The teachers are great and truly dedicated to helping guide the kids toward learning opportunities and making them interested in learning. The school does go a bit off the Montessori plan by having some testing and homework, BUT having grown up attending a Montessori school I think this is something that they should all do anyway to help prepare kids for more standardized school systems, so I am in favor of it. Obviously, parents are parents and can be quite positive or negative (and very vocal) about their experience at school. The previous reviews were left for the previous school, which totally changed about three and a half years ago. The lady who owns the school now truly cares about the place, ranging from new facilities to new materials. Honestly, this school is one of the things that is keeping us in the Melbourne area...the teachers, the students, the other parents...everything is exactly what we want for our kids during these pre-K through elementary years.

This facility did everything they possibly could to make my daughter feel safe, comfortable, educated, and every morning she couldn't wait to get out of the car to run to her class room. I completely and utterly regret taking my daughter out of this school. I needed to work more and I needed longer hours and I made the mistake of thinking another place would care as much as they do. Especially Ms. Ilianna, I'm so grateful for your willingness to help Brantley. You have a beautiful soul whom I know cares about every single child there. You are always involved with the children, parents and teachers as much as you can. You've helped my daughter so much, she's doing so many things she couldn't do before she started here. And you have helped me to find resources for my daughter outside of the school. I highly recommend this school to anyone because I know that any child from any background or with any disability will be safe physically, mentally and be excited for school.

The past 2.5 years have been nothing short of amazing. Every teacher at Coral Reef Academy is dedicated to creating a loving, safe, and nurturing environment. The administration has been outstanding. Our kids have experienced developmental milestones, from dealing with friends biting and challenging potty training to learning kindness and sharing. The teachers and administration have supported us through it all. We've experienced care across almost all age groups, from 1's to 4's. The kids learn essential skills like eating in a cafeteria, sharing, resolving conflicts, understanding emotions, and just being kids, all under the watchful and trustworthy eye of the staff. Communication is excellent through an app, and secure access with a code allows parents to enter as needed. The playgrounds are safe and clean, with staff ensuring proper hydration and monitoring the weather for excessive heat and storms. They celebrate various events like fall festivals, Thanksgiving lunch, Grandparents Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Scholastic Book Fair, Dr. Seuss Week, and bring in companies like Soccer Shots and Dancing Little Stars for extracurricular activities. We are moving, and unfortunately, their locations are too far for our schedule. I met both of the owners within the first week of him starting. They own two centers one on stack Boulevard and one on NASA Boulevard. I chose the one on NASA Boulevard because it's closer to my job. I absolutely love the school. The curriculum is awesome. It's always clean. But more importantly you can tell that the owners and the staff truly care about what they do on a daily basis. They're always there, They always look neat, they know everyone by name! And I do mean everyone. Ohhh and they're culturally inclusive! Which is a rare find in Palm Bay !!! If you want your child to actually want to go to school , to actually love their school, send them here !

I currently moved back to Florida from Chicago. I have a 2 year old son that has been in head start…read moreback home so of course I was looking into getting him in schooling here in Florida. I scheduled a tour for La Petite Academy Merritt Island. Juan who greeted us was very nice and professional and turned out to be the one to give us the tour. As he was walking us through he explained every room and set up. The first thing I noticed while walking through was that it wasn't as diverse as I was hoping for. Then when we got to the class that my son would be in, there was four children in there and three of them was laying on the floor with dirty, runny noses and playing in their snot. Huge turn off and red flag. The part that confirmed it for me that my son would not be going there was how the teacher (or whatever they're called because she definitely wasn't a teacher) was looking at my son like he was a foreign object. That was a red flag for me and further let me know that she wasn't used to seeing or working with black children. She didn't utter two words to him nor did she interact with him. Literally just stared at him. At that point it was time to end the tour because it was no point in continuing on.
