Located in the Ka Makana Ali'i mall, right next to Olino theaters, you find a place where you can let your kids roam free (well, to an extent) and play whatever games they desire....until the credits on their card runs out! They have booths and tv's set up in the front and along the left side so that the parents can just sit and relax watching whatever sport is on, while the kids tire themselves out on all the games they want. The food they serve here is basically burger and fries, along with your typical bar food. (kalua pig nachos, pizza...etc) My complaint about the food, is that it is a la carte. There is no burger and fries combo or anything like that, so ultimately, you are paying more. I once ordered the bacon and cheese tots and it definitely didn't match the price tag. I've been here multiple times, this is similar to Dave & busters where they allow drinking inside. They do have a bar and a restaurant area which is Johnny rockets. Game wise they do have new updated games but not much being the area is kind of small. Food I was a little disappointed paid almost $9 for a burger which McDonald's or jack in the box serves way cheaper and much bigger. They're shakes are awesome and tasty. The prizes are good for children's all ages and so are the games they have the new alien invader game and other cool new games they have for children and adults. The games are kind of pricey and to get a MVP card for cheaper game play you need to spend $1000 worth. I've been here a few times already to take my son to play games! Its like a fun factory with a Johnny Rockets inside! Like a D&Bs but smaller and more kid friendly. Games are fairly priced but they get you with some games that cost a bit much like the little kiddy merry go round is 10-11 credits! Sucks you in when you have a toddler haha. Staff is friendly and down to help and you get welcomed in most times by the Johnny Rocket's Host/Hostess. You do not have to eat in the restaurant to play games. Only thing i dont like is when you are reloading your cards, theres no signage of how much credits there are per money amount you spend on the machine kiosks. We could only find then on the menus at Johnny Rockets. So before eating there i was just loading my son's card without knowing how much credits were on it till we started playing games. You get bonus credits starting from $50. For the first time my boyfriend, my son, and I dined in and then played games after. Their happy hour is from 4pm-6pm in which we just missed coming in at 6:04 but good to know now lol. Their seating is located outside and inside on the left of the place running all the way to the back while all the games are on the right side. There is a bar area and a counter top area along with chairs and some booths. This was my first time eating here and it was soooo good! My boyfriend had a burger, I tried a soughdough sandwich and my son had the 2 mini burgers (with hawaiian king bread as buns) with friench fries. Kids meals come with a choice of drink and french fries or tater tots. Our meals, sides or a drink did not come with but you can add on for an additional $2-$3. My boyfriend and I found it cheaper to just add on the side by itself and shared it. We had the onion rings. The sandwiches were ALL juicy and fresh! I was not expecting this! It melted in your mouth with every "chew" and bite you took. My boyfriend loved the onion rings but to me they were okay. Similar concept as Dave and Busters where the arcade, restaurant, and bar are all together. There was a lot of open space. It almost seemed empty in some spots of the venue. I wonder if that's going to be the area(s) where birthday parties will be set up. There is a bar right in the center of the place, between the dining area and the arcade. I didn't try the food so I can't comment on that. My review is for the arcade. The arcade area is open, but the selection of games is smaller compared to any of the Fun Factories on the island. The games you find here are the same games you can find at Fun Factory, Dave and Busters, or Tilt. They have the same carousel that you can find at Fun Factory, but instead of it being one of the cheaper rides/games, it costs the same as a premium game at 10 credits. Also, all tickets that you win get loaded onto your card, eliminating paper tickets. The "cost" of prizes is the reason why I didn't give them 5 stars. The cheapest prize was for, I believe ,20 or 30 tickets. So, if your kid has 10 tickets, don't expect to get a dum dum and a jolly rancher. Also, I had 87 tickets on my card, but my son wanted the toy for 90 tickets. Unlike Chuck E Cheese, Shakey's, or Tilt, they wouldn't round up our points. I guess that's how it is since they have to scan the prize. I was going to get a card at one of the two load stations, but one of the attendants said it would be faster to load it at the register. After purchasing a card, I went to play a game and noticed there were 2 costs to play: the regular cost and the MVP cost, which is half a point less than the regular cost. It's similar to Fun Factory's Token and VIP card. I was never informed of the MVP card when purchasing my game card so I'm not sure what the minimum cost is to get one. I would bring my kid here again next time I come to Ka Makana Ali'i. I know it's only the first day they've been open to the public, but I hope they get some more games. read more

