I tipped $15... it said that equated to 15% (which is actually over 20% of $70). The total should've been $85, but it then rang up as $89! That is super shady!!!! If you don't check your tabs, don't know how to calculate percentages properly, or even if you're like me and don't want to complain about a $4 difference, they are essentially getting over on you! How many people does this happen to? Imagine if every customer was overcharged an average of $5?!?!?! But... let me back up to the appetizer. We got crab claws. We settled on the Calzone Genovese, even though this was a calzone there was no problem making it into a pizza. The wood fire pizza oven was in the center of the restaurant, so we were able to watch them make our pizza. It had ricotta cheese, mushrooms, pesto, and caramelized onions. It was very good and a nice change from a pizza with classic red sauce. The pizza crust had a good amount of char on the bottom with just the right amount of thickness. I would recommend Mimmo's to anyone and will definitely return if I am ever back in Destin.
