After searching through the "paid search winners" and getting an outrageous quote or two... I found these guys at ROCKSTARINDY! Ryan was who I spoke with and he was great! I was on the road traveling for business and what began as the teeny-tiniest of a crack in my windshield right near the dash suddenly grew to 77 inches long, was obstructing my view and needed emergency attention. I was cut off by a vehicle on 465 yesterday and sure enough, a rock came flying at me and made a horrible sound. I didn't realize till after I parked that it made a knick in my windshield (luckily less than a penny in size). Inconvenient, to say the least, but luckily Yelp's convenient request a quote feature saved the day. I got three quotes ranging from $55 - $175. $55 was from Rockstar Indy and he also traveled to my location of choice. Affordable and convenient? Yes please. We scheduled a time to meet the following day to get it taken care of before it spread anymore. Given the frigid temps, it did unfortunately spread slightly over the next 24 hours before Jason arrived. He was a few minutes late, but nothing to write home about. He was finished in about 20-30 minutes. While it doesn't look brand new, I am hoping that it stops it from spreading and won't cause further damage. Even if it does, Jason said he'd be back out to replace it for a discount, I believe. PS - Jason accepts insurance so be sure to check to see if your insurance company covers these types of issues. Word to the wise, don't go to the address given as they operate not in a shop, instead they will come to you and repair or install your windshield. Something hit my windshield on the highway, no idea what it was or where it came from, but it sure left it's marks. I had one little ding and a spiderweb crack a couple inches from there. I wanted to get this fixed asap as I heard horror stories of windows cracking all across as the result of a tiny chip. I called that evening and made arrangements with Steve to send a technician out to my work the next day. He gave me a one hour window and the technician was right on time. He fixed my windshield no problem. He even fixed a third tiny crack that I had not even noticed. Great experience overall. My 2018 expedition had a leaky windshield. No damage to the glass but just a bad install by the previous aftermarket folks. I went to the shop and talked to the owner who gave me my options which even at the most expensive were just slightly over half of the price quoted to me by some of the national companies. I set an appointment for the next day and the technician was right on time and extremely friendly and thorough. This all occurred in my driveway, by the way. I hope I don't have any more auto glass repair needs, but if I do, these are my guys. Great to support a local business and their work was top notch. Firstly he got epoxy all over my hood. Seemed baffled I noticed. He then cleaned it with a razor blade and WD-40. The wax and clear float is messed up on my hood. Near all the spots the epoxy was there are tiny scratches. They should buff out easily. The epoxy left a mark on the hood. There are also deep scratches that all over the hood. The way they are placed it looks like it was caused by someone being on top of my hood and scratched it with a tool or a zipper. There is also a lot of scratches on the top of the hood I haven't ever seen before. He was trying to tell me it was because the windshield wipers being lifted up or some BS but there's no way they can touch the hood. It was probably his tool box or something. I just got the car 5 days ago and would have noticed them all. I also have photos of the car clearly without these scratches. read more

I contacted owner and asked if I was still in the schedule- he said yes. By the afternoon of day 2 with no word from installer I called safelite and got it completed. A rock hit my windshield on I-465. The crack was about 3", but everyone I spoke to told me that the entire windshield needed to be replaced in order to preserve the integrity of it and prevent further crack expansion. Jason was right on time and did an excellent job. He repaired a couple of chips in the windshield of one car and cleaned the lens covers on the headlights of a 20 year old car. I absolutely cannot see where the chips were on the windshield and the headlights on the other car are awesome. I forgot what it was to see well at night after having fogged up headlights for so long. The best part is that he is very reasonable and he even came to us to do the work.
