Experience was interesting for an establishment to say the least. We were directly walked up to and asked to throw away an outside drink. Could have been a reasonable interaction but the bartender, who we found out is the owner, came up to us said you can't bring a drink in here at all and hit the table with his fists. But did not go up to the others who had energy drinks, which weren't sold there... Another man got yelled out by the owner also for singing over him. Overall was a hostile and aggressive approach very unnecessary. I started coming here when I turned 21. I've seen this place busy on a Friday night and only three people in the whole building. I really enjoy the karaoke which is Tuesday through Thursday. This place is what you make it. Service and drinks here are amazing. I love the staff here and the band always rocks it. They even have line dancing on Fridays, and the game is always playing on the t.v's on Sundays and Mondays. I totally recommend this down home saloon. read more

I've been in several times now and always find it to be a welcoming environment. It's a small town and there are a lot of regulars, so it already feels like the old TV show where "everyone knows your name." there's a big stage right near the front entrance and a quality band plays rock and country covers, along with some originals and the occasional vocal cameo from Jeff himself. Everyone on that stage has some immense talent. Even better, there is rarely a song that goes by that doesn't bring everyone to the dance floor. Ample wood dance floor. Reasonable prices for drinks with a healthy pour relatively clean bathroom for a dive bar. Good music with great selection of danceable music. Pool tables away from dance area. Friendly people. Wish they would offer dance lessons before music starts. Having to walk through the smoking area to get in and out of the place is unpleasant. It would also be nice to have more variety of food options. First time there no food , second time if I had known they had a food stand outside before I arrived I would have given it a try. Will definitely go back. Wish their were more places in Clovis area to dance with a wood floor until that happens driving 45 mins is worth the drive. read more

First time I was there, there was a cover charge. That was fine. Got me a shot of crown royal with a glass of what I thought Coca-Cola. The bar rend Charged me $8.75. I was over charged $2.00 The bad part of all that, the coke taste nasty. I wouldn't recommend this place to no one until they get that coke machine fixed, fire that bar tender who over charged me. Jeff told me that drink should of been $6.75. Regardless, that's still too much money for an awful drink. Barmageddon sodas taste better. I wouldn't step foot back in that bar ever again. This bar was terrible! They let part of our party in, no problem then required ID for entry for the other half. One gentleman did not have his ID on him (we were a group celebrating a Bday in our 40's) and they refused to give the rest of our cover charges back even though we never entered. This is one of the few places that supports live music, and for that reason alone I would give it 5 stars. But on top of that, the club is beautifully designed, with a great stage and large dance floor. Jeff works hard to provide a fun and safe place to enjoy an evening with your spouse or friends, and everyone associated with the place is friendly and helpful. I have been here a few times with my sister and it seemed like a great spot. Until this past weekend when I went by myself. They are very expensive on their drinks, I was charged for a double shot, but I only had a shots worth and it cost me $14. At one point in the evening I started to feel a little woozy. I stepped outside to get some food and water at the taco truck that was right in front of the place. I was walking towards the truck and a man that was sitting down tripped me and I fell. Thankfully I was helped up, and I kept saying that I needed to check my blood sugar and my monitor was in my car, but the assumption was made that I was drunk. Now, here's a little bit of a lesson for you to keep in mind when dealing with a diabetic. If someone is a diabetic and they have very low blood sugar, it can have the appearance of being drunk. The same thing goes with super high blood sugar. Despite the fact that I kept asking for my monitor, not only was I prevented from being able to check my blood sugar, but the police were called and informed that I was drunk (NEVER was it mentioned that I was trying to tell people that I was a DIABETIC and needed to check my blood sugar), PLUS I had over $200 stolen from my wallet! I ended up being put in handcuffs just based on what was told to the police. No breathalyzer, no nothing. Nice way to treat a former patron with health issues. I'm extremely disappointed in the way that I was treated. If I could rate 0 stars or a negative 10 stars I gladly would. This is an appalling and disgusting way to treat anyone. Next time take the time to pay attention to what someone is saying and don't just assume that you know a situation. I do know that I will NEVER set foot in this place ever again. read more

Had to edit my review this place is stupid I almost got jumped by some ghetto people and what happened the bouncers kicked me out when I was in a corner while someone else blocked these crazy people. Rock N' Horse is pathetic and not to mention the lied about having our phones next morning I called as my GPS tracker stated the phones were there so dishonest and one phone was fried it's BS!!! I absolutely love this bar! The patrons here are very friendly, and beer prices are good! The inside is very well kept, so its not a dive bar, and the bathrooms are clean. They also have karaoke! The cons are, very little parking, location and only 2 pool tables.:( read more