Don't expect to get a drink here. No bartender on the floor. I waited and still no service. Manager Jeff was extremely rude after I politely poked my head in the kitchen to ask for a bartender. He came to my family and I and scolded me for having to find someone. He was super condescending and hateful towards me in front of my family. I wouldn't have had to go literally SEARCHING for a staff member if anyone was on the floor. Worry about someone going behind the bar and making their own drinks instead of me going to find a staff member. The rudeness was not necessary. We came for an early dinner (5:30pm) on a Monday. It was fairly empty (2-3 other tables were full). We were seated promptly by the hostess and our server came over, introduced herself, then walked off. Several minutes later she came back and asked if we wanted water, then disappeared again. Fast forward another few minutes and she came back to take our order, sans any drinks. We ordered 3 milkshakes, kid sliders, black bean burger with a side salad, grilled cheese and a grilled chicken salad. The food came before our water. We had to ask 3 times for water and ended up going to the bar ourselves to get it. The food was disappointing. The black bean burger was dry and cold, both salads had old lettuce and the fries were hard. The check came and was incorrect - we were charged for an adult meal instead of a child's meal. This place is similar to fun factory but with fast food. The staff were friendly enough, but service was slow and poor. We live 5 minutes away, but will not return. We decided to stop by here the first time to past time before dinner since the wait for CPK was over an hour. Noticed a lot of claw games though it's very snugged in. The other games my son enjoyed playing. Second time we went we had an hour til our movie starts so we decided to go go rock n fun again but this time it was just my husband and I. We got there around 1030am and it was dead. We got greeted by a friendly staff and we loaded the card, played few games. Great place to past time before dinner or a movie. We came here for milkshakes but ended up ordering food too.. Their hot dog was really good. Hot dog could be more thicker but it was still good, their bread was unique because it was like a big piece of bread as if you had a cut a chunk of sweetbread loaf. Their milkshakes are good but it was something I could make at home. I ordered the strawberry Oreo malt, didn't know that they use strawberry Hershey brand syrup & we ordered malts but it was not even close to a malt, more like a shake. We weren't greeted when we walked in, the two people at the podium just kinda looked at us - not a good first impression. We were sat down in about 5 minutes. I honestly would not be coming back here. My experience here was far from amazing. So, it was a Sunday. My other half and I decided to take our boys out for the day. So we decided to go here. Honestly they weren't busy. So we said why not. We were greeted and seated right away but after that nothing. We looked over our menus for about 5 minutes and everyone pretty much knew what they wanted to order. So we closed our menus and waited. There were two waitresses behind the kitchen/bar area chatting away. They didn't even glance up at us. Then one of them walked to the end of the kitchen counter on the opposite side to speak to a guy who looked like he could've been a manager?! Idk. The other waitress went to the register and was going over receipts. (Our table is basically right in front of the register btw and again it wasnt crowded) So we waited patiently for one of them to address us. We figured they were both busy, so we just waited. We were now finished looking at our menus for about 16 minutes, when the waitress at the register glances up at us, smiles, then walks away to help the table behind us and the ones behind them. After helping them she goes back to the register to continue what she was doing. (It has now been over 20 min total since looking at our menus) Now at this time about 4 other waiters come walking into the kitchen area from the opposite side. Looks like they all just back from break together, but I'm just speculating. None of them greet us. As they poured into the kitchen a few of them went straight to the back area but you could hear and see them talking because you can see part of the kitchen from the dining area too. One of them went to talk to the girl at the register. He glanced at the dinning room area and was met by our looks of frustration and my other half waving him down saying can we order, we didn't order yet. He then said "Oh, do you guys want to order?" Umm...yes please. He came over took our order but kind of gave off this vibe like we interrupted his convo with the other waiter, so it really put me off, but I was still very polite. Anyway we order and my kids got something from the kids menu, my other half a burger and I just wanted to eat the loaded tatter tot side dish thing. He asked what everyone wanted to drink and we gave him our drink orders as well. After putting in our order, a couple came in wanting to eat in the dining area. The hostess was no where to be found so a waiter came out. The waiter asked the couple if they wanted to be seated and the couple said yes. The waiter told the couple to follow him into the dining area. Before seating