Suffice it to say I had plate envy! My friend ordered the Savory Brie appetizer which looked amazing. I had the Ahi Tuna on a bed of spring mix, fresh & thinly slice cucumber & carrots, diced shallots/red onion & topped with a spicy ginger dressing which was delicious. We went on a Sunday morning during one of the Corey Avenue markets. We were able to get a seat outside right in front of the market and it was a lot of fun! Our server was busy and was still great! Very friendly staff. Both wraps were yummy and the cole slaw was perfect! Would definitely recommend one person getting the fries and the other getting the cole slaw as a side. read more

We also got the chicken quesadilla with the lime aioli sauce that comes with it. This quesadilla was good quality, the sauce really elevated it. Service: service was good. Our waiter was super nice. We have eaten at Chill two years in a row. Each time there was live music and just a super vibe. The service is top notch and only out done by the delicious food. We're long time customers of Chill... but something has changed. We went this evening... the food was mediocre at best. The chicken on my salad was tough and tasteless. My wife's shrimp and grits... she didn't even eat it. She said you couldn't find the shrimp... the grits were almost nonexistent and she never found the sausage. The whole dish was swimming in sauce. Way too much! Even the chips in the chips and salsa were stale. Sad... we like this place. To their credit we were not charged for the shrimp/grits but it still put a damper on the evening. In addition, the band was quite loud. And we generally like louder music. Oh well... maybe in the fall when we're back they will have improved. read more

Have read a lot about the place so thought we would go check it out. We went on a Friday night and it was moderately busy. They must be going through a renovation as it looked in disarray although there were no signage to indicate they were doing something. Started with an appetizer at the bar. After quite a bit of time it finally came out. The spinach dip came in an incredibly small bowl that looked like something you would have in your kitchen cabinet. Taste was mediocre at best. There were two bartenders working the bar but it took forever to get recognized and get refills on drinks. After a lot of frustration, we just left before even trying dinner. It was a Sunday and it was a time to have a Brunch. Being new to the area we decided to try something we had not tried before. We had walked by Chill restaurant & Bar before. It always had a nice crowd. But today we decided to give it a try. Good thing we did. Because in half an hour there was a line to get a spot. We just made it in time. We took a table outside in the morning sun. There was a crowd at the marketplace as we sat down and looked at the menu. Emily who waited on us was very kind. She answered all our questions and made suggestions. I always ask them what they would eat if they came here. She told me her favorites and that is what I decided. It is a good way to start when the waitress tells you what she would eat. A recommendation. We decided to keep it simple today. There is a good variety to choose from. We went for items we wanted to try. First was the CREPE with Brie and Ham. It was topped with a Hollandaise Sauce. The side dish was of fresh fried potatoes. This was excellent. You received two crepes that were freshly made. The flavor and the taste were ideal. It was filled with the brie and ham. Excellent. The spice and each bite you took were ideal. It has been a long time since we had this. The crepe was as they make it in Paris. We did like this. Next we had good old Shrimp & Grits. This was the style cooked here in St. Pete Beach. If you have it in the Carolinas or Memphis it is different. Each area creates their own version. This dish was a combination of shrimps over a bowl of rice that was topped with a semi-spicy tomato sauce. There was even a sausage that was sliced and placed within the combination. And it is even topped with a fied egg that is over easy. Perfect. As for the shrimp, there had to be at least 12 shrimps or even more. Every bite had at least one. It was perfect. A good combination of items that was ideal with each bite you took. We kept this simple with glasses of ice tea. Even this was freshly made and had a good taste. This was not out of a container but fresh. A great item to have with each bite you took. We were glad we were her. Emily was very helpful. We agreed we had to come back for dinner and decide what we wanted. We already saw the menu. Thanks. read more
