I did use them in between for tree/installation, re-gravel a couple times, etc. A few weeks ago, I texted Jose about yard trimming/cleanup of 2 vacant properties. On June 6, he texted back that "next day available would be June 16 if that works?" YES, fine. June 16 rolls around, I contact them the next day for invoice, etc. He calls me to ask if I could meet "his guy" at one property on Thursday. Turns out "his guy" is his father, Miguel. So I go over all the trimming, send him photos (again) of both properties. Jose tells me "we will take care of this Fri or Sat" fine. Saturday I text Jose and Miguel for an update....then NOTHING, no replies, no calls, total GHOST TREATMENT to their client! I found out from the other Landscaper who I called on Monday, and they finished BOTH properties the next day by 11am - and did a fantastic job (Heavenly Touch Landscaping) that Guerrero Landscaping now mainly does COMMERCIAL work, HOA common areas, etc. UGH, why didn't they just TELL me this up front?! They left me hanging for nearly 3 WEEKS! Fair warning...

We recently had them replace our grass with artificial grass, remove a tree, refresh our rock, and build a new walk up and fire pit/entertainment area. They did an amazing job. They were proficient, on time, fairly priced, and professional. I have recommended many friends and neighbors, and they have all sung this company's praises. I would suggest calling to set up a quote in advance and being patient. They are extremely busy right now, which speaks volumes to their work. It will definitely be worth the wait.

During installation Day, I raised concerns about my slabs having a brownish tint instead of the clean white Carrara Breeze shown on Arizona Tile's website. Daniel (who had now become my new point of contact) told me that "all Carrara Breeze slabs are different" and that I basically needed to accept what I got. The message was clear: my complaints didn't matter, and I should stop questioning the product. Then came the pricing shock. I later found out from a reliable source that their sale price for Carrara Breeze is around $650 per slab, yet I was charged $2,865 per slab. That's an extreme markup, and at no point was I given transparent pricing or honest guidance. As a woman navigating this process alone, I felt taken advantage of at every turn. The tone shifted the moment payment was made -- suddenly every question was met with defensiveness, blame, or references to "paperwork" instead of actual customer service. When he finally came out to inspect it, he told me his crew would not return because the work was no longer under warranty, the repair was "too small," and the concrete--not their workmanship--was the problem. He also said his crew would rather redo the entire area than repair the damaged section because the colors might not match, and suggested I hire another company to fix it. When I explained that I believed they should stand behind their work, Michael became argumentative. He told me he didn't have to repair it because it was outside the warranty and that his company doesn't do touch-up work. Instead of repairing the small section, the company recommended redoing the entire deck so everything would match. For the first six months, everything appeared fine. Then the problems began. Within six months, multiple areas of the deck started bubbling, cracking, and chipping anytime the surface got wet. I contacted Altra, and they came out to "spot fix" the areas. Their repair was so thin you could see the bare concrete underneath, and it began chipping almost immediately. It took another month to get them back out, and their next "fix" was simply applying a thick layer of paint and coating over everything -- including debris on the deck -- and even painting our umbrella hole cover shut. That repair lasted about a year before the same issues returned. By June 2025, four different sections needed repairs. For nearly two months, Altra gave me the runaround. The owner, Michael, eventually called and said he would personally inspect the job because he believed it wasn't done correctly the first time. He explained that the job should have taken two days -- one for prep and sealing, and one for applying the cool deck. This process was never done. Despite promising to inspect the deck, Michael never showed. When we spoke again, he began blaming us, claiming our concrete was "bad." They then failed to show up for the scheduled repair and stopped answering calls. Two weeks later, they finally came out and once again scraped off the failing coating and applied another layer -- the same ineffective spot repair as before. Now, as of January 2026, the deck is worse than ever. Large portions are bubbling, chipping, and "crunching" underfoot. I emailed Michael directly to discuss a permanent solution.
