Came here in the morning after a good Trader Joe's run nearby! This was one of the very few restaurants that are open early in the morning and I'm glad I came! The restaurant was home-y, cozy and rustic with an American feel to the restaurant. They had booths and tables set up! The service was good and food was great! I can't recall the names on the top of my head, but we did get a combo meal with a biscuit and gravy and an omelette with ham! Additionally, we got a burrito with sausage inside! Both items were on their breakfast deals on the small stand provided on the table! I definitely would recommend this for anyone who loves an American style breakfast! started coming here around the time they first opened up. their food is delicious and fresh every time. they have mostly standard diner fare with certain additional specials (eggs benedict with bacon and avocado, machaca and eggs). We ordered portuguese sausage and eggs, turkey sausage and eggs, and a side banana pancake. Portuguese Sausage and Eggs- This comes with eggs your way, your choice of potato, and your choice of bread. I got scambled eggs which were nice and fluffy. Their house potatoes were fried crisp and loaded with yummy seasoning. My choice of bread was biscuit and gravy was hearty and the gravy was rich and creamy. The portuguese sausage was a wonderful mix of savory and sweet. Such a filling meal! Turkey Sausage and Eggs- The turkey sausage was fried nicely and it was quite flavorful for being the healthy option. I cannot rave enough about their savory and crisp house potatoes and scrambled eggs. Side Banana Pancake- This was a sweet end to the meal. The pancakes are fluffy with a generous amount of caramelized bananas. They give you a huge pancake too so you might need to share if you also ordered a savory entree like I did. First time going there was on Mother's Day. The staff are incredibly nice and food was excellent. I had the eggs Benedict with avocado and bacon. It was probably the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. Very disappointed. There was ZERO seasoning on the gravy (country fried steak and biscuits). I wish that I had seen the review about it being just milk and flour before I went- there's no salt, no pepper and no sausage in it - NOTHING. Same for the home fries- no salt, no pepper, no onion, no seasonings - NOTHING. They were cooked well, but totally bland. Saw this place on yelp and decided to try it. It's only been open a couple of weeks so it's going to take a while to get clientele. The place is very nice and clean and everyone in the place that served us were great. It was very hard to choose what to eat as they have quite a bit. I had an omelette with mushrooms, sausage and cheese, came with toast of biscuit, excellent. But the best part were the potatoes. My husband isn't into potatoes, but boy did he like these they're very thin and crispy. He had the breakfast burrito and said it was really good. I also ordered a cup of fruit. I had the coffee and it was good. I just wish they had bigger mugs easier for me to handle. The bathroom was nice and clean And the atmosphere was very nice. I had Eggs Benedict with Bacon and Avocado with house-made Hollandaise sauce - yummy!!! It came with their house-made fried potatoes (plain, no onions or peppers) that were nice and crunchy. My hubbie had a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and crinkle-cut fries. (He said it was delicious, but ask for extra cheese!) Coffee is strong and is a dark roast. Lots of bold flavor. Today we went to Egg Haus again. We were there three months ago when they first opened. During that try I only ordered the biscuit and gravy to test the quality of the food. I ordered the Denver omelette and my husband ordered a special they call country boy, biscuits and gravy with pork sausage patties. Tucked away in a strip mall/shopping center is Egg Haus, a recently opened breakfast and lunch spot that is serving up delicious sandwiches and the fluffiest, most delicious golden pancakes! so my wife and I went here this morning because we read about it on Nextdoor. We are trying to save money and we don't do much for ourselves anymore but the one luxury we allow ourselves is a nice breakfast every Sunday morning after our.walk- we live down in old town so this was a little bit of a drive. We usually walk to somewhere like the filling station, which is fantastic, but we decided to give this place a chance.. We walked in about five after seven and it was completely empty, which was surprising because what we read on Nextdoor was pretty positive. We had a lot of rain yesterday so that might be why. Anyway, they were very pleasant and greeted us and we sat down. Menus looked great and prices look reasonable so we went ahead and ordered. I ordered Denver omelette. My wife ordered eggs Benedict. We had a cuppa coffee and I had an orange juice. .. that was the order. Keep that in mind for later. The food was very good. The portions were decent sized not huge but certainly good. The home fries were very tasty. My wife said that one of the eggs wasn't poached properly in her eggs Benedict.. The yoke was kind of a letdown... but otherwise it was very good. All in all we were pretty pleased with everything until we got the bill. So for one Denver omelette, one order of eggs, Benedict 2 cups of coffee and one orange juice. The bill was a little over $55. Yeah... $55 I was a little surprised by that too So surprised that I asked her to bring back the check so that I could look at why that was because I hadnt Checked it initially... So here's the scam they're running- A cup of coffee they're charging $4.50 A glass of orange juice is $6.50 So basically, when you factor in the tip of a very normal modest breakfast at this place cost you about $70 for two people. Very good food! Having said that, If this place was open late, this IS a college town after all and nothing is open late, like 24/7, it could be THE SPOT!
