    Fabulous protein breakfast this morning.

Food is always great. Servers always go above and beyond. I love the outdoor patio on a sunny day.

Great food and friendly and fast service. Huge portions! Can split with someone in your party!! We ordered hash browns with corn beef; tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa; and their coffee is amazing and the best!!

i haven't been here in awhile but every time I visit it's always a pleasant time! This is the first time I stayed for breakfast and not just grabbed a pastry or two and I had such a great experience. The people here are so nice and checked on me if I needed anything while I was working away in their cafe corner (great spot btw!). The menu is extensive but I love all the options! They have soooo many pastries and cookies to choose from! I ended up getting the strawberry chocolate chip but they all looked so good! I can't wait to go back!

Amazing food, vast selection of items to choose from. Service is very professional and friendly. You feel like you've known the staff forever even on your first time going. Ambiance is very unique. Picture a western theme kinda like Knotts Berry Farm. Upstairs they even have a hidden Speakeasy that requires you to make reservations first before entering. Overall fun and energetic restaurant to eat at.

Absolutely wonderful experience with a refreshing ambience. The service was prompt and even led me to enjoy this delicious sandwich and cake that I took home and was able to enjoy later. I highly recommend coming here, they are warm, inviting and very accommodating. Definitely a hidden gem

This place was a great choice for breakfast. Fantastic atmosphere and ambience and a delicious meal. The bar and bakery areas both looked great. Nice patio area and definitely a place to hang on the weekends or after work. Lots of options that I would love to try on our next visit. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Saw some items promoted on their TikTok and decided to check it out. When we got there, we found out they don't sell those items anymore. It's still fall, and within 30 days they already stopped offering their seasonal items? That was disappointing. The whole place feels a bit all over the place. It's trying to be a bar, a café, and a bakery, but it doesn't really stick the landing on any of them. I tried the fudge chew and it was hard as a rock. Thought I'd give it a chance and microwaved it at home, but it still tasted stale. We didn't get anything else since the two items we came in for weren't available. The dinner menu also seemed overpriced, so we left and went somewhere else instead. The staff didn't help much either. They were just standing around and didn't seem interested in being helpful. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for.

I'd like to start off by saying the bakery itself has some amazing treats right when you first walk in. For the speakeasy, you need to check in with the front desk who will take you to the entrance door. Really cool miner themed speakeasy with a seating chart that has you at the same table with another group. Makes it fun for interacting and meeting new people. The service itself was a bit slow and not very robust with no waters being given or checked in on. The food made it a better experience with the 46 burger it was absolutely delicious! The selection of whiskeys at the bar are also very impressive and worth taking a look at!

Thank you, Taylor! You're hands down our favorite server at Rockwells. You always take such great care of us -- I can even order my pastry from my seat! We truly appreciate the amazing service every time. Thank you, Rockwells... and thank you, Taylor!

Ask the Community - Rockwell's Cafe & Bakery

How much are their signature cakes?

You can find the pricing at rockwellsbakery.com

How come you don't let dogs on the patio? I brought my dog bc previous reviews had said they are allowed but I went there a few weeks ago and it says no pets allowed 😔

Dogs don't belong in restaurants, it's that simple. Especially a Great Dane, are you kidding? Could you have chosen a larger animal?…

Do you offer a kids menu? Is there a photo available?

Yes! Take a look at my current posted photo. In case, they have breakfast items: teddy bear pancake w slice of bacon or a sausage link OR one egg any style with bacon or sausage and fruit or toast. Lunch & dinner: grilled chicken, burger sliders (2)…

Are you featuring live music on the patio?

Yes. Check with the waiter; times and entertainment varies.

How much for an 8 inch birthday cake?

    $40

Does the staff wear gloves and use masks?

No sometimes cooks do and waitresses

Do they have a kids menu?

    Yes they do

How much is the white chocolate curl cake?

    $50

Reservations?:/ Hate waiting hours to eat.

They don't really take reservations. The exception would be if you have a large group where they would need to move tables together. No reservations for the bar.

Need a price on the choc curl cake, no strawberries, to feed 9 people?

According to OC Register, throughout the month of March, the bakery is offering a 6-inch chocolate curl cake for it's original 1987 price: $12.95. That’s about a $15 savings from the regular cake price.

