My husband purchases a lot of material for his woodworking projects, and ran across an epoxy art class. So we signed up. Steve was our instructor and he was a wealth of knowledge, taking his time to explain everything we needed to know before we actually 'poured' and 'blew' our project scenes. The end results were amazing, and the class was so much fun, and we received a coupon for any shopping that day! The boards we made can be used for anything from serving trays/charcuterie boards, or just wall art decor. I attended a bowl turning class with Larry as the instructor on 2/15/26. I had a fantastic time and so did the other two ladies in my group. I took Steve's epoxy class in October 2025. I'm a complete newbie, never did anything like this. He was incredibly thorough, funny, and kept the class flowing easily. Started with explaining the process, showing all the items needed. Made sure we understood the measurement process and the necessary timing to successfully create our work of art. I'm shocked!!! I truly made the most incredible beach and wave scene!! I'll be using the lessons learned to complete more items just like this. Thank you so much Steve!! I'm not a wood worker/carpenter by any means but came here to look for stains for new shelving we got put in. I didn't end up finding what I needed but Albert and Bob were so nice and helpful! Got Wood? If not, then this is your place assuming you don't just need something from Lowe's, Home Depot, or Busy Beaver (look it up). They have some unique slaps if you're looking for a show piece to finish a project, or even some exotic woods like walnut, which is way more expensive than I thought it would be. Bring your own tape measure if you can as checking the width's of some of the boards can be a challenge if you're lifting and trying to measure with their guides where the boards are. You have to take the boards out and put on the floor to get an accurate measurement. They also have plenty of woodworking tools that brings out the Bob Villa in all of us (wait, that sounds gross). If you're doing a wood working project and just can't find what you need elsewhere, give Rockler a try. read more

These guys are over-the-top fantastic. They REALLY have the customer service thing figured out, as well as having all sorts of neat toys, tools, and a large selection of available, including some rare finds, wood. We've been to the store several times, despite it being more than 2 hours from us. We took an intro-to-router class and it was terrific. We have purchased all kinds of goodies from them both in-store and online from .com. The latest round was just beyond awesome. Wife wanted to have a look at the CNC offerings. We found them, a laser cutter, and then we encountered Steve on our first visit who was showing us around the Shaper. He was so excited to show us (knowing full well we weren't buying on the spot). He offered up Jen to show us around the laser and CNC machines as she was more of an expert (his words). He gave us his cell to call on Friday to organize a visit after our return home from a work trip. Who does this? Well, Rocker apparently. We went back down to spend 2-3 hours there just learning about their options for CNC, Shaper, and Laser. Jen was FANTASTIC. She spent like an hour and a half with my wife (and me) explaining the various systems, benefits, and models. She explained what kinds of projects each can be used for, the tools, accessories, bundles, and more. Steve brought in some of his ideas around creating inlays for my wife and sat for almost an hour with her. They, of course, helped other customers while attending us but this was unbelievable service. I called to ask about a model number and got Bob. He said he'd do the best he could to answer my question and he said "yeah, I remember you." You don't get that in the big box stores. Incidentally, he absolutely answered my question. There are so many reasons to buy here. Sure, they're slightly pricier than Home Depot or BLowe's but there is a whole different level of quality and the service is phenomenal. They'll share their projects with you. They show the Rockler.com website with all the free learning material. They're excited to show you the workshop schedule. We WILL be buying here. I love coming to rockler for all of my woodworking needs. They have a huge selection of hardwoods of both domestic and exotic species along with all of the tools needed. The staff is always willing to answer questions and help out. They also offer classes on the weekend to learn new skills. I signed up for the woodturning 101 class which was all day long and felt very comfortable using a lathe after the class. Well worth the money! My only complaint is that I think their prices are a little high and makes it difficult to woodwork as a hobby without selling items. read more

Came out here looking for duel wood burning pens with wire tips. Unfortunately they did not have any. They did have the standard low voltage beginners pens in stock, in case you're wondering. I ended up walking around the store and enjoyed the various woods that they had. It was quite beautiful. Wood-grain therapy! Haha. Seriously though, if you need some peace there is just something about wood grains that can set you at ease. I was appreciative that I had the opportunity to walk peacefully around the store and admire the variety. I did end up speaking to an associate that told me about their workshops. They keep them very small (4 or less) to accommodate for Covid distancing. Everyone wears masks. Friendly folks! Will be back for other wood projects in the future! read more

Such a great store, certainly because of the products they carry and the attractive layout, but more so because of the amazing staff they have at this location. Friendly, warm and funny while being knowledgeable and professional. I feel welcome every time I walk in, which is often multiple times a week. I've attended a number of demos and taken a class as well, and the staff again taught me a great deal while making it a fun experience, and actually helped me gain confidence that I can learn woodworking. As a result I've bought everything from pen making supplies to a planer and bandsaw from them and every experience was great. They even helped me get my bandsaw home as my vehicle is too small to transport it. First rate service, great people, a must visit if you're into any kind of woodworking. read more

The middle of the store is a workshop for demonstrations. They can even have cases of hinges/slides or plywood shipped directly to my house. If I lives closer, I would apply for a job here. Excellent little specialty shop woodworkers of all skill levels, from hobbyist to crafting artisan. Knowledgeable staff. Decent prices, especially when you consider the unique nature pf some of the more specialized equipment. Nice staff. Good selection of both wood and tools. Plus they can order anything you need. Staff always provides multiple options, so they work with any budget and provide options. Like most stores of this type, they lean more toward machine based woodworking over hand tool wood working, but that is normal today. Drove almost 2.5 hours to this store because I couldn't find one near me that had CNC routers on display. The trip was well worth it. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. No one was pushy and they definitely don't try to force you into more expensive equipment for the sake of a sale. I felt very comfortable asking questions and discussing the pros and cons of various tools I was considering. As a woman, and a slightly younger one than what I'd imagine their average customer is, I want to thank every single employee of that store for not even batting an eyelash or giving me any different advice/treatment because it. I was sort of mentally bracing myself to deal with egos or unpleasantness and it turns out that was all so unnecessary on my part.
