Hardware stores are wonderful places for me to stop at and this one is a treat. I love to fondle nails & screws and nuts & bolts. They always bring memories of going with my dad on Saturdays to find what he needed for a project. This store reminds me of the places we went to: it is small, jam-packed, and as far as I can tell--it has everything that a big box store would. And more importantly the person who owns or works at this store knows what I wanted when I did not know what to ask for. My recent visit was for my project. I wanted a clamp or a wrench that I could put on the bottom on my monopod so I could step on it to help me hold it steady. Drilling a hole in carbon fiber was not an option and my idea might not work. He suggested that I use a metal thingy (I have no idea what it is called) and put it on the monopod with Gorilla tape. This made sense to me. I'll see if it works; if it doesn't, I'm only out a couple of dollars a minor price to pay for feeling handy! read more

Sweet little store that offers first class service. During Covid lockdown, they were spectacularly helpful and friendly.

It's not a big beautiful store But the owner is very personable and knowledgeable. He always has a solution to complete a difficult step in my projects. What I like most is that he always has an off the wall item. I've only been able to find Hog Rings at specialty stores 30 or 40 miles away. Ed had them! If he doesn't have it in stock and you don't need it immediately he will special order it for you. For me, that is a stress reliever and allows me to slow down a project that does not need to get completed fast, but correctly. read more

It's always a good feeling to come down and support the local hardware store. This place has been here ever since I was a kid. Parking is located in the lot in front which is shared with the mechanic shop. Sometimes it gets full but for the most part there is always parking. First impression you would think everything is unorganized inside , but you'd be wrong . Easy to find what you're looking for and easy to ask for help unlike the big stores like HD. This is the go to spot if you need something simple and want to stay clear of the crowds and lines at HD. Obviously they don't have EVERYTHING HD has but for the basics , come here. read more

I love this store. Modest in size, but so complete. Amazing how a place its size can carry most basic items I need. While the HUGE store down the street can't stock the same items. The prices aren't off by much either. This store also carries items that are hard to find or things you hadn't thought to look for. The fella who runs the store is always friendly and helpful. On one occassion he was helping an elderly lady by repairing her electric scooter. Often his wife, daughters and dogs are there helping or visiting which adds to the warmth and charm of a small family run store. I always stop here first before going anywhere else. read more

Great owner owned small store. Been around over 36 years. Came in today looking for a seal for toilet. He helped me get the right seal. Tried a seal from HD but wasn't happy with the fit. The seal he had was the exact thing I was looking for even though the brand was older. Installed and very happy to have gotten the exact seal and job completed. Try this store for a treat. This is a great little hardware store. There aren't many like this left, so this is a true treasure. The owner of the store is always friendly and helpful and if he doesn't have it, he can find it! I usually frequent this store for smaller items like fuses, light bulbs, yard equipment, fasteners, patching compound... things like that. This Hardware Store has got to be the Best Business of the Year. The store owner goes way out of his way to be accommodating, friendly and helpful. The excellent customer service goes way beyond what you would expect from a good family run business. Ed is very knowledgeable and is more than happy to help you solve any problem that you bring to him. The pricing is great and is quite often less than Home Depot or Orchard Supply. Ed doesn't have everything, but it is rare for me to need to go elsewhere for most home repair or improvement projects unless I need lumber or masonry. I'm old enough to remember the old-fashioned hardware stores of the pre-Home Depot, pre-Lowe's days, Though the prices are a bit higher than the big box store a few miles away, the helpful advice is well worth the difference.
