I've been really disappointed with the communication and billing practices at Rockville Smiles. We have received several erroneous invoices, and when I call to ask what is going on, it is very difficult to get anyone on the phone. When I leave a message, I do not receive a call back. After finally reaching someone, I was told there had been a glitch and that several patients received incorrect invoices. While I understand mistakes happen, the lack of communication makes the situation much more frustrating. We also have dual insurance, and I have been invoiced before the second insurance has even processed or paid. That creates unnecessary confusion and could potentially cause a financial hardship if families are paying hundreds of dollars before the full insurance process is complete. Even if a refund is eventually issued, patients should not have to front money unnecessarily because billing was not handled properly. The office also recently cancelled my child's appointment because the dentist will be out of town. Instead of calling directly to help reschedule, they sent a text message asking me to call the office, even though getting someone on the phone has already been a major issue. The message also stated that they are booking the next available openings for all patients being rescheduled, which is frustrating when the cancellation was on their end. The dental care itself is mediocre (espeically the cleanings) at best and with the the billing issues, poor follow-up, lack of returned calls, and inconvenient rescheduling process have made this a very frustrating experience. I hope the office improves its communication and billing processes because families should not have to chase down answers or worry about incorrect invoices. read more

I am traveling from Los Angeles and was supposed to meet every month but they were able to work with me and allowed my next visit to be in 6 months to save money on traveling. Very disappointing experience today (April 23, ~1:00 PM). I had just returned from my grandmother's funeral abroad the night before and was unaware the office had tried to contact me (no voicemail was left). Despite being jet-lagged and unwell, I still showed up for my son's appointment. The front desk associate (male with curly hair and eyeglasses) immediately raised his voice at me in a rude, confrontational way about insurance and paying out of pocket. There was zero apology and no professionalism. This is unacceptable behavior in a healthcare setting. This is long but this office deserves it. My 6yo has had a challenging time with X-rays at a prior pediatrics center. Our first visit here Taco did incredible by staying positive with my nervous daughter. Just imagine your little mouth having a big ole piece shoved in to take a picture. Taco got another RDA and they team worked getting her X-rays done. We then returned for attempted treatment for cavities but sadly my daughter would not let them treat her cavities, this was attempted more than once. So, we returned again... for a nerve wrecking, anxiety ridden general anesthesia appointment. I can't express my gratitude to the office enough. I'm pretty sure the office managers name is Natalia. She immediately introduced herself and talked me through the treatment plan. Dr. Brar then came out and got down to my daughters level and talked us through her steps. Lastly the anesthesiologist Chris came out, also getting down on my daughter's level and talked us through it. The entire team was just beyond incredible. My gratitude for the staff is beyond words. Another thank you to the front office staff Ryan, for answering all of my questions over the phone. Kudos to Chris - for being so personable and friendly in such a terrifying moment. I have always had great experiences here with my 4 year old who has been going here since age 2. Taco is absolutely amazing and truly has the patience and attitude to be working with children. I left yesterday very upset and disappointed as the dental assistant Olga was very rude and impatient with my 4 year old because he wouldn't lay flat and sit still for a full hour and told him "don't move" probably 50 times even when she was just sitting on her computer and she was getting frustrated without even trying to talk to my child like most people that work with children would do to keep them occupied. She seemed very miserable and didn't seem to know at all what she was doing as she had to ask everyone for help for everything she did. She took X-rays of my child and was getting frustrated as if my son kept moving yet he sat still the entire time while she had to retake the same photos 5-6 times cuz she didn't know what she was doing. I don't believe she knows how to work with children yet has the patience to do so and I was shaking when I left because my child shouldn't be treated like that in a CHILDRENS dentist office. I will not be allowing her to work with my child in the future and I think this is something that needs to be addressed. I still gave 5 stars as everyone else has been amazing. read more

This place is amazing! They are so accommodating and kind. We go to the fairway drive Rocklin location. My daughter is with Down syndrome and she has a very big fear of the dentist. They do mock visits every 3 month with her to try get her more and more comfortable, they have worked with our out of office orthodontist with ease and they just care! Dionne is amazing! She put my braces on a few months ago and since then I have requested to only have her as my ortho assistant. She is extremely kind, patient, understanding, and gentle. Rockville Smiles is great at accommodating us every time. They always try to schedule all 3 of my kids together which is super convenient. Wait time is never long and they're quick especially when they know you have to leave soon; of course they still do a good job. Taco was multi-tasking. 4/19/21, Appt for 4:20pm. My daughter and I arrived 10 min before appt and checked in. The lady who checked us in told us to wait outside since there are no seating. So we did. We even told 1 other family who didn't know what was going on and I told them to go in and check in. All I have to say. They overbooked the 4PM Hour Timeslot. They are not prepared for the rush and the lobby is evidence. Even their own security system will show evidence of it. 5 min after the scheduled time. I walked in and asked if they called my daughter's name. The lady said yes and she thought my daughter was in the bathroom. Hello! We were right outside the front door. Don't go maki g that excuse. We were in their line of site and view. Guess the front reception staff doesn't like to get up and walk to their own front door to call a patient's name. Especially when they ask Parents and Patients to wait outside. If you gonna ask Parents and Patients to wait outside. Have the respect to get up and check in on your patients. Luckily there were shade in the first 85+° degree Spring weather. Rant? Heck yeah!!! My daughter and I could have been there another 10+ minutes and the staff more than likely won't get up from there chairs unless their boss walks by or ask for something to take on. read more

Rockville smiles gets 5 stars for sure! my son, 2 years old, has been having trouble with his teeth and they did such an incredible job both times we've been here. the first visit was impressive from the cleanliness of the business to the whole waiting room set up. it's completely accommodating to the entire family of all ages. they had no problem getting my son to let him check his teeth out and figure out what needed to be done next. so today would be what was next- they scheduled my son months ago for anesthesia and fix the several problems he was dealing with. First off I am grateful to such an intensive treatment and work that Rockville smiles accepted. our medical which helped cover most of the costs. Rockville smiles also has very accommodating payment plans which I thought was very cool compared to lost dentistoffices I've been too in my lifetime. My son needed fillings and caps and also had a lip tie that needed to be fixed. They did it all and my little buddy has his smile back which is so awesome.! I am looking forward to continue bringing my children here for the next visits when needed and necessary. The front receptionists were all very kind and friendly to me and my children and prompt to answer any questions and schedule appointment. they check in with you prior to your up coming appointments and even the surgeon who did my son's anesthesia checked in with me the day prior to answer any questions as well. for the situation being dental work. The staff does not give accurate after care information! Told us pain meds would take 20 minutes to be ready at the pharmacy. After 1 hour, called the office and they then told me that 20 minutes was wrong and that it would take more than an additional hour for the meds to be sent to the pharmacy. All the while, my son is in excruciating pain. Manager was not helpful AT ALL! They are terrible at answering the phone as well. Only went to this office as a referral for wisdom teeth removal. Will NEVER go there again. Absolutely no care for the patient, only what is convenient for the dentist staff! So unprofessional and just downright WRONG! Still, as I write this, 2.5 hours after the time we were told the meds would be ready, NO MEDS !! read more
