There is one doctor that treats you like an adult - I wouldn't feel the need to write this review but today I scheduled a Telehealth appointment with Dr Christy Kleinke. I have issues with my tonsils (I have my whole life) and this week have been fighting some sort of infection. Green mucus, no coughing, but my voice is gone. Tomorrow I am supposed to speak briefly at an event - not counting on it but I thought I'd try to help myself. Before I could even begin to explain my situation, this doctor was extremely rude to me. I inquired about a steroid to help my tonsils with swelling and an antibiotic. She immediately said (I'm telling you within 5 seconds of speaking to her) "Well, I'm the doctor and I'm not prescribing that." Excuse me? I didn't beg, I didn't demand, I just asked about this and she comes out swinging with that? I asked her a why she was saying that (and explaining in my broken voice I'm not trying to be combative I am just genuinely wondering why she is saying this, and she says "Well you're going to have to come in, what do you want? Swabbed?" to which I politely reply "I want to do whatever I need to do to help myself". She said "Well, we're at lunch from 12-1 so you can come at 1:00" and is ready to end the call. I ask her which office - etc. to which she continues to speak to me like I'm some sort of idiot until the call ends. There are two floors at this office. Was this a stupid thing to ask? Is it out of the question for me to try to help myself AT MY DOCTOR'S OFFICE? Gross. Dr. Kleinke, you're gross. I know you're a doctor but if you want to talk to people like their children go work at a daycare. read more

WORST DOCTOR OFFICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I went in for my annual physical in January. The main reason being, to get my scripts refilled for a full 12 months. This NEVER happended!!! EVERY SINGLE MONTH I have to send a request to have my script filled. WTF?! What's the point of having a primary care physician?! My Gynocologist will send in my scripts for a year so I don't have to deal with this BS!!!! Per the Office Policy manager, "I'm not a good fit for their office." read more

The office and office staff are fine. I absolutely LOVE my Doctor. That being said.... My doctor is new to the office and if you want/need to make an appointment, plan on being on hold for well over a half hour. This could easily be rectified if they would simply add Dr Benage to the list of physicians online. They allow you to book Dr appointments and also send your Dr messages. When your Dr isn't in the system, that option is USELESS!!!! I first saw Dr Benage a month ago. She is STILL NOT listed online. How long does it take to get a Doctor added to the system?! This is ridiculous to me!! I now understand why the majority of their clients are over 65 years of age. Anyone younger doesn't have the time/patience to sit and wait on the phone to make an appointment!! read more

iv Been going to Rocky Mountain for a good 10 years. I feel it's time for a review. The medical team I usually see (Diferdinando, Tanya &Gwen) are always outstanding with awesome customer service to go with medical.....anything medical. This is the most terrible experience at a doctors office I've ever had. I've been sitting here for over an hour and have not been seen. They have said 5 more minutes to me 7 different times. I am sick and the staff isn't caring. The nurse told me that I didn't know my height and I must be wrong. How can a 45 year old woman not know their height?! read more

I'll start off by saying I love the PA Dylan. He is the best. Truly listens and makes you a partner in your health. The reason I'm only giving this place 3 stars is because their billing department is terrible. Charging me for co-pays when my PCP copay is zero, refusing to help when claims are denied. There was a young lady at the front desk who was very rude. I was confused on what to do and asked her what I needed to do to sign in and she exclaimed she was busy but still 'helped'. Then when I offered to wait she said she was communicating with her coworker and "is that okay with you" with a rudeness I've never encountered here. Been going here for 10 years. Front desk is always nice and accommodating. PA's Dylan, Shannon, and ThuyAn are the doctors I have interacted with and they've all be great. Personable and to the point without rushing you out. They make you feel heard and won't let you sit with a problem for months or years on medication. Worst office staff ever. From the very beginning they were incredibly rude to me and to other patients. Refused to send records to specialists, even though had 6 months to do so. Refilling prescriptions was a nightmare and would take numerous calls. They never answer their phones and every time you called you were on hold for at least 8-10 minutes. Did not have working patient portal. Orders were never done right to get labs done. Staff member lied about problematic interaction with her and I had to get their partner SCL Health's vice president involved to take care of issues. I now go to an SCL Health office. RMPC still refuses to send my records. Providers were decent, but not worth the trouble of dealing with the staff's poor customer service. Even the lab person there (who is employee of another company) said they were always rude and incompetent. read more

