I've said in a previous review that it's the little things that matter to me in any service business and Rocklin Smiles seems to pride themselves on those little things. My recent visit was once again seamless and easy. This time I want to highlight the receptionist's awareness. I'm not sure of her name but she seems to take pride in knowing my name which I'm sure is common practice for her and all the patient's. I was greeted by name as soon as I walked in. Now, I know they're expecting their patients at certain times but being kindly greeted by name is not something I've experienced at other dentists. After waiting about 5 minutes while scrolling through my phone the receptionist updated me that I'd be seen soon. The awareness to keep me informed before I even had the chance to even realize I had been waiting longer than normal is the "little things" I mentioned earlier. I know most people can think of countless times waiting in a lobby after being checked in and left to wonder "how much longer am I gonna be waitin?" Something simple as recognizing you have someone waiting and simply updating them seems trivial but I know from experience it takes some caring to be aware of that. And that caring attitude is not too common these days. The dental assistant that I've been assigned my last two visits is also just as hospitable and aware. I've never had a dentist who was so organized and detailed. Dr Sugimoto got me through the fillings and the crowns with zero pain. She gave me a referral for a root canal to a great endodontist and everything went smoothly (as smooth as it can be for a root canal). Josie had the wonderful job of cleaning my teeth after several years of not going to a dentist. She was incredibly thorough yet gentle with my teeth. I was thinking she was going to be scraping hard and what not, but no. She took her time and did an excellent job. Elizabeth and the other assistants are also wonderful, competent, and patient. My wife and I are very happy we found Rocklin Smiles.

There were so many different ways to go about this and none of those ways were established. If they were honest from the beginning saying he may or may not be able to see you because he may or may not be retiring would have been much better than blind siding patients.
