    Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns

Solid quick service, funny waitress. Eggs Benedict was good with high quality ingredients. The burritos were small, mostly potato and not quite hot enough.sweet local vibe just off the highway. Burger was good, big and hot

Food was good, service was quick and friendly. Be aware they only take cash or check. NO DEBIT/CREDIT.

Rocky's Cafe is one of those places where the vibe does a lot of the heavy lifting. Nestled right in the middle of the forest, it has a charming, rustic feel that makes you want to sit back, sip coffee, and just be. It feels like a little cabin retreat tucked away from the rush of the world. As for the food -- it was... okay. I had the tofu scramble, and my partner went with an egg, cheese, and spinach scramble. Both dishes were fine, nothing particularly memorable or flavor-packed, but also nothing to complain too much about either. It landed squarely in the "decent breakfast" category. Not bad, not amazing -- just there. If you're in the area and want a cozy little forest spot to relax with a warm plate of food, Rocky's might still be worth a visit. Just go in for the atmosphere more than the menu.

    Turkey sandwich and California Scramble.

Stopped in for a brunch today with an old friend. They ran out of French Dip, but the turkey sandwich was just as good. Nice compliment of fresh veggies, turkey, cheese, and mayo on a toasted slices of white bread. The home fries were great too. My friend's California Scramble was also great, especially with the avocado. Our server was friendly and did a great job. My bank reimburses all the ATM fees, so those complaining need to get a better bank. Cash is fine, and so is the location. Will be back!

Love it!!! The waitress is corky home made feel and good to see the nature while eating. Feels like your own yard.

This is our view from the front porch.

I was delighted that they had gluten free pastries and a house-made gluten free bread! My sister enjoyed a strawberry-blackberry brioche tart, while I ordered the mango mochi bite (gf) and a chocolate mochi donut (gf). My favorite was the mango bite, which had a delicious burst of fruity mango flavor. The chocolate donut was a very rich, chocolate-y flavor and also excellent, but the texture was not as nice as the mochi bite. The strawberry-blackberry tart was also delicious, per my sister's feedback. The avocado toast was good, but my favorite was definitely the mango mochi bite. As for the drinks, my matcha was with a house made rose syrup and my sister said her chai was very peppery and delicious--her favorite chai on our trip so far! Wish we'd had a larger size but not sure if they offer them. When I'd ordered, I wasn't asked about sizes and didn't even think to ask for a large. Parking in front is a bit limited, but they have plenty of interior seating and even a little outdoor seating area. All in all, I'd absolutely come here again if I ever find myself in the area. Highly recommend, especially if you are gluten free! They even asked if it was allergy or preference, which makes me feel more confident eating here as someone with celiac disease.

The salads and veggie bowls are solid. I like their baked goods, particularly the raspberry and cream cheese brioche or the bite-sized passionfruit mochi, which is packed with flavor and garnished with delicate flowers. Interesting drinks in their beverage fridge, retro wallpaper, fun merchandise, and a quirky, small open air backyard are all pluses. Friendly and helpful staff. Just wish that their breakfast ran later (ends at 11 am) and that the line moved a little faster.

Everyone was attentive and just had an amazing time. about 20 people showed up. The third time we went to the pool with 3 kids. It was a bit pricy for 5 people with food and drinks. It also did take a little long like 30 minutes for drinks but it was fun and the pool was warm. They brought out a pretzel that was rock hard. Last yr I spent many sunset evenings w/o ever being asked to leave .. guess they thought I was a member. I asked her about happy hour food and she said happy hour is in the bar... I told her I wanted to check out the happy hour and went inside -she should have informed the pool closes at 5 at that point. I said hi to the bartender and inquired of the happy hour and that I was enjoying the pool. He then informed me at the bar to get happy hour prices I had to eat in the bar and that I could not take my happy hour food outside to the pool. The young man at that point should have informed me of the pool closing at 5 as well. I ordered. 2 tacos and grilled shrimp and it took 52min to arrive. I asked the guy bartending twice if he ordered my food. I got back to the pool. It was a few minutes after five after jumping into the pool the nice attendant informed me the pool is closed. I got charged $ 35 x2 for two people to not use the pool because I went inside to get happy hour food. A lot of non communication A lot of taking advantage of peeps unaware ! Not cool

There's a few tables out on their raised wooden porch and none inside. But Humble Sea next door has indoor tables and patio seating. If lounging there and enjoying a drink (which is ideal) food will be brought to you there. But you will still have to order and pay at Emerald Mallard's side. Only tried 1 thing here. I was going to come back the following day to do a burger but didn't make their hours. Their menu is small but impressive. Quite foodie in rhythm with Euro flairs. They'll do American smash burgers, fried chicken sandos and sometimes pastrami. But you can also run into steak tartare, frites, duck confit or caviar adds. Menu changes weekly so adventurous palates are to be rewarded. Tortilla Española ($15/4*) This throws a lot of Americans off. Cuz Americans mostly know of the Mexican definition of tortilla which is a starch flat disk made either of corn or flour. A Spanish tortilla is a thick potato omelette/frittata often found at a tapas bar. The version here did sound impressive. The Spanish omelette consist of potatoes and onions fried in beef tallow until both get soft and sweet. Then scrambled eggs are poured in to bind everything to form a thick potato omelette of sorts. It is sliced and served room temp. But here they bump this further by slathering on a healthy dose of Crème fraiche, chopped chives and an impressive dollop of kaluga caviar. Served on an old timey grandma type of plate, this was an elevated appetizer that seemed too fancy for a rugged beer bar with no table service. Lol. I did find the omelette to be too potato dominant as the good ones I've had, had a nicer balance of egg to make the texture more silky and soft. I also found the amount of cremé fraiche to be too much as well as it drowned out the delicate caviar. But we sipped on a couple of well crafted brews and savored this thoughtful tapa with tiny yet deliberate bites. We were going to have dinner in a few hours so we didn't explore the menu any further. But now that I know what this place is bringing, I'm gonna bring my happy ass down for more exploration in their changing and unique menus. RSVP...count me in.

I also loved how their store was set up and they sold local arts and crafts from the community! I love the community aspect here in Santa Cruz County! Perhaps she misread the menu, but she thought "egg stacker" was a sandwich because it was under the "bagel sandwich "category. But under the description, it does not say there's any bread. Lol, which is better for us since we're trying to be gluten-free for the day. I had an ice green tea and a salmon egg which was delicious and filling perfectly made egg with the right amount of capers and seasoning for each bite to have enough flavor on it.