Disgusted and Disappointed. I called this morning to get seen for an allergic reaction that made me break out in hives. They set everything up and made an appointment for me for tomorrow but they called back this afternoon and told me that they're canceling my appointment because I haven't been there in three years and am "not an established patient". I haven't been there for three years because when I went three years ago they made me feel like I was dumb for going to the doctors when I was healthy and asked me why I even bothered making an appointment. Now they're denying me care when I actually need it. Honestly so disgusted. Love RM Primary Care. I have great confidence in physicians & staff during in-person visits. Their telephones are well-staffed. And the telephone staff are great at fielding questions, consulting with provider, and calling back with answer. There is another primary care practice 15 miles from here, where a patient must endure 30 minutes or more of recorded messages, leave a voice message, then wait for hours to receive a call back, if they receive a call back. I've been going here for years and absolutely love thuyan but one of the MAs is EXTREMELY rude. My husband took his daughter in today and my mom met with them to pick my son up. The MA came out and yelled at my mom that "her grandson is waiting for her to pick him up" my step daughter's appointment was in 10 minutes and this lady was so rushed and rude. Told my mom that she's "trying to get the appointment over with" it's an older lady. I want to say her name is Marsha or something along those lines. But for the years I have been going there, she has ALWAYS been rude. Like everyone is inconveniencing her and she hates her job and life. She is clearly a miserable old woman taking everything out of clients. Do better Rocky Mountain and fire this lady for her unbelievably rude behavior! My husband and I have been going here since we moved here March of 2019. I've had Thuy An Le-- PA and she has been loving to have as a doc. She's caring and takes her time. She doesn't make me feel rushed and makes me feel comfortable when I share with her what's going on. My husband has been seeing Dr. Vela Brol, and he raves him every time he has a visit with him. Arrived a couple of minutes before my appointment. They had a big sign that I needed to stay in my car until I was called. I was trying to call but my ATT cell service had one bar. I was frantically trying to get information from my phone. When I finally succeed, then I called them and they said to walk in. I did. The receptionist could not find me in the system. I was told they canceled my appointment and that I was a no-show. Guess you should not have two signs at the entrance that do not apply and treat your patients like the doctor's time is certainly more important than yours. What a waste of time. read more

I feel sorry for the Doctors and PA's at this facility to try and get new patients and keep existing patients because working with the administrative staff is a nightmare and as a result I have finally decided after years of coming to this Doctor's office to leave. It is just too frustrating to get anyone to call you back when you leave a message and don't even try to or want to talk to the PA/Dr. because you will only be able to talk with the PA's/Dr. assistant. Good luck getting an appointment unless you have 30 minutes to sit on hold. Also, when I hand delivered my request for records form the administrative staff asked me if I would like them mailed or if I would like to pick them up. I told them I would pick them up but after waiting a week with no call, I called them and they said a third party will be mailing the records to me. Clearly there is no point in providing instructions. I would not recommend this office. read more

Dr.Ives came highly recommended to me, so I decided to make an appointment. I needed a general checkup and was having problems sleeping- how hard could this be, right? Apparently very! Dr.Ives has a specific schedule, working only certain days and times. Not convenient -but whatever. So, I take off early from work and wait an HOUR and 1/2 before she entered the room. This was with an appointment being made - thank the heavens I was not just a walk-in. She comes in and asks me some off the wall- non related questions and says I need blood work done.... for sleeping problems? So, she sends me in another room to have the blood drawn and says she would be back right after to complete the consultation. Once the blood work was done I was told she had moved to the next patient and to make another appointment !!!! WTF ? I could not believe it. I was like HELL NO I am not paying another copay when she should have handled this now. I followed up by calling the Office Manager and she was no help. After explaining the situation she pretty much said "OK, what do you want me to do about it." My advise would be ... If you have plenty of money laying around for copays, a few extra hours during random parts of the week and have no real medial concern- see Dr. Ives.. read more

