Rocket smog Fred was pretty fast and for me good thing he was pretty slow traffic wise. With this Covid-19 stuff business can be a little slower than normal and for me the day I went was ideal. I called the night before and he was cool enough to give me $10.00 off the actual cost of the smog itself including the state certificate. Been here before and I can say that he's a good dude. I failed a smog test here yesterday after a snap test produced smoke.My car has never failed a smog test for any reason and I could not duplicate the smoke performing the exact test from BAR immediately after leaving.I honestly believe the technician tampered with something to cause the smoke so I would return and pay more money.I use to come here years ago and never had any problems but I will not be returning as a customer because I do not trust them. read more

I am not happy with the service they provided; i was told that they couldn't do the test because they couldn't read the monitor;previously i had the battery replaced and they told me that i needed to run the car 50 to 100 miles and the charge me;but they never told me i have to pay an extra $30 for a re-test on top of what i already paid the forst time.the second time i went there they quickly told i can see the reading now and took it for the test which the car pass without any issues.i feel that this was unfear and that i didn't have to pay any fee for a re-test.I do not recomend this bussiness to anybody.Too bad i had other cars and i will take it somewhere else. read more

In 14 years in California, I think I had all but maybe one of my smog checks done here, most recently today. They are fast, courteous and efficient. It is also a "Star Station" if your renewal says you need to go to that type of station. I think it's a more comprehensive inspection for older cars such as my own. They have a rest room and comfortable place to wait both indoors and out. Check their website before you go, I found a $5 off coupon therein. read more

They could care less about their customers. I drove up at 4:25pm and was greeted by this indifferent employee that told me they decided to close early and there was nothing he could do about it. Their hours were clearly posted behind him and said they close at 5pm. The owner then came out and when I told him the same thing he attitude and response were "yeah, yeah, yeah" with the hand up in the air like "f*&^ off" Now, I know it's a smog check place and my expectations should be low, but come on now. Close when you say you're gonna close, or at least apologize and don't tell your customers to screw off. ZERO STARS. read more

Overall, the experience was great and I would be back! They have a $5 off coupon on their website so the total cost of my smog check was $45 for my type of car. Came on a Thursday, just before 4pm and there was no wait. I was greeted and directed where to park. There was enough space on their lot to park about 4 sedans. No longer 5 stars, been here several times in recent months, they didn't tell me that I only had 60 days for free retest, but relented after a moment and restested free. :) Location is great, right across from DMV, and price is always really low. Great for people that don't need any repairs on their cars / cars that are relatively new. Easy to find coupon on their site. Would be five stars if they helped me actually diagnose my issues.
