We finally found pizza that is just as good as what we used to get in Philly! The crust is neither too thick and bready like mist of the local shops and the rolls for the sandwiches are much better than than the pizza dough versions the other shops around here seem to favor. read more

I'm sad even writing this because I was soo excited to have Rock-it pizza again, after moving away many years ago. All morning I told my husband how excited I was for their fresh homemade "pizza shop" bread. You know, the kind that is like wide, the bottom is almost spongy, and you can see that it was freshly toasted in their oven? To our disappointment, it is just hoagie rolls from a bag, or maybe they're frozen and they bake them like Subway. Either way, they changed. Their subs WERE known for this and also for being loaded with meat. They have skimped on the meat as well . I was here in 2020, and the bread was still freshly homemade. Small businesses were swallowed by Covid and inflation, so I'm glad to see they managed to survive through that. But now that inflation is going down they should go back to the way things were, or drastically lower prices to reflect the new quality. read more

Value over flavor. Stick to the subs I've been going to rocket for 15 yrs. It was a good deal in 2005 and a better deal in 2019. Until recently I always got the cheese steak. The pizza has too much cheese and not enough sauce. The cheese is greasy, but a steal at $6.49 for a large. The large cheese steak and large Italian sub are enough to feed a family of 8. Either is a good choice, but you better be hungry. To-go beer is a nice add, but the dirty interior subtracts. Will eat again, but only a cheese steak or sub. read more

Desperate to find a pizza place that was open past 9pm in the area, my friends and I finally found Rock-It, which was open until 10pm. Score. Called in our orders and ran up the road to pick up as take-out. The patrons here were... colorful. Young twenty-something caucasians with an affinity for camo and day-glo, dressed in their coats and hats though they were sitting inside. Granted, it was by the door, but it was still an interesting visual. The space itself was... rustic. Nothing put into the decor, it was just, a place to eat. The bag of subs weighed about 10 lbs., which was exciting at 10pm, as we were starving and craving some unhealthy cheesy goodness. $44 for dinner for four, not bad a'tall, all things considered. The subs were just okay. My neice liked her tuna sub, it was a 'small' and it was plenty of food. My best friend's cheesesteak was good but soggy, the same as mine. His wife's chicken cheesesteak, about the same, though less soggy by her description. Basic cheap hole-in-the-wall pizza joint with good prices, decent food, and late hours. read more

Was starving got ,a tuna sub and the bread was stale tuna was OK. We decided to stop in a few weeks later got 2 tuna subs exact same order except one with onions one without toasted. The food was decent maybe a few years ago. It has been going downhill for awhile. The wings have been terrible for years. The pizza is probably a little less than average. Not sure if I can share pics but my wings had nasty fries at the bottom, barely any sauce, paid for ranch and bleu cheese and only got ranch, French fries were disgusting and clearly fried in very old oil! (Worked in food service), the ONE order of celery, as there should have been 2, were still covered in dirt and some were fresh and some were rotting and there was nasty black liquid around the rim of the wing container! My husband had gotten pizzas from rock-it, and we both had gotten food poisoning from it, I recommend not getting food from this place.

My hubs and I frequent rock-it, both to eat in but (more so) as takeout because the drink options (aside from the beer coolers) aren't the most stellar. People watching can be quite amusing while you're waiting for your food or chowing down. The subs and pizzas are well priced and ABSOLUTELY huge. There are very few things on the menu that aren't shareable sizes. I also love that they deliver to the local area and take advantage of this often for convenience and speed. I've never had issues with the food or options, but know that you're getting relatively unhealthy pizza shop food when you go into it. Don't bother with the salad or other options - if that's what you're in the mood for, this isn't the place for you. read more

The girl at the counter was very friendly, and patient as we looked over the menu (our first visit).I got the mini boil special for $6.99 it came with the "mini" boil and a small drink. I'd be interested in seeing the full sized boli because I couldn't even finish the mini. My husband got the Chicken cordon bleu sandwich, fries, and drink for $6.99. It was also a good size/value. i ordered a fucking grilled cheese off the kids menu and it took 40 minutes to make and there was 2 other people in there besides us.

