Glad I didn't read some of these reviews before I took advantage of an awesome deal that David was promoting and not one bad thing to say about the experience. This is for the dog wash and not for boarding. I have never boarded my dog but he definitely a bath every now and then. David met me when I walked in for my dog wash. The place, was clean and quiet. He was super welcoming and friendly. I thought I was going into self wash for the $10 special but it turns out to be a $10 wash to have him wash my dog! How could I say no to such a sweet deal? That deal has passed but they do have a $20 per month special for unlimited dog washes. If you have a dog that needs regular baths, phone this is a sweet option. My boy came back happy and clean. So...I really always give places the benefit of the doubt and have written one other negative review in my life, but this ended up being a negative experience over all. We used them 2 years ago and they picked Mollie, our golden retriever, up every day and brought her back as well. At the end of that stay they told me they only do that for member dogs, so for this visit, we took an Uber to drop her and pick her up every day for 3 days. Upon arrival the first day, the front door was open and we went in there. When we returned at the end of the day, the front door was locked. So I rang the bell. No one answered. I called, no one answered. I walked around to the side door and it was unlocked, so I went inside and the nice lady at the front desk apologized, so I chalked that up to me just not knowing the process. Mollie came back with an injury between her toes that day that I didn't notice when we picked her up, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let it go. The second day the same process occurred when I came to pick her up - front door locked, rang the bell, got no response, so I called with no answer, then went to the side door. There was another customer picking up her dog from the side door. I assumed this, again, was just part of the process. Went in and the lady at the front desk apologized again for not unlocking the front door. 100% forgiven for me, and I took Mols back to the hotel and she was good (a little thirsty but that is normal for her not to drink at daycare much). Day 3 - front door was locked when we arrived so I walked Mollie around to the side door and they took her back to play. It was her last day at daycare this time, so I asked them to bathe her and the person at the reception asked if I wanted her nails clipped, so I said sure. Cut to the pick up, I went straight to the side door, bc I assumed it was open and didn't want to repeat the whole locked door then ring bell then call with no answer then go to the side door to pick her up. There was a man loading his Miata (silver) who came out the side door. I held the door for him as I went in and he informed me the process was to go to the front door. I told him that it had been locked the past two days upon pickup, so I just came straight to the side door instead. We walked into the lobby and I had already forgotten about his lecture bc I am not easily frustrated. But he couldn't let it go - proceeded to tell me they let dogs loose in the lobby (maybe not the best idea) and they don't want them to get out. I told him I understood and had followed that process before and would follow it going forward. He apparently charged my cc without telling me the amount and said he was going to get her. The super nice front desk girl brought her to me and we went out the "correct" door. When we got back home Mollie was licking her other paw - not the one injured on Tuesday. Turns out they quicked her in 4 nails while trimming them (like cutting your human nails so short they bleed, pics attached l), which made me question the toe injury from Tuesday as well. And they didn't tell me they accidentally cut her nails too short. Truth is, letting me know on pickup is all they would have had to do and I would have been fine in spite of the injury - since the reason I don't trim her nails myself is I quicked one of my first golden's nails on accident and swore I would let the pros handle it from there on out. All in all, I should probably give them one star, but I know these reviews can totally affect business and maybe this was just a bad week for them. I am not saying don't use them bc other reviews are positive, but there is a possibility that it is not a good experience. read more

