I had so much fun shopping at Rocket a Go-Go! I was in search of an outfit for a swing dance performance and the amazing team at Rocket got me fully styled from head to toe! The two owners are passionate about what they do and the sales associates were genuinely sweet and helpful. The store was very busy but they managed to greet everyone upon entering and hustled to help. I will be back for sure! There is a huge selection of new and pre-loved items including accessories, handbags, shoes and of course racks and racks of amazing clothing. The store is beautifully merchandised and organized making it easy to shop. I'll post pics of my new items which include two dresses, a gorgeous fluffy petticoat, earrings, necklace and pink rhinestone retro sunglasses! Recently, I suddenly came to the realization that fashion could be a statement, an outlet, an artform, so I begged my friend I looked up to most regarding fashion sense to teach me some lessons. I pleaded her to help me be brave and branch out more, all while trying to stay thrifty to save my bank account. With all this in mind, Rocket A Go-Go was the first place we went and I knew as we walked through their doors it was the start of a beautiful relationshop...i mean ship. I found everything I needed, we didn't need to go to another store. This women-owned and operated shop seemed to be glowing. The goth punk vibes were strong, as were the bright pin-up prints that hung on almost every rack. There were so many textures that I wasn't shy to touch. This spot celebrates it's aim for alternative clothing and inclusivity of all people, of all shapes and sizes. The website features a buzzfeed video proving it's a plus-size friendly shop: can confirm- there were many racks of multiple sizes above Large and XLarge, but I am a S-M and spent 2 hours without being able to see it all. If you are looking for something sweet and classic, or pin-up sexy, or punk-alternative this is the spot to check out. Prices range mostly from under $10-$50ish for clothing items. If you feel like you turned into the wrong plaza and it feels a bit rundown you are in the right spot. Also right next to a record shop that I hear is pretty nifty. read more

What a unique shop. I dropped by on my most recent trip to Arizona to visit my family. The place was highly recommended by a fellow vintage enthusiast. The shop is fairly large with a wide selection of jewelry, clothing, handbags, and other accessories. The clothing is neatly organized according to size---and they have a lot to choose from for every size. Much of the merchandise is in excellent used condition, though I believe there are some new items as well. The prices are quite reasonable. The employees are super friendly and helpful. This is one of my absolute favorite stores in Phoenix. I always end of coming here when I need a dress for any occasion and not once have I walked out empty handed. I love the fact that they have both second hand items and items specially bought for the store, it makes finding unique items a breeze They also are very size and shape inclusive. I often have trouble finding dresses that aren't huge at my waist and too small or revealing at the bust. Best of all, the clothes are really unique but also incredibly wearable! I never fair to get compliments when I wear anything I buy here. The staff and the owners are all wonderful as well. They have offered to help me find a dress for an occasion based on what they thought might work, which was lovely, but, they are also hands off if you prefer to just browse. read more

This place is super cute! I love the variety, but the art is my favorite part. You get your usual rockabilly ware, which I'm not a huge fan of, but you get a very metal selection as well, which is also vintage! The skulls, the monsters... the black! The prices are pretty good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars here is that some new items are priced quite high. I know some items might be consignment (seller chooses price), so I kind of get it.
