Excellent food and great selection of local beers. This is one of the few places where I enjoy multiple menu items. The fried chicken sandwich is pretty awesome, I wish they'd throw it on a waffle instead! Pot pie is also amazing, probably one of their most popular dishes. I've also had chicken tacos, which actually were pretty good with some decent salsa verde, and that's coming from a taco aficionado in a town with no good taco places. Though, I really wish they'd add cilantro. Trout is awesome too. Had a friend get short ribs, rated them as just okay, and the mashed potatoes that came with them were basic, nothing special. Definitely don't leave without some fried ice cream! The inside is comfortable and there are TVs throughout if you want to catch the game. Servers we've had have been good and they don't bug the hell out of you, while at the same time making sure you have full drinks, etc. Overall, wonderful local place that sources locally, so support it and our local economy over those often terrible chains with bland menus. read more

Rocky River used to be my favorite restaurant in the area. Their Mac and cheese was possibly the best I ever had before. They recently started skimp on their $16 Mac and cheese along with other menu items. Now, outside of the bratwurst, it's no better than instant Mac. They've also gotten rid of their best flatbreads. We recently ate here again and it was extremely refreshing considering our last visits. I ordered the fish and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the pot roast and the sauce was wonderful. Everyone knows it's the sauce that makes the pot roast. It was still loud, but for a party of two at a high top it wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend calling before visiting the wait time quoted can be over 45 minutes depending on the night. Our server was very friendly as well. My low rating is based on service more than food. I ordered a burger and when it was brought out the bun was extremely soggy and not good. That type of burger should really have a toasted bun to keep the burger together. The bun just fell apart in my hands. It was a shame since the burger was seasoned well and could have been excellent. Now getting to why I marked it down. My waitress never checked on us to see if our food was good. She only had 2 tables to wait on and when I tried to find her I saw that she was chatting with co-workers the whole time. I got her attention she quickly grabbed my empty glass and got my refill and left without giving me a chance to ask for a new bun. Again never asked if our food was good, was in a rush to get behind the line to chat with co-workers. When I again had to get her attention that we were ready to pay I mentioned I wished she would have inquired how the food was. Instead of apologizing she just dropped my bill off and walked away. I still tipped her well, but won't go back based on service. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome there. read more

Great farm to table restaurant with a decent craft beer selection. Our server recommended the bacon jam as an appetizer. We ordered out of curiosity and did not regret it! I ordered the rocky river burger and my boyfriend ordered the bison burger- both served with their house chips. Both burgers were cooked perfectly and the chips were great. We split the cherry apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was gone in seconds. It was honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had. The prices are very reasonable given that a lot of their ingredients are sourced locally. Overall the service was good. The computer system temporarily went down so we had to wait a little while to pay with a credit card. Our server was very apologetic and took great care of us. Highly recommend this place. read more

They seated a party of over 35 people right next to us who were clearly not practicing any social distancing or COVID safety measures. This is a serviceable restaurant with a decent number of gluten free options. I like that their menu points out which items are gluten free but it worries me that a menu item labeled GF has farro in it as farro is a type of wheat. Went there for dinner last weekend and I was more impressed by the options this time around. Started with the tuna lettuce wraps, which I thought were good but could have used more flavor, and the bacon, which was amazing. I would say it really is more of a 4 start, but wanted to address something important. Me and my husband and friends have eaten here many times, usually love it. This past week me and my husband chose Rocky River again over our other local favorite, Evil Czech. However, I was SO disappointed. I got a grilled chicken and the menu said with avocado spread. It did not say guacamole. See, I despise raw onion which is in guacamole and pico (which I never get), and if it said guacamole I would have asked without! Ruined the whole sandwich. I was able to get over it and move on, but then the lady at the table next to me got a salad and I noticed her say "ohhh goodness, this has onion, I cant have that" and sent it back. The waiter seemed bothered and said must be a menu error. Fix the menu please, thank heavens neither of us have an allergy (not that many do to onion) but put on the menu, what will be on the plate! I will go back and reccomend so many things on their menu, and love with sweet potato fries. Pleas though, fix the menu for me and the other lady that probably did not write a review! read more

Service was mediocre at best. Took over an hour to get main course. I ordered my steak medium well and it came out bleeding. Green beans were a side and they just tasted like red pepper. The other side was frites which were very soggy. In regards to my main item which was steak, I am not sure what sauce or rub they put on it, but it was not good. One of the most offensive tasting steaks I've had. The price of the item just adds insult to the mediocrity of the meal. I will not be coming back any time soon. read more

Great place! The food is really enjoyable(recommend the Rocky Nachos in particular) and ranges from more pub food to steak or fish entrees. It is a bit tucked away off the main road which is a plus for me as there is no fight for parking. This is placed in a quaint area in Mishawaka that has a gorgeous building layout. The interior is eye catching and the different colored wood inside matches well with the navy and white painted walls. The craft beers are satisfying and definitely recommend the Anti Hero IPA. Had the salmon dinner which came with roasted vegetables and quinoa which was probably the best thing on their menu (not trying to brag). The food looked and tasted delicious and felt cooked to order which matches their farm-to-table aspect. Desserts are top notch.
