Honestly other than maybe one or two spots these are the best seafood boils in the city. The house seasoning they have is a combo of all their other seasonings- Cajun, garlic, butter, etc. I honestly preferred mild vs medium because I felt like the medium was basically just the same thing with more of a hot sauce flavor. You can pick a combo but I always build by own with extra prices. This place is not cheap!! But it's also not overpriced either. They have a bar & pool table as well. Be prepared to get messy because you will not want to stop eating. They do not skimp you on the extras which I love. Compared to Mr & ms crab which is their main competitor I would choose rocking crab every time. Do not let the run down outside appearance fool you, this is a very solid spot. The parking lot is always full here, but it's huge inside so there's probably room for your party to sit. The setup is the typical crab/seafood boil in a bag that they deliver to your table. They also have some fried options and simple bites for kids. There's a full bar in there too so you can have whatever kind of time you want to have. The food is pretty good, I've never had an issue with my crab boil. I usually get the sauce that combines all the seasoning options in the mild version. I had the fried shrimp once and they were SO good and. The outside had the perfect crunch and the shrimp was cooked really well. However, I could only eat a few of them because the greasiness turned my stomach after a while. I'm giving it five stars because of the experience. The music is uncensored and way too loud. While many folks do take their kids, I would prefer not to take mine because of the ambiance that is set by the music. The service also leaves a little to be desired. Would I go back? Yes. While the outside looks like a hole in a wall the inside is very inviting. The bathrooms could use a face lift but the rest of the facility looked refreshed. The waitress did a good job handling our large party. I tried to get some assistance from the bartender on staff around Saturday at 1 p.m. He seemed kind of annoyed with my requests. Maybe he was having a bad day. I had the catfish basket! It was hot and delicious and came with 4 filets. You could totally split it with someone. My son had the nuggets and fries which he enjoyed. We had to wait for a bit because tenders were brought out in error first, but nuggets came out quickly once we brought it to our server's attention. All in all it was OK. On Saturday night, I met friends for dinner. It was around 6, not many people and we were seated immediately. From the beginning our service was sub par because it seemed as if the server was brand new but that we could live with. We ordered drinks, took a few visits back to the table for our server to get it right. Our friend joined us about 10 minutes after we were seated and we all ordered. Food came out before her drink arrived, okay can live with that. But when the food came out- I saw two fully stuff bags and one looking like an over air filled bag of Lay's chips. I was like, self, where are the legs????? How can I order the legs special and not see any???? I stopped the waiter before he took off and asked where the crab legs were. He looked and looked, couldn't answer, then got a manager. The manager came over and I explained that there were no legs with my meal. He said open the bag and look at the bottom. I was not in the mood to play look for Waldo- which was easier than finding crab legs!!! There, hidden under two potatoes and two inedible ears of corn were some anorexic looking legs with one leg missing from the cluster. I told the manager that this was unacceptable, he walked away.