them, he shouted to the rest of the waiters in the kitchen area if so and so's table was open and no one answered him. So he shouted even louder and was met with an idk. So he then told the couple to wait for the hostess. He went in the back asking where the hostess was, nobody seemed to know. So he waited behind the counter. After about 4 min he spotted the hostess walking towards the front and shouted to her that they've been waiting to be seated. Needless to say our drinks came out after our meals, our meals were cold and I didn't even get a glass of anything to drink. By that time I was over it and just wanted to have my kids play and leave. The food was okay, pretty much what I expected. Nothing spectacular, but wasn't bad. They don't have much games to choose from and the games are pretty costly. I don't feel like it was worth the money and from my own experience we won't be coming back. But from the looks of it, looks like other people enjoyed themselves. Came here for lunch after church and the food was great. I liked how our host and also server recommended us to sit at bar because their dining room was a bit crowded. We got drinks right away and our food didn't take long after that. I gave 2 stars because not once we were checked up on. Our got delivered, the lady who served us the food didn't ask if we didn't anything else. And then they grabbed out trays and still didn't ask anything. Customer service is key and they don't have that here sadly. I wished I could have tipped the kitchen staff instead because they were working so hard and also they were making sure the food weren't sitting there. Props to you kitchen staff! This is literally like a Teddy's Burgers meets Fun Factory. I chose Route 66 (Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and mushroom) with grilled chicken (which was $1 extra to substitute). The food came out relatively fast. The server was nice. However when it was time to check out, I found myself waiting for my server to cash out (she was busy trying to put an order in the POS, so I decided to just ask another server if I could check out with her instead). My chicken burger and a side of fries cost me about $12. So I thought that was kind of typical and similar to prices at Teddy's. Overall my food wasn't bad but it wasn't the best burger I've had either lol. Maybe I gotta try the other burgers to compare before I make a final decision about this place. Worst service EVER!! Went to just order take out. I was instructed by the hostess to go to the bar & someone would help me. I waited 20 minutes with multiple workers behind the counter NOT DOING ANYTHING!! Came to rock n fun this past weekend and I must say, it's a pretty cool place for adults and children. It's kind of like a Chuck E. Cheese or a Dave n busters. We got seated immediately, however it took a while for the waiter to come to us and order. I ended up walking to the cashier myself and ordered something because my child was hungry. The food was a little pricy. The food came out quickly. The burgers was alright but the shakes were amazing! While at the register I made a suggestion that rock n fun should offer a token type of incentive for purchasing food. Kind of like Dave and busters or Chuck E. Cheese. After we were done eating we loaded $40 on a card which went in a heart beat. Another suggestion is maybe have a free area, like a ball pit or a obstacle course for the smaller kids who really can't play games. We came here to celebrate my sons 4th birthday. I thought it was a good idea because the place has a little bit for everyone- games, burgers, beer and sports. Their birthday packages are also reasonable, $19.99 per kid for mini burgers/ chicken fingers, fries, and a milkshake, plus a $10 game card, so really the meal is $9.99 which is about right. Customer service is awful. Repeat AWFUL. I honestly should have known something was up when I went in to pay my deposit. The hostess that day was speaking rudely and rolling her eyes at the group in front of me who were waiting for a table. She kept telling them they couldn't sit where they wanted to go. I worked in restaurants growing up and I understand that there needs to be a rotation between sections. You can't just sit everyone in one section and put that server in the weeds. You gotta rotate around so the servers can do their jobs and the guests can be served in a timely manner. But there's a way to communicate this to your guests so that they can either choose to wait for their desired seat or get seated sooner in another section. This hostess did not do a good job of this. The party ended up getting pissed and walking out. When it was my turn the hostess looked at me as if I was a problem. I shrugged it off because I figured she was having a bad day. I told her I was there to pay a party deposit and she scolded me that I was supposed to go to the back counter to pay. Again, I figured she was having a bad day and walked to the back to pay my deposit. When I went to the back to pay, I asked the man helping me when the deadline was to give my final headcount since it was two weeks before our party and I hadn't received all our RSVPs yet. He said two days before the party should be good and that someone should call me to confirm the headcount IF they remembered to call. There was a woman working in the back with him and they both laughed. The