Because of the whipped cream, the rolled ice cream was partially covered, but overall, it looked very nice and cute. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens.
