HORRIBLE place. My husband drove past this place a few times so we decided to give it a try. Parking lot was full we decided to wait because we assumed it was good. I don't wanna bring out the racist card but you can definitely tell the difference of customer service with their "reg" and with a different type of customer. Our waitress was OK, and the food was OK as well. Nothing special about their food. As we were going to pay I tried paying with a young lady who said she was no allowed to charge. Waited about 10 more min by the register for some older white lady with curly hair to come over not say ONE single word to us. New to the area, I stopped in after seeing a full parking lot and assumed that meant good things. Unfortunately, the experience was the opposite. We were greeted by a hostess who, despite plenty of open tables and several staff members moving around, told us to stand off to the side and wait to be added to a "list." A young waitress tried to seat us right away, but the hostess reprimanded her, so we waited several more minutes before finally being shown to a table. It took a while just to get drinks and place our breakfast order. About 45 minutes passed with no food, while we watched obvious regulars come in, order, and receive their meals quickly. When we checked in with our waitress, she said it would be just a few more minutes. Ten minutes later, they brought out someone else's food entirely. At that point, we no longer felt confident that our meal--if it ever arrived--would be prepared with care or proper kitchen practices. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave. The worst part came as we were walking to our car: the hostess sent our waitress outside to tell us she wasn't allowed to keep the tip we left. That confirmed this wasn't a server issue--it's a management and kitchen problem. It's a shame, because it's a cute little spot on my route to and from work, but this experience was enough to keep me from returning. read more

Terrible experience. We didn't even eat and left before ordering anything. The woman who sat us was just constantly staring from afar and making us uncomfortable and didn't say anything besides handing us menus. The young waiter we had barely helped us besides water and when we weren't ready to order yet, but our 6 year old who was starving and decided, he declined to take his order until we were ready. Rocky's Cafe is one of those places where the vibe does a lot of the heavy lifting. Nestled right in the middle of the forest, it has a charming, rustic feel that makes you want to sit back, sip coffee, and just be. It feels like a little cabin retreat tucked away from the rush of the world. As for the food -- it was... okay. I had the tofu scramble, and my partner went with an egg, cheese, and spinach scramble. Both dishes were fine, nothing particularly memorable or flavor-packed, but also nothing to complain too much about either. It landed squarely in the "decent breakfast" category. Not bad, not amazing -- just there. If you're in the area and want a cozy little forest spot to relax with a warm plate of food, Rocky's might still be worth a visit. Stopped in for a brunch today with an old friend. They ran out of French Dip, but the turkey sandwich was just as good. Nice compliment of fresh veggies, turkey, cheese, and mayo on a toasted slices of white bread. The home fries were great too. My friend's California Scramble was also great, especially with the avocado. Our server was friendly and did a great job. My bank reimburses all the ATM fees, so those complaining need to get a better bank. Cash is fine, and so is the location. Will be back! read more

Went here with an hour and 15 before my son's baseball game at the high school down the street. My husband and I ordered two eggs breakfast and an omelette. We got seated right away ordered quickly. 45 minutes later no food so we got up and left. Watching how this place operates was all we could do and the hygienic practices here are atrocious. Orange juice was spilled and cleaned up off the floor with the same towel they were cleaning the tables with. No pre spray was used, just an orange juice soaked towel. The cooks were incredibly slow leaving the kitchen often and constantly checking the order tickets but food was at a snail pace coming out. The couple behind us had a fruit cup and the fruit looked disgusting. We had to leave with no food and I'm glad we did because getting sick off of a dirty restaurant was not what I wanted and waiting almost an hour for breakfast food is ridiculous. A Warm, Rustic Gem in the Heart of Felton Rocky's Café was one of the highlights of our trip to the Redwoods! The ambiance is rustic and cozy -- think cabin charm with a wood-burning stove and tables by the window offering lovely views of the surrounding town. We were greeted with cheerful smiles even before walking inside. The staff welcomed us warmly as we climbed the stairs and made us feel like old friends. Everyone we met was genuinely friendly, happy to chat, and created a true "we're so glad you came" atmosphere. The breakfast menu is fantastic -- so many tempting options that we came back **three times** during our stay! We tried two different omelets and their delicious breakfast burrito -- each dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The decaf coffee and hot chocolate were spot-on too. We live four hours away but wish we could make Rocky's our weekly breakfast spot. Our Redwoods vacation was wonderful, and Rocky's Café truly topped it off. Do not pass this place up! We were headed to Big Basin to check out the post fire regrowth, beautiful. We had the pancake and the classic eggs breakfast that came with eggs, bacon, and toast and hash browns. The star items were the eggs cooked perfect, the bacon a cake perfect, the bacon perfect, the English muffin possibly homemade and generously buttered. I got a hot tea and it was ten stars! A lot of people around us ordered French toast and the French toast sandwich and they also looked perfect. Even more appealing was the cost, the interior was homey and clean and has a cabin feel and decor. The creaky floors made the experience even better and we ate out on the wrap around porch. There was awesome service here so be sure to tip generously because our waitress was taking orders, serving, washing dishes, and we never felt neglected! read more

My spouse & I spent a week camping nearby. We ate breakfast at this cafe 3x that week. We had been there a few years ago, and loved it. Well, the cafe still serves delicous food! We received great service too! Malcolm was our waiter a couple of times and he was great! Sam, another waitress, was so personable, bubbly and nice! We loved sitting at the same table and enjoyed all the staff. The eggs and bacon was cooked perfectly. We were apprehensive that this cafe wouldn't be as good as it was years ago, but it was. The only suggestions I have is 1) get real menus. They have photocopied menus and the photocopy is poor. It creates a negative appearance, and 2) they are suppose to be open everyday (per Google), but we arrived on a Wednesday and they were closed. So, that wasn't great. Either Google hasn't been updated or it was just closed for some other reason. Other than that, all is good. read more

My brother ordered the chicken fried steak, I got the chilli cheese scramble and we shared a short stack of blueberry pancakes. TERRIBLE and RUDE service. Like I would give this -5 stars. Group of us 5 were waiting to be seated, however the waiter (and even hostess initially) were EXTREMELY rude to us from the get go. Waited 15 min to get seated even though there were at least 5 clean tables available. Initially thought they're probably short staffed which was why we had to wait unnecessarily long. But then the second we were seated and one of us ask what she recommends, she says "(sighs And rolls her eyes) we are too busy to recommend--I'll just take what you order--figure it out." Then as each and every one of us order she's snapping her head, rolling her eyes, and being extremely rude. It got to the point I finally ask if she's ok and that she's being rude to which she says "we're really busy (hence, Acknowledging and Almost arrogantly justifying her behavior). Instead of paying attention to her tone after I made that comment, she then amped up for rudeness and in a condescending tone asked what I wanted to order. It was interesting seeing her act differently (very polite) with other tables (and seeing from the other positive reviews) so it's hard to justify her actions as just having a bad or "busy" day. Then again, seeing all the negative reviews, I'm not surprised the common theme is bad service. Really curious if there's a pattern though on who they're being rude to. Based on her actions (and there were two more examples of her rude behavior), it was clear we were not welcomed and so we left. What a gem in the forest! Breakfast was great with pancakes eggs potatoes and so many other choices. I've been twice now and was very pleased.
