FEMALE DISCRIMINATION AT IT'S FINEST! Disgusting, horrible experience. I went to get a copper plumbing piece, but needed help with the correct one. I stood in line at customer service to await my turn for assistance. Ron was the employee standing at the counter helping two ahead of me. When it was my turn for assistance, Ron told me to go to the aisle and wait on him. There were three males behind me, and he began helping them. I approached and confronted Ron, as I was the next to be helped. He again told me to go to the plumbing aisle and he would come. I did NOT, but instead confronted Ron as to why he was helping them when I was next in line. He continued to help the other three males behind me even as I stood there watching, and, in fact, they were all checking out when Ron came to help me. I don't spend my money in businesses that treat me like a second class citizen. I hope Home Depot and Lowe's puts them out of business. DISGUSTING!!! read more

we own several properties and often go to Rocky's ace to support a local hardware store. my husband and I continued to have small issues with ace but kept coming back to support them. this last time we purchased. 450.00 chainsaw. it was never used because we could not get it to start up. we had all the parts, box...but they refused to return it stating a policy we were never made aware of. we wanted to support local but this was the final straw. read more

Was just at Rocky's Prima vista rt1. Needed some ac filters. I needed some help with brands and quality. Went to service counter to ask advice. There were two guys there discussing inventory and pricing. They looked at me and continued their conversation. I waited a few minutes more turned around and walked out disgusted. I bought a MS180c Stihl Chainsaw from this location and I had it for a little under a year. The chainsaw broke a three times within that year: 1. The starter cable broke (Common issue on the 180c) 2. The repair was faulty for the starter cable after testing in the parking lot that day. The cable was attatchef but did not move. And worst of all, 3: I found the saw on a top shelf leaking bar chain oil all over a bunch of tools I had below it. Not only did it leak everywhere, but this saw is basically new. I brought the saw in for a warranty repair as the issue was another common problem I researched online. One of the female managers at the location took the saw and I signed for a warranty repair. When I returned a week later to pickup the saw, I was given the WRONG SAW. It was a MS170 and the serial numbers did not match. I noticed this inside the store so I quickly returned it and the manager there (George) took the saw and checked the serial numbers. He noticed the discrepancy and told me he would look for the saw. I call him a day or so later and he said that he couldn't find the saw but would call and see if it was mixed up in repairs and that he would call me back. Weeks go by as I call manager after manager as each one gives an excuse or stalls for another week. I'm still here with no saw, no explanation, and no compensation for any of this. I was told I would be getting a "new saw" and that I would recieve a call this past week. I did not recieve a call so I called the location yesterday and I was told I would recieve a call today. It is 4:42 P.M. and they close at 7:00. This is the worst experience I have ever had ANYWHERE for a tool, especially when I paid $360+ for it. Despite this being the closest hardware/tool store, I think I'll take the extra 15 minute drive to go somewhere else instead. Do not make any major purchases at this store. I will edit this with the drop off reciept and the new saw reciept once I have it to show proof, IF I EVEN GET THE SAW. read more

Went to this store fully expecting to pay a little more than Lowe's or Home Depot but NOT this much. They tried to charge me $17.89 for 4 bolts, 4 nuts, and 6 washers. I declined and went straight to Lowe's where I bought the exact same items for $9.99. To each their own but I won't set foot in here again. read more

Not a big fan of this location. I have had several unpleasant experiences with the rude employees. Today the "know it all" staff member with 30 years of experience took a look at a key that I needed made and said he couldn't copy it. He hardly looked at it and was completely rude about it. As I was leaving the store, he was up front with the female cashier telling how stupid I was in questioning his experience. I overheard this an told him it was alright to talk about me. (He should have been helping other customers in the store) Really enjoyed the look on his face when I caught him running his mouth. No worries here, I went on over to the Hardware store in Jensen and got my keys made. It's only about 8 miles and will be my future go to place. read more

Last week I ran into This location to pick up my trim paint to finish my kitchen . I went in at 6:50 pm and headed straight to that section. Before I could even pick up the 2 gallons I needed I was told they were closing . It takes less than a minute to add the color into the computer . Another minute for it to drop into can and then close shake , test and seal. I would have been in and out in 15 minutes tops. Poor customer service , period. Especially when there are 2 big box stores in this area. I ended up going down to Tequesta and gave that Ace Hardware my business . Shame on those employees !! If a customer is in the door before close you SHOULD do your job. Unfortunately you have now lost a customer who plans on telling friends and family not to shop here . read more

We live less then a mile away and find this location to be very helpful. At times they are understaffed, but still very pleasant and helpful. The merchandise may be a little higher but better then running to big box store 5+ miles away. We will continue to shop here for the majority of our needs. read more

Good example of poorly trained clerks providing very poor customer service. Checking out the cashier hands my bag to another customer and then has no clue where it went. Staff attempted to help me find the items and then got upset because I wanted to get everything I needed even though they were out of stock on the items they seem to be inflexible of understanding that we could settle up at the register on any difference in items. I like it for a refund and went to Home Depot where they had everything I needed. read more