I left my 9-year-old dog, weighing in at 19 lbs., with Rocky Mountain K9 in Park City, Utah for 10 nights. I provided Teddy's bed and his food, which contained his medications. Each bag was labeled with the date and the day of his stay, as well as whether it was a morning or afternoon feeding. His food was arranged in order in a box that I left. there were extra bags of food, provided in case of an emergency, and I requested that these be returned to me along with all the empty plastic bags, which I reuse. His is food was not fed to him in a sequential manner. Therefore, his medication schedule was disrupted. This aggravated his allergies. I had provided a sheet of instructions detailing his needs. Why was this not followed? Why was he not given his food in the proper sequence? Why were none of the empty bags returned to me? When I came to pick him up I presented with the wrong bed and then staff had to go find his. This was in the same shopping bag I had brought it in, probably never used. Did he use the other bed during his stay? Was the dog who used the bed before mine did not well? Teddy got a bath the day that I picked him up. As I put him in the car, I noted that his rear end was covered in dried feces. I brought him back in to show the person who helped me check him out. She first asked the dog what he had done, as if it was his fault. She then apologized saying that a better job would done be next time. The kennel cough that he showed symptoms of a day after returning home, morphed into pneumonia. Hospitalization was necessary as it appeared to be resistant to antibiotics immediately obtained and then augmented. I am angry that the dog suffered so much at the hands of people I was told to trust. The owner called and apologized, then blamed the dog for probably being sick when he came in for boarding. As a side note, I realized from the bill that I was charged 3% each day of the ten days for using a credit card. There were only four charges posted to my card, not ten. This feels like fraud. read more

I was nervous about overnight boring my two dogs here, as we have had poor experiences at other facilities in the area. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the facility and the staff's level of professionalism. It made me feel a lot of relief knowing Dr. Prior is so involved and one call away if my dogs got sick or injured. I loved receiving daily text photos of how my dogs were doing. I love all the other "add-ons" they offer. Great location, off 40 & 80. The price for overnight boarding was very digestible/competitive. We love taking our dog to Rocky Mountain K9! We have used their boarding services multiple times and they are always very accommodating and easy to work with. We have a Bernese Mountain dog with separation anxiety who now seems to love going! We also recently used their grooming services and boy was I impressed. We have taken him to other places before, but here they went above and beyond. It's obvious they are experienced working with large breeds and turned our boy's matted dirty coat silky and smooth. read more

Today was the first time, I had planned to leave my dogs overnight to board. My dog's love going to daycare here. But, I was still nervous to leave them. Me not them. I appreciate the staff being flexible and re-assuring. Right before the Resort was set to close, I received a call from the cabin manager at our vacation location. The park service closed down all service land until 9/16. I immediately called to see if I could get my dogs? With one minute to spare Danielle answered the phone and said "yes, she would wait for me, so I could grab the pups tonight." I was very appreciative of this kind gesture. I tried this place 3 times, and my dog came back sick 2 out of 3. The first time was for 3 night stay, he came home with horrible diarrhea that lasted 5 days and severely dehydrated. I called them and they said it is common bc the snow was melting and it's bacteria in the snow. The next stay was for 3 days, he came home with dried poop all over his fur and this was with a exit bath add on. And our last stay was for 4 nights and by far the worst. We picked him up and he was lethargic, vomiting and they showed us pictures of pools of blood in his kennel. They didn't notify us he was ill and he was in need of immediate emergency care. We rushed him straight to vet and the vet said this was a life or death situation. read more

Although this place seems nice and professional do not be deceived. My dog came home with something seriously wrong with his eye like it had been traumatized in someway and deathly afraid when I raised my hand. He went in without a fear in the world of people but came out flinching. You do the math. I wish so badly that they had video there so we could make them pull the tapes to see how they treat animals. We had our little Penny (11 month old vizsla) stay at doggy daycare here all day saturday and for a half-day on Sunday. She had suchhhh a great time. I came her from a recommendation from my veterinarian Dr. Prior (Park City Animal Clinic). This is his new facility I feel they are the best! I take both my dogs here. The staff is amazing Dave and Kelly are so great with my dogs and are very knowledgeable. What I love most is this place is not over run with dogs. They only allow so many animals a day so it is not a mad house. Facility is extremely clean and easy to find. I don't understand where the bad reviews are coming from here. I kept my dog here for the day when I wanted to spend the day doing "non-dog" activities. He went in happy and left happy. I only write reviews if they are 1 or 5 stars...1 star reviews to warn people and 5 star reviews for places that deserve to be acknowledged for being exceptional! DO NOT BOARD YOUR CATS HERE! When I've taken my cat to other boarding places, he came home doing really well...probably because everyone loves my cat for being so friendly and so they gave him lots of attention. He loves people and attention. Not the same when I brought him home from this place. He was clearly traumatized and wouldn't eat for nearly a week! I suspect they put him in his pet room and didn't do anything but throw food his way, which he wouldn't eat from the stress. Prior to leaving him they said they interacted with all the cats, fed them, played with them, and pet them at least twice a day...but since the person that used to take care of their cats is no longer there, I don't think the cats got any attention at all. My cat needs human interaction...but since the cats are in an area away from people, they obviously didn't spend any time interacting with the cats! read more

