I placed a DoorDash order for a Chicken Fried Rice and decided to upgrade and also add shrimp for $4. So the total for this plate was $14.99. I was pretty disappointed in the portion of the shrimp and chicken provided. Under the Yum Yum sauce was VERY little chicken, I wish I would have taken a picture of that also. Additionally, when I order chicken fried rice or shrimp fried rice, I would have expected it to be all cooked into one cohesive entree. I don't mind mixing it up myself, it just wasn't what I was expecting. I almost would have preferred the 3 shrimp and chicken diced up and mixed in with the rice, at least then maybe it would seem like more. I'm not sure I would get fried rice again, there is a much better option just up the street. It's made fresh, with lots of meat and it costs less. Presentation needs some work: 1) smoked salmon on a lumpy, misshapen rice base did not look appetizing. I would gladly pay more for a thicker slice of fish and less rice, and 2) my salad was so flat, visually, that it didn't make me excited to taste it. The thin slices of fish on top compacted what was already a meager layer of lettuce below it. Summary: I ordered the Filet hibachi. Selecting the salad over soup. A Samurai Punch to drink. I went on Mother's Day so the crowd was small. Food: While the food presentation is nice, unfortunately it is no rising level to taste. 1-10 Ratings Drink: 9. I would give this a 10 if the price wasn't so high for the size you get. However, the taste is fantastic. I could taste each of the flavors added as the flavors dance in your mouth synchronized perfectly. The amount of rum used was also well balanced. The price was $10. However, if the price was $7 or so, I'd order a second drink. Salad - 4. Lacking taste and it's mostly just presentable. The dressing was too weak to enjoy. Also with being doused with sesame seeds, I spent more of my time dealing with tasting seeds rather than enjoying the salad as a whole. The salad itself was fresh and the presentation was good. I just felt it lacked the vibrant taste of ginger dressing. Filet Hibachi - 8. Luckily my fiancé also ordered Hibachi but he got the chicken so I was able to give it a taste test. My filet was medium rare which I feel was reached. The taste was enjoyably good though something is missing that I can't put my finger on. The chicken was also very nice and soft. I'm used to getting dry chicken at restaurants but was pleasantly surprised here you will get tender chicken. The vegetables had a clean taste that does NOT taste like dish rag. Some restaurants struggle with this issue when it comes to squash. Broccoli seems to have the right level of toughness. The fried rice was decent and moist so I was pleased that it wasn't dry. Also has a good taste to it that is enjoyable to finish. Mix it in with your hibachi flavoring and it'll hit the spot just right. Service - 6. Friendliness and kindness go a long way. But where this tends to halt for me is when my fiancé is consistently called "Dear," I will find this disrespectful especially if I am not equally called "Dear". Let's leave misogyny in the past and bring some equality to the dinner table so us women don't have to feel uncomfortable with the service and our discussions have to then be focused on our experience being awkward over just enjoying our visit. Ambience - 8. Dropped sushi rolls and sauce with some paper trash laying on the floor can give the first impression if the back on the kitchen is handled with the same standards. Someone later came by to take care of the floor mess though spills were left behind. The AC was cool on a hot day. Music selection fits the theme. Volume is higher than normal restaurant atmospheres. Lighting is impressive but subtle on the eyes. Deco is quite nice. Cleanliness lacks as our table had wet food laying around that I had to brush off. Overall I would rate my experience a 3. In the first place, this is a compromise rating. On the food and drinks, I'd probably give four stars. Given that I'm writing this review during an ongoing pandemic, however, I would give two stars because of the lack of protective measures taken by the restaurant for its guests and employees. To begin: the food. The restaurant's theme is in the name: there's classic rock playing in the background and flat screen TVs on the wall have the accompanying videos. The restaurant's specialty rolls are likewise named for various classic rock figures or songs (e.g., Cyndi Lauper, Kiss, Enter Sandman, etc.). Is it a bit gimmicky? Yes, but as a balding forty-four year old, I'm fond of classic rock. I did not order any of the specialty rolls and instead opted for a rainbow roll, which is a usual standby when I'm at a new sushi restaurant. The roll was above average, and the drink that I had to accompany it was likewise good. The cocktail I ordered was a jalapeño margarita, although the jalapeños were more of a garnish, and the drink was mostly just a margarita with mango (which was quite good, but I was expecting more jalapeño). So all told, food and drinks were above average. Okay, now for the less good. In the first place there is still a pandemic on, and although the staff made gestures at wearing masks, most of the staff usually had their masks down around their neck, in which case, why bother at all? Likewise, there was no attempt at distancing customer seating in the restaurant. I had planned on eating there because it had a patio (which means you can eat out with less risk), but the patio was closed. In addition to all that, the wait time for my roll was longer than I'm used to in a sushi restaurant. First, the sushi was pretty decent. Unfortunately my mother and wife's enjoyment was blinded by unyielding toddler-like rage. I purchased a chicken fried rice for $11 and it came with three cubes of chicken. When asked to confirm if this is standard, they confirmed it was because it's a side. Regardless, Hibachi Express 2 miles down the road has 2-3x the amount of chicken fried rice for the same price that taste as good or better. Pretty quaint place to go and stuff your face with sushi. True to the name, we went in and they were playing classic rock music while serving sushi. It's kind of a weird vibe, but the sushi is normally pretty solid. Don't expect to see any traditional stuff like the sushi being made in front of you. You order sushi and they bring it from the back. I ordered pretty conservatively and stuck with dishes that I am familiar with, and they were all solid. I might venture out next time and try some of their signature rolls. As far as COVID protocols go, this is Georgia, so it's hit or miss. Just had an amazing experience. We order two rolls and a child's teriyaki meal which was delayed in coming to our table. This is a solid sushi spot. I was apprehensive due to the reviews, but it was really good. The drink I had was decent, cheap, and pretty strong. The Thriller was definitely my favorite out of the two rolls. The Tommy Lee was a little too fishy for me due to the tuna in it. Not their fault, just a personal preference. I also got a side of fried rice which was good, that's hard to mess up lol. My friend got a really good drink that had a ton of different liquors in there. I can't remember what it was called, but when I come back I'm getting one. I didn't see anything wrong with the portion sizes or prices. Came here last night with my nephews and wife to celebrate my nephews starting school soon. Growing up a Rock n Roll head, the environment had me in awe with classic rock being the theme of the entire restaurant. It was fairly busy and the roll took a long time to make. The VIP roll was sub-par but the hibachi was excellent. Our server Gaven had a great sense of humor, was attentive and amazing with the little ones as well. I recommend ordering hibachi and fried rice, and staying away from the sushi. Overall, I'd give the food 3/5 stars, but the family friendly environment bumps it up to 4 stars. read more

Staffing is no joke right now, but Chelsea, 1 cook, and 1 sushi chef managed to keep up with a full house during lunch rush. It wasn't super quick but they were up front with us when we got there, and together they made it happen with every single table full, including our big group.