I have been seeing Dr Ives for many years. Occasionally Dr Way and another physician that retired years ago due to medical issues (forgot her name). I have found Dr Ives to be thorough and incredibly compassionate to my individual needs. I have recommended Dr Ives to many friends and family and would do so again in a heartbeat. Medical offices often get backed up. It's the nature of the profession. Anyone who cannot understand backups occur is just not being realistic. The staff communicates well when they are behind and how far. You then have the option to stay or reschedule. I feel badly that there was a negative one star review for such a fantastic and caring physician. Reviews about running behind do not accurately rate the quality of care. I hope reviewers are considering carefully that negative comments hurt a providers ability to earn a living. I'm sure the writer executes her job with perfection every day as how else could that negative review be written? Looking forward to buying her book on perfection. Should be a great read. I retired from RMPC and working with Dr. Ives this past year and love this field, taking care of all the patients and building so many wonderful relationships over the last 8 years. I can honestly say in all the time as a patient before getting into health care, I have never received the personal care, time and devotion of one of my doctors that Dr.Ives, Dr.Vela Brol, Shannon and ThuyAnn provide and invest in their patients. From the office manager Cheryle, nurses, front desk, referrals and entire staff they are so committed to giving the best medical care and always being available to address their patients needs. Not impressed with this clinic. Came from another state with a condition, but Dr. Ives said I needed to go to another specialist to confirm it. It took me a year to see this specialist and get the confirmation that yes, I do indeed have this condition! Then when I was camping I hurt my foot and needed an x-ray. Rather than take my word for it that my foot was swollen two sizes and bruised - they should have ordered me an x-ray right away - they said I had to make an appointment with them first to confirm I needed one. I COULD NOT WALK! So I went to an urgent care, got an x-ray & cast within an hour. I don't feel like Dr. Ives has time to listen to me - I only need to see the doc once a year so she could take 10 minutes to talk to me - so am looking for another doctor. read more

This clinic is about as frustrating as it gets. Everything is difficult from getting appointments, getting referrals, getting the doctor to stop typing and actually listen, and getting nurses to call back. The lab nurse is old and cranky and seems to get a kick out of sticking people multiple times when a good vein is obviously available. Her lab office is dirty and unsanitary. Due to the incorrect code from the billing office, I was charged for an annual free physical. I need a form signed by the doctor for my insurance but they keep saying that they never received it although we keep getting the fax confirmations. Their technology is outdated. I would find a new clinic if my insurance accepted anywhere else. read more

(UPDATE- 6/29/17) I received a certified letter directly from Dr. Velabrol [what? 45 days after the fact?] telling me to find a different primary care provider due to my "rude behavior" to the staff. Odd, before pushing away a new patient, wouldnt a level-headed, civilized person call the patient to verify their side of the story? No such correspondence ever occurred prior to today's mail. Morons of a feather stick together!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Void--- Let me first say that this review is NO REFLECTION on Dr. VelaBrol. The one visit that I did have with him... Dr VelaBrol was professional, personable, was thorough in his examination and accurate with his diagnosis (respiratory infection). Unfortunately, the Doctor is not the only person you deal with during a doctor's office visit... and this is where Rocky Mountain Primary Care went wrong. End Void--- On my first visit, I arrived early to fill out initial patient documents... all very standard. Since I have a rather extensive health history, records had to be requested from other doctor's offices. I was given the forms, I filled them out, and went in for my appointment. I was unaware that I had filled out my request for records form incorrectly, nor was I ever told. Two weeks later, I called to see how the collecting records was going and to schedule my next appt AFTER the doctor had a chance to review these records. I was told the records were never requested because I didnt fill out the forms properly. When I ask "Why wasnt I made aware of this when the error occurred 2 weeks ago?" I was told by the records person and the office manager "I dont know." I returned to the office to get the forms and submit them correctly. I THOUGHT I was on my way and that the mis-hap had been addressed and that the records would be received over the next few weeks. I WAS WRONG. I called all of the other doctors offices where the records were coming from and they gave me days, times and names of when my records were sent to Rocky Mountain Primary Care... yet Rocky Mountain could not find them, or claimed they were swamped and hadnt gotten the chance to check their faxes or they just didnt know where they were. I decided to take a pro-active approach and GO INTO the office to push this process forward. (Keep in mind, my medical issues were still going on and we had no plans of scheduling another appt to see the doctor until my records were complete.) The middle of the week of May 22, I went into the office with a hard copy of one of the records I found in my own records for them to make copies/ scan into their system... and to find out the where abouts of the last two missing records. They said they were busy, so I said I would return in two days for copies of those records. I ended up returning 8 days later and the copies were still not made. FINALLY, I got copies of all seven records in my hands and then asked to see the office manager to discuss this issue. I asked if we could speak in private so as to not disrupt their office or other patients. We went into an exam room and the office manager was ALREADY defensive before the conversation began (BIG RED FLAG OF... "OOOPS, we screwed up not once, but many times over.") I got alot of excuses, alot of feeble attempts at "Well you the patient should be more understanding" and not a single admission of wrong doing. But my VERY favorite is when I claimed that Dr. ValenBrol was losing patience due to the front end staff... She said "No, he is only losing you as a patient" as if losing one patient was an acceptable loss. The moral to the story is.... Rocky Mountain Primary Care wasted 9 weeks of my time and effort, and Im still (health wise) no better off today then I was then. Dont walk away from Rocky Mountain Primary Care... RUN!!!! read more

