We went here for drinks two nights in a row. The seating area had very slow service, though the bar service was much better on the second night. The biggest issue was the pricing. The drinks are way on the high side. Charging $50 for 1 oz of Blanton's is ridiculous, and $24 for an Old Fashioned feels more like Miami nightclub pricing than a hotel bar. We probably would have stayed longer, but the prices just didn't justify the experience. Also, the sofas looked scruffy and worn down, which took away from the overall atmosphere. Rocks is a beautiful upscale bar located inside the Hyatt Regency Orlando. From this bar, there is a spectacular view of the grand pool. The bar itself is massive in size with trendy decor. They have an oversized bar counter and many comfortable lounge chairs and sofas. We had a business meeting here before dinner, so we only ordered a charcuterie board to go with our drinks. I opted for a blueberry lemonade mocktail, which was absolutely delicious! When the bar is packed, the noise level is very high. It has a vaulted ceiling, which carries sound. There were only 2 waitresses for the entire place, so the wait was rather long, but we received good service. I felt the menu items were reasonably priced. My mocktail was $12 and the charcuterie board was $19, just to give you an idea. I definitely recommend this bar! Great food and drinks, beautiful ambiance! read more

I ordered my margarita with the charcuterie board with different types of cheese, olives, nuts, pickled veggies and bread. Margarita was not to over powering of alcohol or mixer. It was pretty balanced of alcohol and sweetness. The place was busy due to Zincon happening in the hotel. But staff keeped it pretty clean and redy for the next guest. Service at the bar is great. Prompt and helpful. Our first round was ordered and closed out at the bar, and we took those cocktails to a table. From there, a server started rounding on us. This is where things went south. Table service is a crime!!!! Three of us sat and had drinks. I was paying in cash, or at least I thought I was! I already knew the price of the drinks because we had a round prior. I ordered one more while at the table, and my friends did not order anything g. So when then drink came, I gave her a $20. That should cover the drink AND the tip. HOWEVER- When we went to leave, the server came chasing me out with the bill. I was like excuse me? I gave you a $20. Did you think $20 per drink was your tip? She appeared a bit taken aback but the whole idea was we only had an hour and we were trying to get to dinner. She said I still owed her money!!!! I was in complete disbelief but also didn't want to make a scene or make us late for dinner. I will NEVER be served at a table at that bar again. Bartender service only. Rocks is a classy cocktail bar located inside of the Hyatt Regency. It is expensive but the drinks are good. They offer a select few small bites but overall I would recommend finding a pub or bar with more food options to counterbalance your alcohol consumption. Service gets super busy and with that you may find long stints of time where you don't see your server. Hang in there as they will come around. read more

Interesting bar in the Hyatt Regency. Was here for work and's had a series of events at the bar. Food was pretty good in the audience was quite sophisticated. There is a nice rooftop deck there where you can smoke cigars and look out on the recreational area. I will say that when the bar got crowded the service got exceptionally slow. I ordered a soda and she just put it on a dirty table before I had to mention that the table needs to be wiped. I asked our waitress to wipe the table that was covered with cigarette ash's, but rather than cleaning it, she just wiped them all over the table with a sanitizer wipe. I asked for more wipes to wipe the table myself. There is still a full ash tray of cigarettes cigars sitting at our table with the dirty sanitizer wipes, overflowing. We've been sitting here for an hour and she's been at our table twice. Once to take our drink order and once after having an empty glass for 15 minutes to ask if we wanted a refill. Took 20 minutes to receive a new glass. The service is honestly trash. For charging so much, I expected better service. Her manners were awful, she didn't even introduce herself. If it was packed, I'd understand, but it wasn't. The waitress at the table next to us was checking on her table at the most every ten minutes. The bar is comfortable and well lit, surrounded by big glass walls and overlooking one of the Hyatt's pools. Service was good, the beer was cold and the chips were crunchy. Love the atmosphere and some of the food... I was a guest at the hotel and didn't want to travel far for a bite to eat and a yummy margarita. I wanted to try the Italian restaurant on site, but the restaurant isn't open on Sunday. Well here I am at Rocks. The full bar and restaurant is right inside the Hyatt Regency Orlando hotel. My daughter and I walked up the handicap accessible ramp to a beautiful open space of awesome views and spectacular lighting. It wasn't busy at all on a Sunday about 6pm. We were immediately greeted by a hostess... we were seated and decided we wanted to dine in a more comfy location... We headed to the loveseat and cushion seating area and decided to relax and chill with views of the outdoor pool. Oh yeah this was more comfortable. Another hostess/waitress greeted us and was our waitress for our time here. She was pleasant and super patient as we looked over the menu. Rocks features tapas, small plates. I really didn't see anything of interest, but I knew I wanted something. We opted to share an order of wings and fries. I figured it was safe and hoped they'd be good. The food took more than a little while to come out. Luckily it didn't present a huge concern because we were enjoying the atmosphere and were super relaxed. Vacation mode! My margarita arrived... it was tasty. Not the best but I didn't complain. I ordered another... The wings are whole wings and the flavoring just ok and overall the taste... just ok. I would've been satisfied with the fries and drinks. I'll know next time. So the wings based on my experience. I wouldn't order them again or suggest you order them. But the ambiance and service alone this place is awesome. There's an outdoor patio. One can dine and I believe smoking is allowed on the patio as well. Views of the outdoor pool. Certain nights performances take place and I believe I saw advertisements for dance parties occur here too. For good vibes, drinks, conversation... I'd suggest you give this place a shot. So this is the multi-level, crowded bar in Tower 2. Personally, I found it loud. I guess that's how bars are, but not conducive to conversation. We had asked our bartender for a dinner location recommendation. He suggested a few places that did not have good Yelp reviews, so we went with the Yelp reviews. My husband went back after dinner and told the bartender to start recommending the place we had eaten ~ Yelp reviews are pretty on target. Nothing special to me. read more

