Finally, ST has stepped up its game!…read more We just visited this location after a pause. They've modified the menu. Added another size option for the wine by the glass serving. In the past it used to look more like a generous tasting pour. They now have glass bottled still water. In other words, they definitely evolved. Claudia is a phenomenal server, she has checked in multiple times and provided superb service. We are very pleased with general transformation of this place and we will definitely come here more often. My wish list is more pescarian options on menu that are not shellfish.

We made one, just in case. The inside is nice but not pretentious feeling for a steakhouse. It looked like there was a lot of seating at the bar open - might try that out if we come back. We were celebrating our anniversary, so that was noted on our little reservation card & our server acknowledged this - but nothing was done to really wow us or make us feel like we were celebrating until the very end of our meal (more on this in a bit). The food was pretty good - we both got some sort of meat. I got the prime rib and I was seriously missing some sort of horseradish sauce. The cut of meat though was very good and not super fatty, so extra points for that. The portions are very generous, so we didn't have room for dessert. After we paid, our server remembered it was our anniversary and offered us champagne.. it was nice, but a total afterthought. I was SO full that I really couldn't drink it. Lastly, the parking. The lot is shared with all of the other businesses in the mall area, so just beware. It might be better to park behind and walk through the path.

Greetings: My kids…read moreand I love sushi, but it is far from a favorite for other members of our family. Tokio Sake is our go-to sushi favorite whenever the stars align for us go scratch that culinary itch. I am by no means a sushi expert, but the freshness and flavors at Tokio Sake are spot on around every visit. Our favorites for each visit include their amazing salad (and the dressing!!!) to share, calamari, and beef dumplings. Each bite a reminder that Tokio Sake chefs know exactly what to do in the kitchen. Rolls are sensational. Mainstream offerings are on point, my personal fave is the Tokio Dragon. Delicate balance across many flavors with a delightful, spicy zip on the finish. Service is a strong suit, as is the decor. Tables, booths, and semi-private eating rooms give you plenty of options two to twelve in your party. Deer Park is a booming part of the northwest suburbs and Tokio Sake stands out as one of my personal favorites each and every time. Until next time...tk

I got the white chocolate bread pudding and their brand coffee . Coffee was fine, standard. The atmosphere was slightly busy and pleasant surroundings. However, I will not be repeating the dessert again. Served without warning that it was burn your tongue hot. Really. Had to have ice water to the rescue. I let it sit and still, hot! so I cut it up to cool it and I have to say, not very flavorful and totally smooshy texture. Like I said, sometimes we make bad choices and someone made one on adding that to the menu. And it was white chocolate so I'm not sure why they overwhelmed it w the dark chocolate sprinklers which overwhelmed any lightness to it. Oh well, other than that, Biaggis is pretty ok. Portion was just right. For dessert, shared the tiramisu and it was perfect with their house coffee. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. Dined in for our final meal before welcoming a new child and everything was perfect…read more We've eaten food from Gianni's many times and have dined in one other time, but this time seemed to be the best. Kyle was our server and he was excellent. His attitude was positive and he took time to converse but was also quick with his service. The server often makes the experience and Kyle did his part well! As for the food, we started with a half plate of grilled calamari which was more than enough for two people. The calamari was excellent tasting and perfectly cooked. The sauce was tasty and great for dipping your bread in (you get warm toasty bread at the start of your meal with a plate of seasoned olive oil for dipping). Next, we split an entree of Chicken Franchese which was more than enough food for two people...especially after the calamari. They split the meal into two plates in the kitchen, without us asking, which was really nice. The chicken was tender and flavorful. We substituted angel hair pasta and used the sauce from the chicken instead of marinara. It was excellent. We had some food left and Kyle boxed it carefully for us right at the table (I typically don't like when they take your food elsewhere to box it. I typically do it myself but this was good). Prices have crept up over the years but portions are huge and with service like we had, it makes it feel a bit more worth it. The restaurant is small and a bit cramped inside. There's typically an early crowd that thins out around 6:30 pm. You may have to wait a bit to be seated if you don't make reservations. Hopefully they move into a bigger spot in the mall they're in to make it a bit less packed. Two bathrooms are single occupant and clean but there can be a wait to get in. Gianni's is an excellent restaurant with a great team. You should check it out.