Can't say enough good things about Park City Pet Resort. We were visiting from Los Angeles and the house we rented Christmas week in The Canyons didn't allow dogs. Since we were headed to Colorado after Christmas we needed to have our THREE dogs close by. Our dogs board frequently, so we know what to look for in a good facility. Everything here was great from the relatively new and very clean facility, to the friendly staff. Long story short, we picked our dogs up a week later and all was good. They didn't even have that familiar "kennel smell" due to cleanliness of the place. I'm sure if they could talk they'd tell us they "had a great time." Not sure if we'll be back in the area but if we are this is where our dogs will go. read more

I can't say enough great things about Park City Pet Resort. We adopted a dog that we later found out was dog aggressive in a variety of situations. We have boarded him many times and brought him for day care. They created just the right environment for him and were patient as we went through training him and evolving his behavior. He loves being there, and they love having him. They now say he is the most improved and gets along with all the dogs. We always interact with Dave and it is evident he loves his job and thoroughly cares about every pet. read more

This is by far the worst experience my dog and i have ever endured while boarding him for only a few hours!!!. i dropped off my friendly, loving dog without a problem but when i came to pick him up i was in shock. a man aggressively handed me my dog and told me, "he was so bad that on a scale from 1 to 10 my dog was a 15". excuse me? when i asked him why he said it was because he was barking. UMM HELLO?! YOU OWN A DOG BOARDING FACILITY! in case you haven't noticed dogs bark! they are animals, descended from wolves. he then told me that he was no longer welcome at Park City Pet Resort. this is an insult to me, my dog, and everyone else who is treated as horribly as this man treated his costumer. this man would not stop telling me about how my dog is never welcome back, how he was a horrible visiter, and to take him away asap. i had to cut him off before he lost his breath telling me about how "bad" my dog was. when i came home, my dog drank three full bowls of water. do they not have fresh water for the dogs to drink in this facility? they failed to notice that the dog was probably barking because he was so thirsty. i found it absolutely ridiculous that this man works at a dog boarding facility and cannot handle a dog barking... aprobably because of failure to do his job well. if i knew the name of this man i would expose his identity, but sadly he wouldn't disclose. i do not recommend whatsoever. if i could give 0 stars, believe me i would. happy new year. read more

The management, Dave, doesn't like dogs, and he likes dog owners even less. Our dog was kept in a small room on a concrete floor, her bedding that we had brought with her inaccessible. She was exhausted and frazzled when we picked her up. Dave has a short temper and got irritated with us three times in ten minutes, even though we were new customers, and you'd think he'd want to make a good impression. My dog sat in a 3x5 kennel from the moment dropped off till 5pm (without being let out to the bathroom) for being "aggressive." They didn't even have the courtesy to call us and let us know what was happening. Other groomers and kennels have always complimented our dogs behavior, simply put these guys don't have the knowledge to care for dogs. When we arrived he couldn't get out of there fast enough. It was our first stay in the overnight resort and I am very impressed. I asked for a tour and it was so clean and comfortable. No dog or cat odors. The caretakers were very polite. The best part is that the dogs were allowed to stay together and socialize with other dogs outside. I was worried because my older dog doesn't socialize well but the team knew how to handle it and he actually went out and did great with the other dogs. The kids favorite part is that you can watch them 24hrs/day on the camera. I can't say enough thanks for a worry free weekend away from our fur babies. read more