I really liked this bar while staying at the Hyatt. The overall ambiance was new-age with lots of lively colors in front of the entrance. We had a private party at the corner of the establishment and I was glad that we were given two dedicated waitresses to after to our beverages and take our orders. When I walked over to check out their bar menu, I was shocked to see that high scale tequila was only $10 per generous pours and even Lagavulin was very appropriately priced. This, combined with a courteous service, decent appetizers (chaucterie, peppers, burgers) made this one of the nicer hotel bars I've had the pleasure of dining at. Had a friend from California coming to Orlando for a convention, so we took a quick drive down to catch up, and meet her at the hotel (Hyatt Regency.) We arrived just a tad early, so after we walked into the lobby, we heard the live music (loud, but not overwhelming) and saw the bar to the left, so we walked up for a quick beer. The bar is gorgeous and sleek, with plenty of seating and fantastic views of the massive property and pools. There are probably about 8-10 different beer options, and we tried a few local OBC brews. Service was quick, not really super friendly, but that didn't really matter. Our friends arrived, and after their long flight and our drive, we didn't feel like leaving (good thing there are about 4-5 different places to grab a bit in the hotel, so we peaced out for a bit to hit the diner, but we ended back at this bar (seems there are several tucked around every corner) and by that time it was packed, but service was still super quick. read more

Stayed at the Hyatt a few weekends ago and we spent a good amount of time at Rocks one night. The bartenders are attentive / engaging (go Adrian!) and the bar draws a pretty large crowd across hotel stayers / convention goers. Night over night, you can even catch some "regulars" (if that can exist at a hotel bar). Lots of TVs and a bunch of people watching opportunities. The menu includes a plethora of beachy cocktails and food options. Grab the hummus if you need a filling and quick fix. As far as hotel bars go, this is one of my better experiences - def check out Rocks while at the Hyatt. read more

For a lounge at a hotel, this is probably one of the best I've experienced. The wait staff was attentive, the bar tenders worked efficiently, the place is spacious, the lighting was great. The combination of chairs, couches and ottomans is perfect. The live music wasn't overpowering and it put the room in a good mood. I think the color scheme of the bar clashes with the metallic look of the large columns in the room, but that shouldn't be that important. the price of the drinks were comparable to other establishments in the area. I saw plenty on laptops and ipads, so its also conducive for that sort of activity. Good times at a great location. read more

Wait staff nice and professional, however $8.45 a peace for a vodka and tonic is crazy and $ 15.00 a plate of nachos that were just o.k. at best. $6.57 for a beer what the! $80.00 for a few drinks and some nachos and the tip. I guess I have to review this place since I'm the duchess of check-ins----with only two check-ins total. Ha! This is a hotel bar, so obviously no regulars, but it was a very convenient place to go if you are attending a conference at the Orange County Convention Center. The place is now technically part of the Hyatt (they bought out the Peabody), but it's still pretty much the same as it was (according to staff). Drink and food menu are good for a happy hour, and the outdoor seating options make it way more desirable as a watering hole prior to dinner. The apps were pretty standard- nothing too spectacular, though I only tried the chips and salsa and edamame hummus. Tapped into the wine menu for drinks and really liked the Chardonnay options from Sonoma. I forget which one I got, but it was the higher end option. Go if you're staying at the Hyatt or need a good place to meet for happy hour. read more

Currently staying at the hotel connected to this restaurant/bar. Tonight was the second night I have ordered a bottle of wine and got treated terribly by the same bartender. I ordered a bottle of red wine last night and brought us two glasses of red wine. I told him we ordered the bottle, he didn't apologize and took the glasses away. Gave us the wine. Tonight, I ordered a bottle of brut. He said we have to go downstairs to see if we have it. Ten minutes later I find him and he gives me a thumbs down. I said, what does that mean? He said we don't have it. I ended up going downstairs to urban tide where they supposedly didn't have the bottle I ordered. Guess what, they had it. I would highly not recommend this place, there are so many other options. I'm here for another 3 days and won't step with in 30 feet of the place. It's sad that ordering a bottle means nothing to servers and bartenders now a day. read more

Expect the worst service you can expect at a bar. This is one of the most abysmal bar experiences I've had in a long time. Expect the bartenders to ignore you, not to make eye contact with you, to not greet you, to skip over you to serve the women who got to the bar to the left and right of you after you got there and you know they have seen you there, to place an order and then instead of taking care of you have them go and serve someone it seems they prefer to tend more. On top of that there is absolutely nothing special with this bar. There are too many places in the area to go grab a drink, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
