    Grouper Tacos

This was right across the street from our hotel so on the first day we decided to give it a try; and I'm glad we did. The Grilled Shrimp Tacos were good but the Fried Grouper Tacos were fabulous! I would go again. We went at lunch and there was no wait but at night there is live music and it's a big party every night!

Ah, Rock House Live, the place where dreams are made and vocal cords are shattered. This bar is our go-to spot for post-dinner drinks when we're in the Clearwater Area. It's an entertainment-driven/theme bar that's sure to have you singing (or screaming) your heart out. We stumbled in on a Thursday evening and were blessed with the sweet sounds of karaoke. Let me tell you, the skill level was all over the place. We had a cat meowing violently, nails scratching on a chalkboard, and some people who were actually pretty good - they should probably try out for American Idol or something. Now, I must confess, I have a not-so-hidden, now "supposedly" hidden talent for singing. That's right, I did it. I sang karaoke. Not once, not twice, but three times that night. Admittedly, it took a cocktail or two to get me up there, but once I started, I couldn't stop. After taking the mic into my own hands and singing my heart out to Inrid Andress's More Hearts Than Mine, I figured why stop there? So, I propped up the karaoke DJ like an old friend and we launched into one of our all time favorites, Pink's Just Give Me A Reason. The crowd was loving it - or maybe they were just being polite. Either way, I felt like a rockstar. On the weekends, they usually have bands that are awesome to hear to perform. The staff is lively and downright fun. They may not have a huge selection of beers on tap, but they have all the classic mixed drinks. I can't speak to the food because we haven't actually eaten here, but if you're looking for a night to remember (or forget, depending on how many cocktails you have), Rock House Live is the place to be. Grab a mic, order a drink, and get ready to entertain the masses - or at least the people sitting at the bar. Cheers!

Amazing!!!! I love this place!! Alex behind the bar is an absolute smoke show and has a personality to match. Corey (manager) was more than willing to answer all my questions about the calamari lol! Get the rockin FROSE. You will not be disappointed! Come here! It's awesome!!! Side note- fingers crossed my car doesn't get towed ‍

Best Alligator Bites I have ever had. Service was good and the DJ started up while we were eating. The music he was playing was a bit off for my taste but he was certainly good at his job. As for the food like I mentioned the Gator Bites I had were great and the Fish Tacos my wife had looked amazing. After seeing her plate I almost wished I had ordered them instead. Our server did a great job and made sure we had everything we needed and didn't run out of anything! I would certainly eat hear again. Only thing that may stop me is the music.

Just happened upon this place walking back to our hotel. What caught my eye was that they had a live band playing and a sign that said best burger on the beach. Unfortunately no one in my party ordered a burger but the band was amazing. They sang a lot of older r and b songs which I love. The crowd was really into it and dancing. Felt like I was at a concert. I had the grouper sandwich grilled with tots. My daughter had the mozzarella sticks and her dad got the pulled pork nachos. The nachos were honestly enough for the whole table. The mozzarella sticks were good but not enough for $12. My sandwich was fine. The service was good but took a while to get drinks. And a shot of tequila was$15 which is ridiculous. It was family friendly good food and vibe. I would go back for sure but wouldn't want to spend $100 so would choose things more wiser.

Great band but they allow people to smoke in their outside bar that blows right into their inside bar. So if you like your cosmos (with a lemon ) and cigarette smoke, then this is the place for you

I've been here for two shows this spring and I absolutely love it! This venue is run by Ruth Eckerd…read moreHall and they do a great job. It is easy to purchase tickets on their website, easy to enter and easy to find your seat (if you have a seat.) If you don't have a seat, the lawn area is not too huge so you wouldn't be too far away. They have plenty of bars and booths to get other beverages. I didn't have to wait behind more than 2 people any time I got a drink. The bathrooms are inside and air-conditioned and the line moves pretty quick because the stalls in the ladies room has signs so you can see what ones are open. I do think they could still have used a few more ladies stalls because as you see everywhere, there is a line for the women but not the men. Another cool thing is they have several food trucks and even ice cream vendors. I visited the keilbasa truck before one show and it was good. The food from the other vendors looked good too. I actually had food from the chicken and waffle truck before when tbey were at my nearby library so I know their food is good too. The one downside is that it is in downtown Clearwater and parking is spread out. However, if you are willing to walk you can find free or affordable parking. I personally would rather spend my money on a drink than parking so I look for deals and am not sharing my secrets. Also, downtown Clearwater only has like 3 restaurants nearby so that's why it is important to have good food trucks at the venue. I will definitely be going to more shows here! It is so much nicer than it was before. The whole park is nice.

The ladies room had 6 or 7 stalls, and it seemed as if all of us women were able to use the facilities and return to our seats in the time allotted for the intermission. We started with 3 orders of grilled oysters, 3 for $5 is still a great deal. The cajun seasoning and cheese on top made them incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. They were so good we basically decided to order a second batch the moment we finished the first. We also got the fried Brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was delicious with the sweet and sour sauce, and the brussel sprouts were just pure yum. We were so into the appetizers that we almost skipped entrees, but decided to share a shrimp po'boy. The shrimp was perfectly crispy, exactly what we were looking for. Overall, great location, great food, friendly staff, fast service, and happy hour makes it all that much better. Will happily return and recommend!

Salty's Review…read more Stopped in for lunch shortly after arriving in Clearwater since we were hungry and it was conveniently located right across the street from the Opal Sands Resort. When we arrived, the hostess initially tried to seat us in direct sunlight even though there were several shaded tables available. I asked if we could sit in the shade instead, and she happily accommodated us. Our waitress appeared to be the only server working, yet she did an excellent job keeping up with all of her tables. She was attentive, friendly, and provided great service throughout our meal. We started with the coconut shrimp, which were perfectly crispy and delicious. The only odd thing was that they were served on a bed of rice, which didn't really make sense with the dish. We also ordered the grouper po' boy, and it was huge with well-seasoned, flavorful fish. The crab cakes, however, were a disappointment. They were heavily seasoned with Old Bay to the point that it overpowered the crab. I actually had to scrape off the top layer of seasoning just to enjoy them. For drinks, I ordered an IPA, and we also tried the Strawberry Smash that our waitress recommended. Unfortunately, the cocktail was the weakest part of the meal. It tasted more like club soda with muddled strawberries and mint than an actual mixed drink, and it was surprisingly difficult to drink through the straw. Overall, Salty's is a solid spot if you're looking for a casual meal that's convenient and satisfying. The service was excellent, and a couple of the food items really stood out, but nothing we ordered was memorable enough that I'd go out of my way to come back. I'd recommend it for a quick bite, just don't expect to be blown away.

On the positive side, parking was readily available, and the hostess team was very polite and gracious. However, we encountered several issues during our visit: - The Table: We were seated at a very wobbly table and had to use napkins to stabilize it ourselves. - The Service: Our waitress was quite slow. Additionally, when explaining the drink options, she explicitly advised us against ordering the Navy Grog on the list, stating that it tasted like ship water. - The Drinks: Based on the celebration, we decided to split the "South Seas Pearl." We found the drink to be overwhelming, and given the premium price tag, we expected the quality to better match the cost.
