    Sizzling Rice Soup
    Jenny L.

I never really set my expectations high for Chinese restaurants. I know I will be extremely disappointed if I do that. If a Chinese restaurant has the word sushi in their name, there's definitely something wrong and 100% not authentic. I ordered the sizzling rice soup (for two) , honey walnut shrimp, beef and broccoli, and since I did not see mapo tofu dish, I ordered the mandarin fried bean curd. Service: I ordered online for delivery and it said it would take up to 45 min for it to deliver, to my surprise it only took 20 so that was nice. Food: Soup - decent. Really light flavor. The fried rice did not produce the sizzle effect even after reheating the soup so that was a little disappointing since that's the highlight of the soup Honey walnut shrimp - the shrimp and walnut was drenched in sauce. I have never seen so much sauce on this dish before. It does not have the sweet glaze over the shrimp and walnut like it's supposed to be. It was also cooked with broccoli, which is not how it's traditionally cooked. Overall super disappointed. Mandarin fried bean curd - I absolutely love mapo tofu and I was sad to see it was not on the menu. I substituted the fried bean curd hoping it would be half as good but I was too hopeful. I did not enjoy the dish in the slightest. Beef with broccoli - it's hard to mess this dish up. There's only so many ingredients. Luckily, it tasted decent. Overall experience: Mediocre. I would not dream of coming back here. I only ordered food from here to get a taste of what locals deemed "good" Chinese food. This is definitely not even close to my standards of what Chinese food should taste like. Their menu is too spread out because they're trying to please everyone's cravings for Asian food. I believe they would be better off focusing on 1 type of Asian food and perfect that instead of having Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc. It honestly baffles me and literally makes no sense. Will not be coming back here if I'm ever in the mood for Asian food.

Nice find. Thought this was just your run of the mill small Chinese take out restuarant. Went inside it is actually two of the small store spaces made into a small sit down restuarant. The Food was excellent, some of the best tasting in the area. I will add this to my list of places to eat.

Wish this place was closer to our house so we could eat it more often! Portion sizes are good for the prices. Friendly staff. Both Japanese & Chinese dishes were delicious! Highly recommend.

Soft Shell Crab Tempura. I think fake crabmeat from you local grocery taste better than this. Paid $7.95, not worth it.

Stay away from this place, it doesn't even deserve a 1 star. I tried this place out last week since the other asian restaurants were closed and let me tell you: what a clusterfuck of a menu they have. +1 and I walked in, and we noticed all the employees were having lunch, they looked at us like we owe them money. The decor is seizure-inducing. I was so overwhelmed by the menu, but not in a good way; you get chinese, japanese and attempt at thai cuisine...all at the same time! Ordered food, wasn't impressed. I am a bit disappointed I couldn't try their green milk tea...it just never came, even though I ordered it.

    The regular sushi plate.

I ha the regular sushi plate... It was quite good. The miso soup was ok... The salas had a great Ginger based dressing. If given the choice I would recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing sushi, I always get spicy tuna roll so good compared to other places in town. Rock and roll spicy tuna is way too spicy.

The chef was pretty standard, but it was so fun watching my MIL get shocked and surprised every time he did something cool, like the flaming onion volcano tower. The food was cooked perfectly although there was a bit too much salt on our hibachi entrees. Half of our group ordered hibachi and the other half ordered sushi, so everyone left happy. I can't remember the name of our server, but he also spoke Japanese, and was the most fun server I've had in recent memory. Thank you, MeAkan, for the night to remember. The robot server immediately won us over--equal parts charming, efficient, and unintentionally hilarious. Then our human server arrived and somehow managed to out‑funny the robot, which is no small feat. His one‑of‑a‑kind humor absolutely stole the show and had us laughing between every bite. The hibachi chef? Pure perfection. A fantastic cook with the kind of showmanship that makes you wonder if hibachi school includes a minor in stand‑up comedy. Dinner and entertainment rolled into one sizzling performance. The ambiance is classic hibachi--Japanese‑themed, lively, and nicely done. Exactly what you hope for when you're in the mood for dinner with a side of impressive entertainment.

The fried rice was a bit bland and needed quite a bit of soy sauce and pepper. The scallops and the steak were actually perfectly cooked and was very tasty. The vegetables that came with the dinner that were sautéed were also a bit bland. I ordered the sushi roll and the octopus salad. The sushi roll was tasty, but the wasabi didn't have any kind of kick to it at all and I didn't get a soy dish so I just poured the soy sauce over each piece as I was eating it which actually saturated a bit much, but it was still good. The octopus salad was six tiny little thin livers of tuna on top of some big chunky sliced cucumbers, which were in a soy type sauce that did nothing for the dish all in all it filled me up, but it was nothing to Write home about and I'm not sure it was worth the $60. I paid not including the tip. The restaurant seemed somewhat clean, but you can tell it's been there for a long time and the service was fast, but the friendliness seemed a bit forced. I know that if I really like a restaurant, I go back frequently because I eat out a lot and not having been there in a while should've told me it wasn't the greatest, but I don't remember anything really bad so every now and then I'll try it again. Oh, and they still had some Christmas decoration that were lit up out from however long ago last year or what which tells me they're not too much into working at keeping everything in order. Lol I'll let you know if anything changes and when I have another experience worth writing about at this particular restaurant.