​I recently had to board my two dogs during the day. Both of my dogs are very uncomfortable around strange people and strange dogs. I was thrilled to find out that Jenn now works at Park City Pet Resort. One of my dogs recognized Jenn from her previous place of employment. The other (and more fearful one) did not know Jenn. I was so happy to watch my dogs outside with Jenn via an app on my phone. She sat and let them come to her. My most fearful dog not only sat next to her and encouraged Jenn to pet him, but he sat on her lap. He also play bowed to a dog on the other side of the fence - something I'd never seen him do before (normally he would bark and lunge). Jenn has a special way with dogs and it was a pleasure to watch how relaxed they were with her. Thanks Park City Pet Resort for adding Jenn to your team!! read more

Great place! We spent President's Day weekend skiing in park city and while our hotel was dog-friendly, we wanted our two dogs to have a chance to get some activity during the day. Oscar and Stanley, our pups that don't go to doggie daycare often, spent three days at Park City Pet Resort daycare and loved it! They were tired at the end of the day but always ready to go back the next morning (a true sign that they had a good time there). Dave and his team were fantastic. We noted that he brought in additional staff when they were taking in more dogs so we're sure Oscar and Stanley got some personal attention. Thanks so much!! read more

The web site states the facility is staffed 24/7. That is not true. We called the facility well before our scheduled trip to find out about the facility and making reservations. We made a reservation online and when we arrived there was no one on site a dog was barking. We made three phone calls without any response waited thirty minutes then decided we would check into our accommodations and return later. When we came back the equine vet was there and helped us check our pet in. We thought all was well until Dave called us very early the next morning. He stated our dog was barking stating he got two phone calls and threatened to kick her out. He accused us of entering the facility which still puzzles me. I listened to his ranting until he calmed down. Still not sure why he was upset. He finally agreed to let our pet stay. We called during the time we planned to stay to see how everything was going and Dave answered the phone. He wanted to review what he perceived were all of the problems. We asked our questions and got off the phone as quickly as possible. We would never recommend this facility to any one. Dave is rude and does not know how to deal with people. read more

I wish there was a way to give NO STARS! One of the worst experiences of my life ....We were lied to: told our dog had her own suite: she was put in with two other dogs. We looked on the cameras and could not find her seeing she is pee pad trained we figured it would be easy to pick out her suite to check on her but she was NOT given her pad! She was an absolute mess when we got her, took her that same night because the owner was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE And DISRESPECTFUL when we went to facility at 7:30 ( when we were told ALL the dogs were let out for the last time at night) NO ONE was letting them out and the owner ..when I knocked in his door after calling the phone number and ringing the bell at the facility a dozen times! Came at me, telling me I was trespassing, I wanted to know where my dog was , seeing she had Never left us before and we were from out of state... After arguing with him for several minutes He finally agreed to give her back to us : he went into the kennel to try and cover his tracks ... He took her out of he suite with the other two dogs and put her in a 2x2 cage with a pee pad UNDER the grate and yelled "See! She has a pee pad!" She was suppose to be in the advertised 4x8 suite we were paying for and if anyone knows anything about dogs the pee pad is suppose to be on the ground! He had been lying to us collecting 3 x the money for the one concrete kennel .. Our baby had been laying on a concrete floor!! With no way to relief herself! I left all her pads, and food! NEVER EVER WILL I GO NEAR that place again!! Avoid it!! Horrific experience for me and my poor dog!! STAY AWAY!!! The pretty exterior is a just a facade! read more

Dr. Pryor should be embarrassed that his staff is not helpful, unfriendly, unkind, rude and unable to manage the pets in their care. I would give this facility a "zero" although my pets were returned to me in good health. However, they were missing their harnasses and collars when I got them back. We will not be returning to this facility. read more