If you get there and can't find anything to order, something is wrong! Everything is awesome and awesomely huge. The owners are very accommodating and ready to please. If you get there and the line is long to order, don't get discouraged the wait is worth it. We never travel to San Antonio, Texas without a specially packed sub for our family. We see Tracy and guaranteed the sandwich is as fresh as when we left Etters, Pa. They love it as much as we do. When you order fries expect a sharing amount that tastes every bit as good as you get on any Boardwalk. No complaints about the service either, beer has been added to the menu . I got a sub for pickup and did NOT leave a tip as I was already paying $15.25 for a turkey sub. The next day I noticed I was charge $18.25. I called and asked how much my exact order was, made sure the price included tax and they confirmed $15.25 was the total. The girl working the counter wrote in a $3.00 tip for herself I guess. After confirming the price I explained what happened and wanted to know what could be done and was hung up on. I called back multiple times and my call was not answered. They have great food but their customer service is terrible. I called in an order for pick up, got there and she handed me the bag. I quick counted the subs in the car to be sure they didn't miss anything however nothing was labeled. When I got home and opened the subs, there were 3 cheeseburger subs when I ordered 2 cheeseburger subs and 1 ham and cheese sub. I called and spoke to Jenna. I asked how we can resolve this and her answer was "well you can drive back and pick up the correct sub" which wasn't happening. It takes me 10 minutes to get there and 10 to get back- I'm not driving 20 minutes for a mistake they did. I asked if she could just comp me the price of the wrong sub or and she told me she didn't know how to. I asked to speak to her manager- she said he wouldn't be in until 4. So let me tell you how terrible this place is - I was told that I would have 2 large 1 topping pizzas sent right out to me and that there was another order going in the same direction. My house is on the same street, about 5 minutes away; a nice delivery for both the driver (given a $3 tip for 2 pizzas) and the restaurant (given their "delivery fee"). 1 hour later, we still had no pizzas, so I called. I heard EVERYTHING they said as the girl that answered the phone spoke with the other staff. One person said, "i dunno, I just got here". The other person said, "it's still sitting here. Just tell them that we only have one driver." I asked for the manager. She answered the phone with an aggravated tone and told me that the order was placed at 3:20PM, so it had only been an hour (I guess that is acceptable for them!) I told her to cancel it and hung up. Oh yeah, btw, when I called the first time, no one answered and I received a pre-recorded message about it being "Wacky Wednesday", listing a special that they had. It's Sunday. What should be clear to anyone reading this is that this establishment doesn't care about their customers or their business. Do you really trust them to prepare food for you? The best stromboli in the area. Be careful, the portions are quite generous. The Rock-it Boli is a winner, especially for carnivores. Good italian cold cuts (spicy cappicoli for example). My kids love the cheese steaks. They use pizza dough formed into rolls (a big part of the appeal) and the typical greasy chopped steak and cheese - it won't win any awards as heart healthy but will warm you up on a cold night. I like with grilled mushrooms and onions, others with pizza sauce, and my picky eaters ketchup only. Salad entries are quite big, but just average. Iceberg. I love cucumber, I asked for extra and imagine my surprise to find the salad covered in pickle slices! I know they start from cucumbers, guess it is a Central PA thing. Terrible! Antonio's was closed today (they are a true family business)....in any event we decided to order from Rocket. The food is terrible! How can the French fries be bad?!! I can tell you...they were like eating cold cardboard drenched in horrible oil. How can a chicken salad be bad....I'll tell you...the lettuce was wilted and limp, the croutons soft, the chicken strips tasted like they came out of the bags you buy at the grocery store, and the ranch dressing tasted like flavored milk. The sub was ok. But compared to the high quality ingredients and just overall great tasting food from A's...NEVER buying from Rocket again. I am literally burping up disgusting ranch dressing. Hidden gem! Let me start off by saying that I'm not a pizza or sub shop connoisseur. I like good food, and I usually leave those places disappointed. With that being said, I love Rock-It! They have the most delicious cheesesteaks and French fries. The large cheesesteak is huge and can easily be split between two people. The roll is soft and baked to perfection which makes it stand out from other places. The fries remind me of the ones from the boardwalk. They're greasy and delicious! Other members of my family have tried the pizza, boli, salads, and various subs, which also come highly recommended. In addition to the great food, Rock-It has awesome service. When my family went for lunch today, they had our meals ready in less than 10 minutes. All of our orders were correct. It's not that bad at all. There is better pizza joints in the area but some times this place has really good deals. Their cheesesteak pizza is pretty good. The subs are massive and good. I once ordered an Italian Sub. They sent me an American with the bread cut so one side was really thin and soggy and the other side was thick. I ordered lettuce tomato onion mayo and sweet peppers. It's been almost 10 years since I ate there. I was going to get an Italian sub but they were out of lunch meat. Got a cheeseburger sub; $11-12 dollars. It is large due to the oversized roll. The hamburgers were tough and the sub had no flavor; very bland. If they use this same roll on all their subs, I would stay away from ordering any of them; hot or cold.
