Ended up walking in because I saw all their flash tattoos not on paper, but all over the walls. It was really cool to walk past! Saw they had a cute cactus with a flower under & it was so me, I had no choice but to go in. Was in and out in about an hour. Would've been less but we ended up chit chatting with the guys who were working in there. All of them super nice & kept us super entertained while we were in there. The shop itself was clean, the walls again were badass, I wish I would've went back for another one tbh. My cactus came out super cute! Didn't catch the guy who tattooed me's name but we chit chatted the whole time, super nice guy. For $60, it was exactly what I was expecting. My friend also got an eyebrow piercing from the same guy. He killed it, my friend was obsessed with it! Probably won't stop thinking about the heart web I didn't get so best believe I'll be back to get it when I'm back in Vegas!! read more

Charlie shouldn't be considered an artist. He absolutely botches a simple can tab piece. Liners where shakey and shading looked like it was ATTEMPTED with the same liner not a shader. This is unacceptable. Radio silence after it being brought up then the owner said come back and we'll fix it, this might not speak for the whole shop but for this man and his "work" he needs a lot more hours as an apprentice before he touches skin again. If he can execute a simple B&G piece he shouldn't had a needle to skin. Do better please. This industry is already as ends. read more

TL;DR: Charlie did my tattoo, and was completely wonderful. I don't believe in coincidence; I was supposed to get my tattoo from here, by this artist, and I don't regret it one bit. My grandma is not a fan of tattoos, and had nothing but good things to say. ---- On Sunday my grandmother and I visited Fremont street for our first ever trip to Vegas, and while walking around I found this little shop tucked away. It looked very simple and clean inside and I'd been wanting to find a convenient place to get a tattoo. My last walk-in experience at a shop local to me was terrible, so I was pretty apprehensive, and I wasn't sure what to expect from a shop in an area like Fremont. When I walked in, the person behind the desk acknowledged me and let me look around a bit. I asked a few questions about which tattoo artists were in and how they handle walk-ins. He said his name was Charlie, and his portfolio had been the one that i had looked at online before coming in. I asked about the flash on the wall, and he said they prefer custom over flash (understandably). I preferred custom too, but wasn't sure I could get something custom done quickly. I showed him a few photos and once I told him I wanted a more witchy vibe I could tell he was getting more enthusiastic as we were talking. I sent him my reference photo and he put his head down and started sketching. The design was simple, but needed just a little reworking to make it tattoo-friendly. We discussed options for placement and we chose my elbow, so we put the stencil on and tested the stretching/movement. He mentioned he thought maybe a little bit of color would make it stand out. I was in the shop for probably less than an hour, and I was so happy with how it came out I had to hug him. We were on the same page about the idea and he was able to add his own flare (pun intended) to make it just that much more special. He was respectful and enthusiastic, and considerate of placement and how the tattoo might age and stretch. We chatted the whole time and I was so relaxed there, which is something I haven't yet experienced in any shops I've been to (I've had good and friendly artists, but none so easy to chat with). The tattoo was more expensive than I had planned for this trip, but he was upfront about the price from the beginning and I don't think it was unreasonable with all things considered. He earned it, for sure. My grandmother mentioned afterwards what a "friendly and nice young man" he was, and that he did such a quick job. ---- I got a gluestick-style/twist-up container of Aquaphor at a Walgreens on the Strip, and have been applying it when it dries out. It's already healing nicely and looks great 2 days later. I love that it has sketch-lines and the color in the middle was such a nice touch. I already recommended Charlie to multiple people that asked about the design. I don't have a single bad thing to say about them - I would make a trip out just to have more work done here. I did forget to get his Instagram handle so hopefully he gets to read this review! read more