The staff is incompetent. I called 2 weeks ago for an appointment with Dr. Way, they set up the appointment, everything is fine. I get here today and they tell me I am having my appointment with Dr. Ives. I said, no I made an appointment with Dr. Way. She apparently retired in October. Did no one think this was pertinent information to give me when I was making the appointment?? Please go somewhere where the staff actually pay attention. read more

Dr. Vela Brol is an extraordinarily competent doctor who patiently explains significant details in the process of providing compassionate, comprehensive care for the patient's whole body. Dr. Ives has been my PCP since moving to the area in 2009 - have had nothing but positive experiences with her and the practice.

Never again........Dr. Ives obviouslly goes thru the motions but dosent give 2 hoots about the patient Example: I have been with different doctors at the Primary Care for over 30 years.....Ending with Dr. Ives a short time ago. Every appointment she treated like she had to talk to me and go thru the motions....Never smile gives you a far away look. About 2 weeks ago I was going thru a VERY rough time with family in hospitals, series of bad news situation etc etc. Hence I could not go to sleep at night. I called Dr. Ives office and requested some sleep tablets to get me through the the next couple three days. A day later, Thursday, I received word that the Doctor WOULD NOT fill the prescription because it was +Addicting". Now to be honest I hate taking any kind of pills and have to take several for my general health( I am 68). I don't use narcotics or any narcotic pills and have Never asked for help like this before. I call to confirm and was told that the doctor was going out of town and couldn't be reached...(bothered is more like it) Until Monday!!!! Four days away....I called and explained to the office manager the situation and, with a I really don't care tone in her voice, said the doctor would be back on Monday. I tried to tell her that I had only slept 9 hours in the past 3 days.....She said I would have to wait til the doctor returned. GREAT.....She suggested over the counter pills but I have tried those in the past with no result.....She basically said tough luck. I was slightly irate at this point and suggested that if Ives was not going to respond to an emergency request I should look for another doctor. 4 days letter I got a CERTIFIED LETTER that I was no longer welcome in their office and I had 30 days to find a doctor. Great place tell a 68 year old long time patient "Your Fired....go someplace else". This so called Medical place should be closed. Next call......American Medical Aassociation about their treatment of Senior Citizens GO ANYWHERE but avoid this place as if you life depended on it......Because it might and they aren't going to be very helpful Charles W read more

I could not recommend this practice to anyone. My wife and I needed an important and time sensitive medical form notarized by one of the doctors and it was lost and then we were told that we needed to provide another one and bring in a notary because neither doctor would notarize it because it was a "hassle". We were told all of this two weeks after we provided them with the form only because we called to see where it was. We are now in a very difficult situation trying to get everything straightened out due to their negligence. This is not the only issue we have had, but it is the final straw. Save yourself the hassle and find a different doctor. I recommend finding one with a notary on staff, just in case. read more

I have been going to this office for the past four years and the experiences continue to get worse. My last visit, I was told I would receive a follow up phone call the next day to see a specialist because my eyes were swollen shut. I did not receive the follow up phone call for one full week. I also asked about allergies and symptoms I was experiencing. After examining me I was told that my sinuses were swollen and to buy some Claritin. When I started feeling worse, I ended up going to Urgent Care where they told me I had a horrible sinus infection. Thanks Rocky Mountain Primary Care for wasting my time and money.
