This is the best coffee place in the valley. I have been coming here for years and their drinks and snacks never fail to impress.

    Pastrami sandwich and rhubarb torte

Came here with a girlfriend to catch up a little bit after our work out. Parking lot was easy, it wasn't crowded inside, and they weren't super strict on their mask policy, which I like. We shared a breakfast sandwich and a rhubarb torte. The pastrami sandwich was amazing... How come I haven't appreciate a pastrami for this long? The rhubarb tart was good not a huge fan of whatever the sweeter stuff on the bottom was, was looking for more of a sour pie but still delicious. We sat there forA couple of hours and chatted over our coffee. It was clean nice little spot to sit at. Lots of people on computers looking like they're doing homework at work. Tables were spaced not too close together so that those fearing the Oh so dangerous Covid still felt safe. I went home with a couple of cookies that I was very satisfied with. They were all huge. If I'm in the area will definitely be a place I stop out again

My favorite spot in Spokane. And let me tell you, there aren't that many great places in Spokane. The atmosphere is cozy, good service, free wifi, and they don't play loud music like Starbucks so you can actually do some good studying in here. I love their chocolate cakes ($4 of slice) and their quiche. Oh and their non-fat hot chocolate tastes so much better than the ones from Starbucks.

I am in love with their white chocolate iced mocha. It's got great coffee flavor. The whole grain blueberry scone is a must try!

Everyone enjoyed their food and the place itself reminds me of a cottage vibe. The service was good and we waited in line for awhile and I knew it wouldn't be fair to take a star for that because we realized it's not because they are taking awhile... the customers take a long time! I get it. Not easy to make decisions:) try it out here!

I got everything on top of a cheddar Jalapeno bagel with scallion cream cheese. This came with avocado, sprouts, pickled red onions, and tomatoes. This was delicious but I wish the bagel itself had more jalapeno flavor. It had great texture which I was pleased with and the sandwich itself was a decent size but a little steep at $15. Next time I might pass on the pickled red onions as they were a little strong and took away from some of the other milder ingredients. My husband got the breakfast bagel which came with sausage egg and cheese on a Jalapeno bagel with scallion cream cheese. He thought everything was delicious and meld perfectly but he thought the bagel itself lacked jalapeno flavor too. I think the cheddar on the outside was the strongest flavor. His Bagel came in at $12.00

A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.
