My one star rating doesn't go to the store in general but to my experience in it. I purchased several birds here throughout the years. This time, I purchased a bunch of birds including baby ducks as usual, but when I got home, I realized that one of the ducks was crippled. It's got a twisted, malformed leg and it's limping. You would have thought "then go return it and get a new one, or go get your money back" I thought the same, in fact I did. You know what they said? Sorry we can't take responsibility for that. If you pay full price for something, you expect the best quality. If you buy a defective product of any kind, it would only make sense that they would refund you and take it back, or at least replace the product to a non-defective one. They did none of that. "Sorry, we don't take them back". I didn't pay full price to be stuck with your defective inventory. It's crazy how 100 good experiences can all collapse to the ground with a single bad experience. All of a sudden, the store doesn't leave a good impression in me. I don't just buy animals for the heck of having them. I also breed them, and good genes are key. read more

Picked up an online order at this location and I had so many employees offering to help me that it has raised the bar on customer service everywhere else. Granted I was buying a super heavy Blackstone and couldn't have lifted it by myself even if I had had to! My family and I of course found several other things to buy as well while we were there. The prices are comparable or lower to anywhere else . If you have pets, an outdoor enthusiast, or somebody who just likes to cook you will undoubtedly find more than a few things to take home with you. And like I said before the employees are all so friendly and helpful it definitely makes you want to come back. read more

I have been a regular customer for several years as my little homestead grows. Last year my pickup truck was destroyed by a drunk, leaving me without a way to get my supplies that I usually pickup every quarter. The TA good neighbor program offers free same day delivery once per quarter, which I qualified for. That worked fine last year. Unfortunately, the last two orders have gone badly. The website is just janky and makes it difficult to select delivery options. I have it tuned now but I can't imagine the difficulty for those less technically savvy. Last week I put in an order and 5 days later, I have heard nothing. I finally called customer service and they contacted the store who said the driver hasn't shown up. I get the troubles, but how about an update? Last year they had some delivery challenges and they kept me updated. I am out of feed now and had I known, I could have gone to the store on the weekend to get a bag of food. It is not an option mid-week. read more

They called and let me know when it would be delivered, asked if I needed any help purchasing additional equipment to go with it and delivered right on time. TSC blatantly advertises to the public that they honor military or veterans service with sale benefits that don't exist. I spent 2 hours on line proving I wasn't lying that I was a veteran. Having completed the on line profile, I went to TSC to use the offered benefits. No discounts appeared on my receipt. I asked personnel, why, and they said I'd have to call customer service. I did. They said veteran discounts had to meet certain criteria, but could not tell me what they were. TSC is boasting to the public (with counter flyers, bill boards at the entrance, and special parking spaces) without actually delivering any actual benefit. I left there feeling guilty not having shopped at local businesses instead. Which I will do in the future. read more

Horrible experience after driving to tractor supply in Brentwood from Walnut Creek finding their under construction and would not sell a chicken coop then called on the phone the location in American Canyon. They physically confirmed they had the chicken coop and it was available for pick up. Drove from Brentwood to American Canyon. They charged us for the chicken coop only to find out. They did not have one and all they had was the display after offering to sell us the display with a broken door on it they decided to remind me that I was getting a deal, not having to pay the fee to put it together. What kind of customer service is it to actually tell a customer that they are getting a deal by purchasing the display model with a broken door because they did not have their inventory correct and the customer called ahead to confirm inventory. I had to tell the guy he needs to take a class in customer service horrible experience. read more

Tractor Supply's needs to take their online inventory list down because it causes people to drive to a store and then they are out of stock on items they show online. I have been to the store in Little river twice in the last 4 days it to get fence they show online they have 10 rolls of 100 ft. x 60 in. Square Deal Non-Climb Horse Fence. SKU: 361071599 in stock. The bad thing is I have complained about it at the store and days later it stills show in stock.....N0body care if they did someone would get off their ass and fix it! read more