day of our party, we arrived and the hostess from the other day was working again. It wasn't busy yet and was pretty empty. As we walked in she was stacking menus on her hostess stand and didn't even look up to acknowledge us. We were standing right in front of her when she finally looked at me and said, how can I help you. It wasn't a question, it was a statement. She didn't say hello or smile. She didn't make us feel welcome at all. I told her we were there for our party. She said we needed to wait because she wasn't told of any parties today and needed to talk to her manager. My face dropped. I couldn't believe what she said to me. She walked over to her manager and came back to us, grabbed some menus and told us "right his way." She put the the menus on the table and told us our server would with us shortly. Then walked away. She didn't once smile. I was still in shock that she didn't know our party was coming in, we had reserved for 24 people, you would normally know about a large party but since our table was already set up I let it go. This hostess needs to be retrained or get into a different line of work. There's absolutely nothing hospitable about her and she really makes a very bad first impression for guests. We sat at the table for a while before our server came. No staff came up to us to say happy birthday or tell us what was going on. I didn't know how we were supposed to get our prepaid games cards and so I went to the back counter to ask. The girl there wasn't very friendly but told me yes, she could give me my cards. Our server was nice enough but his service was lacking because he had too much going on. Even though the kids had a preset menu and they already had the headcount it took over 30 minutes for their food to come out. When it finally did, the burgers were dry, the fries were cool like they had been sitting out and the kids milk shakes were missing. I had to ask for the shakes and they didn't come out until over an hour and half after we sat down. It took even longer for the adults in our party to order. While our server was busy we asked another server if we could put in an order with her, she said "no you need to talk to your server" and walked away. I later asked this same woman for plates so we could sing happy birthday and serve our cake and she asked me "how many?" I told her about 20. She said no. Um, what? She said I can't do 20 I could probably do 10. We took what we could get. The birthday package says we were to have a party host. If that means our server is the party host then he didn't do that. You can't have the bartender work the bar and serve a party of 24. We were not a priority for any one who worked there. It's not like I expect the world, but geez! Some acknowledgement, a smile, a hello, some customer service. I'm really disappointed with this whole experience and we won't be coming back again. We live in ewa and our son loves arcades and games and we have point cards for almost all the arcades on the island. DnBs is one of our favorites because they offer food, bevarges, and adult-ish games as well but it's all the way in town and a heck of a drive away. We love this place because it's a 10 min drive from home, a bit smaller than DnBs but they serve food and drinks (alcoholic and non) and milkshakes! I recommend the Oreo milkshake, it's my fave! Now since they're smaller their selection of games obviously isn't as vast as DnBs but it's enough to keep the kids happy and occupied while the adults enjoy some drinks near by. & service was great, our server was nice and while we waited for our food we took turns playing games. It was great because by the time our food arrived my son wasn't being restless or trying to rush through his meal because he got to play a few games already. It's not a perfect 5 for me mostly because of how pricey the games can be. With $10 I think you get like 50 points and games seem to range from 6-12 points for non VIP members and of course the better games are in the 10-12 range so you get to play maybe 5 games with those points. I asked about VIP and they told us you have to spend $1000 to hit VIP status. Omg, I think I'd kill myself if I knew I spent that much money on arcade games yikes! Our waiter Terrance was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed everything and will be back again. Hubby and my brother got the double smokehouse, I had the jalapeño burger and my son had the bacon cheddar. My son ate almost all of his burger. The onion rings and bacon cheese fries were great too. My son loves to play the games here. This play is small, so they don't have many games to offer. The prize selection is minimal compared to other game places like Dave and Busters. I redeemed a few toys toys for my son, which most broke soon after we brought them home. They need better prizes, at least some high value prizes. They do have a game to where you can win a game system. I think it would be better to have those as a high value prize instead of in a game. They need to offer those better prizes like the X box, PS4 and Tablets that actually work. The previous tablet they offered was so cheap it broke after a few months. I do like that Johnny Rockets is connected to the game area. Burgers, milkshakes, and fries which is great! They also have a bar in the center for those who want to drink while the kids play. read more