The old adage "You can't judge a book by its cover," is true here. This place looks forgotten, ignored, unassuming, but produces the finest bakery items in Orange County. You enter and have to immediately get into a line. Inside, it is like a aged cafeteria of your childhood. You have to wait for a young lady who can't even look over the top of the counter because there is so much stuff piled high. She stands on tip toes to see you and you have to shout at her and point what you want. The problem is when she sees you, you are near the cash register, so you must say excuse me and walk in front of a line of people to point and shout out what you want. It is so poorly designed and complicated to order. We all endure because like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, the product is worth it. They sell the world's best Olive bread, scones, and strawberry crossants. If you survive the line, you make it to the cash register, pay, get a bag and leave. There is no where to sit. There is no internet. They shuffle you through and on to the next one. The pastry items are incredible and worth the trouble.

Absolutely phenomenal. Great flavor. The whipped cream is slightly too sweet but amazing otherwise. Love the red bean in here. There's a good mix of textures. Feels light thanks to the cream. Cream puff: 6/10. Was disappointed by this to be honest. Other pastries I've tried like the one in the photo are just okay. Nothing stand out. Customer service isn't great. It looks clean and spacious enough for a small scale tea shop. There are a-la-carte menu items (pastries, tea) and an afternoon tea menu. Price: $45 for the Royal Tea Experience package which is extremely reasonable considering what you get. There is a 90 mins max for each tea experience. They are pretty booked from what I saw. Food: For the Royal Tea Experience, each of us got: tea of choice, 5 tea sandwiches (Cucumber Dill Cream cheese, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Cranberry Turkey pinwheel, Roast Beed Arugula), 2 scones (Vanilla and Strawberry), Cream, Strawberry preserve, berries and some grapes, 3 desserts (mini muffin, Chocolate brownie, some kind of mini cake). The tea pots were a lot smaller than other places I've been to (probably enough for 1.5 cups of tea if filled to the rim). I love the heart-shaped sugar cubes, the size is just enough for a half teaspoon of sugar. They didn't have any milk for the tea set up like other places I've been to. I love the roast beef sandwich balanced flavor; the chicken one is really bland, a dash of curry powder would enhance the flavor more in my opinion; the cucumber needs to be sliced thinner as these slices are rather chunky; the scones are fine - I usually prefer my scones warm but only 1 place I know that serve it that way. The tea selection is decent, I went for Jasmine Rose. I feel that the scent and tea flavor was rather weak. There was barely any scent of each so it didn't leave a big impression on me. I want to try other ones in the future for sure. The staff was super nice to offer an extra tea bag if the flavor is too weak so I went for another bag. Service: Excellent! They were fast, courteous, and friendly. 2 staff made their rounds frequently to check on us and made sure we had enough hot water in our tea pots . Parking: This is where I docked up a star. The parking lot is shared with many businesses in the same strip mall. I came here at 10 AM on a Saturday and the whole parking lot was filled, there was no spot for me to park. My friend had to park all the way on the other side of the mall and I managed to find some parking in the back (side street). Avoid lunch time at all cost, there were cars waiting around as they couldn't find any parking. After the tea experience, we went somewhere else and upon coming back around 3 PM, half the parking lot is empty. If I would give anyone a tip on the parking time, it seems to be ideal around this time.

When the final product came out, it was a completely different color than what we had asked for. Brooke did apologize and even mentioned she could help with reimbursement, which I appreciated. The other staff member, on the other hand, did not apologize at all and acted as though the mistake was somehow our fault. I was also told I would receive a callback about the issue, but that never happened. If you want a quick pastry or dessert, this place is probably a solid choice because the products do taste good. But if you need a custom cake for an important event, I would not trust them with it again.

(Also posting on their Farmhouse Yelp because I'm not sure which is correct)…read more I visited the Amarith Cafe website under the "Bakehouse" section and saw that they offered custom decorated cupcakes. I called the Orange location to place an order, but they informed me that custom orders needed to be placed through the Garden Grove location and provided me with their contact information. When I called Garden Grove, I requested 24 funfetti-flavored cupcakes decorated with a rainbow theme. I wasn't particular about the exact design but specified that they should include rainbows or have colorful decorations. The person taking my order assured me that I would receive a call the following weekend to confirm the design. That call never came, but I assumed "rainbow" was a clear enough instruction. The week before my scheduled pickup, I called to confirm my order and requested to add six more cupcakes. I specifically asked, "These will be rainbow, right?" and was told yes. On the pickup day, my husband retrieved the cupcakes, but the six additional ones I had ordered the previous week were missing. Staff had to quickly add them that morning, and while understandable, they ended up being vanilla instead of funfetti. However, none of the cupcakes--neither the original 24 nor the additional six--had any rainbow decorations or color at all. Additionally, the boxes provided for the cupcakes have a perforated middle designed to keep them in place, but it was flimsy and sagged in the box, causing nearly all of the cupcakes to fall over during transport to the party. While the cupcakes themselves tasted good, I was disappointed by the order confusion, lack of decoration, and the fact that they arrived smashed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.
