendly. The ambience is like an Irish pub.

My Family and I came here while on vacation. It's a cute and quaint restaurant that really did feel like an true Irish pub. Guinness pours were perfect and staff was extremely friendly. I had the best haddock chowder I've ever had and my mom loved her boiled dinner. I'd highly recommend coming here for some Irish fare and good drinks!

Fish & chips. The fish was not fried properly. What is pictured is the outer layer of the fish--what's supposed to be crispy was doughy.

Not for me personally, as I would have liked more flavor from the infusions, but that's definitely a personal preference. The Blackened Fish Sandwich with a Small Caesar Salad had very flakey fish. I loved the meld of flavors, and ended up devouring my sandwich! The bun held together well. The caesar salad was a decent size and well dressed. Definitely a cool spot to hit for good food and a great pub vibe!

Our server was all over the place, at one point serving half my table drinks while leaving the rest of the drinks on the side and walking to another set of tables to take their order and get their check. While I completely understand the struggles of being understaffed, it was very odd to have someone leave midway through several times. This behavior continued when we tried to order food as well. The food was subpar, and there weren't many items on the menu that didn't feel heavily fried. I will say the nachos were my favorite as they felt the most flavorful, but everything else we ordered met my pub food expectations.

I like the Blackened Haddock Tacos and the pretzel sticks. Pro Tip: get BOTH the "beer cheese" and the "beer mustard" and get extra of both. You might have extra, but you can use the extra on sandwiches tomorrow. The extra mustard is also great with cheese and crackers as a snack. The blueberry cobbler is fantastic! The peanut butter pretzel pie did not impress my husband; he said the pretzels themselves tasted cheap, like grocery store pretzels. I have been trying to get them to add a vegetarian pasty to the menu. They have almost nothing vegetarian in there, and a Greggs style cheese and onion pasty would also be extremely traditional and surely wildly popular. PLEASE ADD A VEGETARIAN PASTY!! And/or a fish pasty, which would also be very traditional. Oooh, what about a Stargazy Pasty with leeks and cream? Now, THAT would be traditional and would certainly get some media attention. I will raise my rating to 5 stars as soon as this place adds a good vegetarian or fish Signature Entree (preferably a pasty!!). That is literally the only reason they're not getting 5 stars, that it's way too oriented towards meat eaters. (They do have a grilled cheese toasty and a vegan garden burger, so I would still go there if you are vegetarian or vegan, but keep your expectations low when it comes to selection.)

I loved how all of the bartenders and servers seemed to pitch in and help out. There was never the feeling like anyone was focused on just their job. They were all focused on making sure the patrons had what they needed. I was here on a Tuesday evening with my husband and 2 kids, 6 and 10. They don't print a kids menu but readily offer options of burgers, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, pasta with marinara, and pasta with butter and parmesan. My kids had mac and cheese and buttered pasta, which with homemade rigatoni noodles, we packed the leftovers. For cocktails, we had The Balcony is Closed, a delightful gin and lemon cocktail but the honey beer syrup balances it and the chili oil gives it a kick of a finish. I have gin cocktails wherever I go, and I've traveled and eaten far and wide. This is one of my top 3 most memorable gin drinks. We also tried The Assault Continues, smoky and earthy; not my favorite but for my smoky scotch loving husband, it hit the spot. Of course, we had to try the tuna nachos. I feel like so many restaurants try to do tuna nachos and it's been there, done that. But you haven't had THESE tuna nachos. They're spectacular. The ingredients on the menu speak for themselves but they finally got the ratio and presentation just right. It's a work of art. The caprese was also delicious, the stracciatella and pistachios playing nicely off each other. Dinners were rigatoni with short rib, and the halibut. The rigatoni was delicious. The halibut was out of this world. Perfect sear, perfectly cooked halibut in a corn cream sauce or nage, the summer succotash, fresh corn, crisp bacon, salty caviar. I really proverbially licked the plate with my fork. It was special and incredibly well executed. Not to mention the blueberry pie bar and carrot cake were also delicious. Both disappeared in a matter of seconds. We didn't have to fight for or pay through the nose for parking in downtown Bar Harbor for this wonderful dinner. Get the free parking in several lots in town. The city hall parking lot is directly behind the restaurant building. If you like to eat on a budget, this spot may not be for you, but if you enjoy great food and cocktails, I really think the prices are comparable to what you'd pay in other more populated areas. The food is a diamond in the rough.

Our entrees were a dish called Gnudi- which if you don't know what they are(we didn't and when we looked it up, it said it is similar to gnocchi- IT ISN'T!!!) ask before you order, if you've never had it, it's very unique and we didn't care for it at all... there was no recourse given by the restaurant... make sure you know what it is!! Our other entree was rigatoni that was topped with ricotta and short rib sauce, shredded cheese... it was tasty, but very pricey for a bowl of pasta... To make a reservation, you need to give a credit card and if you don't show up, your card is charged $25 per person. The service was friendly until we didn't like the Gnudi... then it was a little weird... It was fine, but not exceptional... Cold bottles of water are given to the table and refreshed as necessary.