Anthony was a nice guy and did a great job in my wife's tattoo. When it came time to do mine, I wanted a Slayer S on my middle finger. I asked him to draw it out, he said I will draw it on your finger. That was stupid, because it looks nothing like a Slayer S and just looks like an S. Rockstar Tattoo don't know how to draw a Slayer! When we started to leave they began yelling at us for wasting their time. Now the owner is calling me a liar. Maybe you should take a look at how you and your employees treat their customers. I do not personally know you or your employees so this is not a revenge review but after the way we were treated I decided to take the time to write a review so other people were better informed. read more

My sister-in-law and I wanted small tattoos to commemorate our trip and called the shop last night to see if we could get in around 1pm. Javier could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Sad to say I'm disappointed in this place.. spur of the moment buzzed tattoos with my husband. (I mean we were in Vegas). Very pricey for the tiny tattoos, we spent 306 for 3 small finger tattoos. Initially I was SO happy with the tattoos I thought they were so cute and the ink looked so dark.. now after just over a week later most of the tattoos are super faded and missing chunks. Expected with finger tattoos over time..But I have other tattoos and know how to care for them. The service was great, that's why I'm giving 2 stars (editing to 1 star). Wouldn't go back 127 was A LOT for such small tattoos especially if they aren't going to last. Henna tattoos lasted longer than these real tattoos :( read more

Charlie whipped up a sunflower tattoo for my ankle when I walked in yesterday, 10/22. He did a fantastic job! It is more than I expected, since some people can't tattoo sunflowers all that well. The tat looks even better on day 2! (first photo is right after it was completed, second photo is 2nd day.) I HIGHLY recommend going! While I was there, other people came in to specifically request some of their other tattoo artists which is a great sign, especially because most people who go in are from out of town. I just got my nose pierced here last night. I am very displeased with my experience. The piercer did not pay attention very well considering I not only got my nose pierced, but half of my freaking septum simultaneously. How does one be so careless as to not watch the needle after the initial piercing?? Not to mention the "stopper" was 2 Q-tips. When I told him what he was doing, his response was "shh you're okay, you're okay". That was all they did. Do not recommend. read more

I like to get tattoos when I'm on vacation and picked Rockstar because it had pretty good reviews. I know it's because of Covid but the whole process of even getting in to get the tattoo was long and pretty frustrating that I wasn't able to talk to the tattoo artist beforehand. The check in girl worked with me on the design and I was happy with what we came up with. The way my arm was placed on the table made it look like the tattoo was centered and now that it's done it's very noticeable that it's not. The lines are not as straight as they should be. There is a large spot that should be filled in, he shaded it which was fine but it is not filled in at all. The shading doesn't go to the lines, doesn't fill in the whole area and it's blotchy. This was unnoticeable when he was finished, it looked all filled in but the next day you could tell it wasn't. And now, four days later, the darkest part of the shading (which isn't that dark at all) is starting to look infected. I have several tattoos so I know how to take care of a new tattoo and none of them have ever gotten infected like this. Also, $200 for a tattoo that took all of 7 minutes at the most is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care if it's Vegas or not. read more

This shop is located next to Denny's in the Fremont Experience. I came to this shop on my vacation from Washington. They worked with me and we discussed a few ideas. Alex was my artist and he did an amazing job of taking my idea and making it come to life better then I imagined. I loved his excitement to do my piece! The shop minimum is $100 and they go from there based on piece not by time it takes. I feel like he tried to make the piece as detailed and pretty as possible while still only charging me what we agreed upon. I gave 4 stars because this shop has no name on the outside! Other then that this shop is clean, the other artist I met was great to talk to and they both seemed to know what they were doing. I was a walk-in actually. After I called in from the airport because I had an 8 1/2 hour layover thought that I would take my chances on getting a tattoo so I would leave Vegas with something. Lucky for me. Steve had time to do my tattoos. I had couple started , that needed to be improved. which he did beautifully on, I was amazed on how natural he made them look. Especially the one close to my shoulder. It a purple rose with a space between it and a hummingbird. And yet he was able to incorporate a flower that a hummingbird would actually go for.
