a small bowl of sake and a small bowl of sake

It is a lovely place for dinner - it is cozy and atmosphere transforms you to Japan. It has a sushi bar when you can see the sushi chefs meticulously preparing the sushi. The staffs are always friendly and ready to answer questions you have on the menu. Let's talk about the foods! We enjoyed their sushi here. The quality of their sushi was one of the best in the area. While the menu didn't specify gluten-free options, the wait staff was able to help to identify what modifications could be done (where it was possible). We haven't tried their cooked food yet, but for sure will be back to try more.

Really nicely crafted sushi. Strongly recommend the lemon sushi - forget the name. You eat it whole with the lemon rind. Delicious!! The sushi chefs put a lot of work into their craft here, and it's nice to be able to see them working on it behind the counter if you dine indoors. There is outdoor seating available as well, but we chose to sit inside because it was chilly.

First time visiting Tokio Sake and I am impressed! Food was high quality for cost. Presentation was good for takeout too. I had the chirashi bowl which contained a huge variety of sashimi. The star was the crispy tuna roll which my husband and I split. Only complaint was that we did not receive an order confirmation until the next morning so we had to call in to see when it would be ready.

    half eaten i forgot!

my friend zoë and I went in at 7:30pm not realizing they closed at 9pm. Tokio Sake was so accommodating we were all alone and our waitress was so sweet. We shared a pot of their green tea to drink which was so delicious i've had too many starbucks green teas in my past this one was a fresh reminder. For food we had the california roll, spicy salmon, philadelphia, shrimp tempura, edamame, potstickers, and miso soup. Everything was pretty good and affordable! Their seats were also super comfy with little pillows on their benches

Photos are of the Gingertini, a must have for the wife every time we come here. The Deer Park Crazy roll and the spicy scallop roll, and then the Sombrero appetizer. We came here on a Saturday night around 6 and were promptly seated, friendly staff as usual, and the food comes out very quick...probably less than 15 minutes after ordering. There is a nice variety of cocktail and sake options as well

I'd give Tokio Sake 10 stars, but the rating system doesn't go that high :) Awesome food, fresh, consistent! Every time I return I am confident it'll be just as good, if not better than the time before. exquisite tastes Pictured: Amaebi Sake (Fresh) Maguro (Bluefin) Hotate

A slightly different angle of the crispy spicy tuna roll which I covet.

Excellent sushi. We picked up and ate at home. Our favorite specialty roll is Ocean Drive.

Thick, unapologetic cuts of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, none of that wispy nonsense you push around to make the plate look full. This was real. Cold, clean, cut with intention. The shrimp snapped. The tobiko popped. Even the tamago had that slight sweetness. And the kimchi stew? A total left hook. Loud, fiery, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. The broth had depth, funk, heat, a slow burn that didn't fade but stayed with you like a story you're glad you heard. If you want a lunch that slaps you awake in the best way, this is your place.

I had the "SUSHI & SASHIMI", which is 6 pcs sushi, 6 pcs sashimi & california or spicy tuna roll. This comes with a soup or salad; both not GF, but they made dressing for my salad which was really nice. The spicy roll is not gluten free, because of the spicy sauce, however they made me a GF California roll. They completely accommodated my needs and I really appreciate that. My plate was $35, but I think that is completely reasonable for sushi-grade fish. My husband absolutely loved his ramen too (not GF). The restaurant ambience itself was very calm despite them being very busy (a lot of take out orders). So glad we tried this place on the whim!

This is VITAL when serving sushi so that all the ingredients/flavors are properly highlighted. Ordered an assortment of raw and cooked fish and it got better with every bite. The quality of tempura is crazy good, crispy, light, not oily. Vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the fish wow... just go. We also ordered a side salad with the homemade, house ginger dressing. This dressing is a flavor bomb and was so refreshing yet deep with flavor. You can also purchase the dressing separately it's that good haha! The owner was present and gave me a warm greeting and offered great recommendations. BTW, dine-in customers get a complementary miso soup which was also very delicious! I am passionate about eating a local businesses that serve GREAT food, trust I am getting no dime raving about this gem, haha. There are lots of seating options, intimate corners, spaces watching the sushi makers, and a dining area for those going on a date, hang-out, or party! Prices were incredibly fair too! I really do treat this as a takeout only place. As usual, my food was ready on time if not early. The roll servings portion is very nice and generous. I got a hand roll for the first time as well, which was generous and delicious. For the prices of the sushi rolls here versus what's also in the nearby vicinity this is definitely worth it. I do enjoy coming here for the sushi for sure. Will definitely keep on ordering from here.

I especially loved the kimchi chicken rice, although it was more of a flavorful fried rice with a nice spicy kick. The Bears sushi was also a winner, that thick avocado layer and juicy tempura shrimp were incredible. I also tried the Bento Box D - chicken teriyaki, rice, veggies, California rolls, salad, and tofu soup. The teriyaki was bursting with flavor! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. The place itself is tiny - only two tables - but the staff were super friendly and attentive. They were really lovely to chat with! One small thing: the guy working there could probably use an apron, as his shirt and pants looked a little food-splattered. And a bit of a clean-up would do wonders - the curtains leading to the kitchen were dusty, and the TVs could use a wipe-down too. Overall, despite the minor cleanliness issues, I would definitely recommend Osaku! The food is incredible, the portions are generous, and the service is great. Give it a try!
