We have been using Rockingham Oil for 6 years and we are very happy with the service they provide to us. They have competitive prices, usually deliver the next day after calling in an order, and keep our furnace running great with yearly cleanings. Last spring, we were having issues with the furnace breaker flipping and I called Deb. She checked with Bob, he said it sounded like an issue with the electrical panel, but he would come out to look. He found everything with the furnace to be in good working order and didn't even charge us for the call. It did turn out to be an issue with the panel, but it is nice to know they will go that extra mile to help their customers. We moved to Derry in August. Got the oil in July from rocking ham oil. The lady on the phone was rude but we still went ahead with the company. We got serviced by Rockingham Oil on December 5th, 2018. When I called this morning because we woke up with no heat and my kids are freezing, I got the worst attitude because I hadn't gotten oil since July. We had been gone for a while and didn't use our oil. "You haven't gotten oil since last winter" is what she told me. No I haven't ... it is still the same winter lady it has only been 2019 for a few weeks...... but if you can service me on December 5th how am I no longer a customer? read more

I have been with Rockingham Oil since moving here 5 years ago. In those five years they have always been so helpful when needed. I have struggled with finacial issues and boiler issues through the years. However, Bob and his son Charlie are always pleasant and knowledgable regarding boilers and oil heat. They have offered me many options through the year to keep my home heated and my kids warm. Even if the problem may take a few times to fully fix. They always come back with a smile on their face and friendly attitude. They always answer all my crazy questions without annoyance. Switched to Rockingham Oil after the whole Fred Fuller disaster their service has been great up to now!! Called a month ago to get my furnace tuned up... Ok well, they were supposed to be at my house @ 9.30 am... They are a no show!! Called the company at 11.00 and got an answering machine. It's now 12.30 and still have not heard from them and no one has showed up!!!! Smells a little Fred Fullerish to me!!! Being held up by Rockingham Oil!!!! Not happy!!! read more

I have had Rockingham Oil for ten years or so now. I always get excellent service and I even had a new whole system installed last Fall. It is wonderful and it was done with consideration of my house and in a timely manner. I have clean out's every year with no problem at all. I couldn't be happier with the service and performance. Yet another hell experience from this dreadful company. My sister ran out of oil the weekend of Christmas. The Saturday before Christmas, December 23rd to be exact. Yes, her fault but being a single mother of 3 young kids, it happens. Rockingham Oil was open, Debbie answered the phone and said they were out delivering but refused to get to her regular customer of 20 years until the following week. She's had her ups and downs with this company and many have told her of horrible experiences and to go elsewhere but being a loyal customer she was told by this devil of a woman during the coldest time of the year when you need heat the most, to freeze and wait till after Christmas with 3 kids in the home. It wasn't until she called another company's after hour service that she was suggested to prime the line and put diesel fuel in it. Debbie wasn't even friendly enough to suggest that. All the negative reviews are true and this woman Debbie is pure devil. read more

I moved to New England in the spring of 2014. The home we purchased we knew needed a new oil tank. We contacted Rockingham Oil and after talking to them and getting a bid and also letting them know that our boiler was backup heat to our wood stove we went with them! The work they preformed was wonderful! Although New England had a very harsh winter last year and along with our wood stove we did not even burn half a tank of oil last heating season so no oil was purchased! This year we had a chilly night and decided to just fire up the boiler to take the chill off,,,, it had failed (turned out to be a plugged nozzle),,,, we called Rockingham Oil to come and service it. We had NOT purchased fuel oil from them yet as it has not been needed so our account with them apparently has become inactive, so they refused to service us when we needed them! Loyalty counts for nothing with them, it's all about $$$$,,, if you do not spend enough on them they do not need you! When you google them this is what it says" Rockingham Oil is on a mission to provide our customers with the highest quality service and timely oil delivery." I will add if you spend a buttload of money with them you are a customer,,, if not you can go pound sand for all they care... Run away screaming! read more

Zero stars, they don't even get one. Please, everyone thinking of going to this company, STOP, and read the reviews. One after the other has had nightmares with this company and I'm one of them. First, Debbie is the most arrogant, rude, individual I've ever encountered with any business. She thinks we all have to bow down to her. No compassion, no ethics, no personality, and certainly no professionalism. When other reviews use the word DEVIL, that's no exaggeration, she's one miserable person to deal with. Recently Rockingham Oil delivered oil to my house when I am not on automatic delivery. We've always called when our tank was about due, as we always check it. That wasn't bad, until I found out they demanded their money immediately. Hey, we are on a fixed income and I don't have $400 kicking around doing nothing. We expressed our concern that we don't have the money and that we did not ask for oil. We told them we would have to pay in increments to satisfy them. Little did I know, we had paid for oil last fall using a debit card, and without my permission they put that card on file. I sat down to pay my bills for the month and noticed a whole bunch of money missing. Hummm, yes, you guessed it, they hit my debit card for the full amount without my knowledge and I now have no money for food, and my loan payment due in a few days. Bouncing checks is pretty costly and I'm about to find out just what this company is costing me in fees. Rockingham Oil is a business to beware of. They lie, cheat and steal, have no idea what honesty is, and screw over the majority of their customers. Even with their regular customers, it may take time, but eventually you will have problems. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Talk about shady these clowns "serviced" my furnace and 3 hours later it was much worse than it has ever been. Called them back immediately the next morning and they told me it was completely junk and needed to be replaced?? Not sure why they serviced something without my authorization that is completely junk as they say. Luckily I had a friend who knows how to work on these come fix there mess up. Never received a call back from the service guy who I found out later was the owner and when he called me back a day and a half later he told me to go f*ck myself! Wow really professional pal! Rude on phone and dropped us as customer for no reason coldwst week of year!....NOT trustworthy!

Our experience with Rockingham Oil is very similar to the recent review from the single Mom requesting Oil delivery from Rockinham. We had been a loyal will call customer of Rockingham Oil since day one with this company. On December 28, 2017 I called Rockingham to request heating oil delivery. Like many other orders I've placed over the many years with Rockingam, Deb did not answer the phone and I was pushed to voicemail where I left the required details for next business day delivery for home heating oil. When I had not heard back from Rockingham nor received heating oil on Tuesday January 2, I again called Rockingham. Keep in mind this was the coldest part of the year with a projected extended cold spell to follow. When I spoke with Deb she showed nothing on her schedule for delivery to my home. I informed her that I left voicemail last Friday and it should be in her system. Her response to me words to the effect "I get hundreds of voicemails, don't have time to respond to all of them". I was shocked by her response and asked her to deliver tomorrow as we were at approximately 1/8 of a tank. Deb stated she could do nothing for me, was not taking any more orders for home heating fuel, and that prepay and auto delivery customers were her priority. She went on to say that Rockingham never had a next day will call delivery system... a total misstatement on her part. Deb then offered that if I wanted to call later in the week, she would see what she could do for me but no promises. As a senior citizen, I was forced to move to another oil company with a far better reputation. Rockingham kicked another long term customer to the curb and what's disturbing is that they didn't care if I ran out of fuel. Go elsewhere folks and avoid dealing with the "devil." read more