I just had to write a review for the fantastic staff at this location - we ordered some pine shavings for our new puppy to assist with his housetraining. Unfortunately, the delivery driver at Tractor Supply was unable to preform our same-day deliver due to an emergency. The staff called to let us know of the situation, and offered to refund our delivery fee and promised to deliver our items to our doorstep within 48 hours. What a great shopping experience, from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. I've never had so many employees approach me and offer help at any other store. We came in looking for a large amount of fencing supplies and the store manager Elisha was so helpful. She showed us exactly what we would need and helped us thru the whole transaction. I just added a puppy to my family and was having difficulty finding a veterinarian who could give him his shots on a scheduled basis. Luckily the breeder suggested calling Tractor Supply. I was looking for an item, but unfortunately their was a misunderstanding of some sort when I called in. Tractor Supply in American Canyon is not to far from me, but it would be somewhat an out of the way thing if I were to go here. The customer service here is very welcoming and attentive when we came in. They did have a mixture of pet supplies, pet food for various animals, and clothing (which I wasn't too interested on looking at, because my intention was only for the dog supplies). I really like the grain free food that I gave my little guy, and he devour it too. I only wish I could order it online and have it delivered to my zip code, instead of me picking it up. read more

I love going to this place they have everything that you may need for your cats, dogs, horses, pigs, goats, chickens you name it they'll probably have it. I've been going to the 1 in Petaluma for years-and am so excited that they opened 1 closer to me. Probably the worst online experience. Told to order the item online by the store. I did. When it was suppose to show up to pick up at store they had no idea why I did not receive any information for 6 days later & only to be told it was lost. Boom repurchase item. Now was told tracking that it was in a town 10 miles away as of 16th. Boom guess what no one knows why I am not getting this item or where it is AGAIN. There in store people and service is Awesome. But WOW 2 orders now for the same item 1 lost 2nd unknown within the last month? Here is a thought you are using a lesser shipping company they suck go with a known brand. From delivery to in store she sucks as a person in a management position, let's be honest she would suck as a jellied walnut and she'd have to do is stew in her gelatinous goop. I've had feed delivered to my ranch that she just likes to throw anywhere she feels. I've come into the store to return said bags because when ordering online or for delivery, of the 20+ bags I order, I'm going to have to return 5-7 because they failed to realize halfway through, it's a crumble they're loading and I ordered a pellet, but has the audacity to assume it was MY error. I've spoken with her and she basically said to always double check. Thank you Sam for letting me know you have no faith in your employees or in your training of them. Before the critical portion of my review, I would like to say the employees have always been respectful an courteous. Now for Tractor Supply as a company. In my opinion Tractor Supply was a good company to do business with until they decided to become another box store. I own a farm and used to spend a large portion of my budget at their stores even though I had to travel one hour to get there. Now they have a location within one half an hour and my expenditures there have dwindled to only the items I must buy there because of price and availability. Product quality has diminished, ability to negotiate price is non existent even though on a corporate level I bet it is of utmost importance. Specials are run online but are not offered in house even though the store is where the product is picked up. To me there is absolutely no reason for Tractor Supply not to honor online pricing at the store level. Like I told a very courteous rep on the phone. When companies start acting like people are busting down their doors to do business with them, they may be getting the opposite effects. I for example now do a fraction of the business with Tractor Supply because of this type of mentality. The Rep I talked too said they would price match any competitor. My response was if the competitor had a better price they would get my business. I refuse too buy a certain product from a company who can blatantly tell me they could sell to me cheaper only if their competitor is willing to do the same. This is pricing based on what a market can bare. In other words let's see how deep we can get into the consumers wallet. I could go on but for today my point has been made. I know this is in vane but my hopes would be that Tractor Supply would go back to doing business on the store level where honesty and integrity outweighed profitability and greed. Otherwise you have accomplished no more than losing your morals and scruples. read more
