King Accessible Room tub with multiple grab bars and shower seat. This was also a whirlpool tub but we did not test it out.

We had a good experience here in the past so we decided to stay here again since we came to town for a show at the casino. This time, we stayed in the newer non-smoking section that is connected to the lobby. Once again, the room had plenty of room for us and was very clean. The shower had great hot water and the water pressure was awesome. The free hot breakfast in the now-standard scrambled eggs and sausage, dry cereal, a sampling of fresh fruit, yogurt, and a waffle maker. Coffee and juice. The star of the show is the biscuits and gravy! Don't pass it by! The casino-run shuttle is no longer 24 hours/day so be sure to check out the times they run before you go out. The mattress and pillows were a little soft for us, but that's a personal preference. There are no USB ports for device charging, so make sure to bring your adapters. No, this is not a five-star or even a four-star hotel. But for the price, location and the fact that it met our needs, I have rated it as I have.

Delicious food and drinks served at the Turf downstairs at the Rodeway Inn at Charles Town, WV

We took my parents to Rodeway Inn & Suites and stay Fri night. Great place to stay. We do not smoke and had a great night stay. Love the Turf bar downstairs with delicious food, drinks, great variety of music, sports on TVs, and slots. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary coffee and full breakfast were delicious too. Overall affordable and great place to stay with shuttle to and from the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town WV.

I believe the old hotel had a different name (Turf Motel), but this place is really better than a motel category.

Right from those first chats and booking back-and-forth? Pure gold. Super responsive, sharp as tacks, and genuinely excited to help nail down the perfect setup - AV, seating, all the bells and whistles. No question was too small, and you guys handled everything like pros who actually care. Zero hassle, all smiles! Then bam - arrival day hits, and the energy level? Off the charts! Your crew greeted us like old friends, had the room spotless and set up EXACTLY how we asked (quiet, comfy, distraction-free zone - teacher heaven!). Throughout the whole day, the professionalism was unreal: quick check-ins without being pushy, lightning-fast help when we needed it, polite, upbeat, and always one step ahead. You made sure everything ran smooth as butter so we could focus on rocking the class. Management, you've got a rockstar squad here - hats off big time! This wasn't just "good service" - it was FUN, flawless, and felt like a high-five every time we interacted. You turned what could've been a standard venue day into something we'll be bragging about. If you need a spot for meetings, classes, trainings, or anything where you want zero stress and maximum wow - THIS is the place! 5 stars? Nah - 10 out of 5! You rock, Holiday Inn Express - we're already plotting our next excuse to come back. Thank you for the awesome day!

The guest laundry consists of a small, agitator-style washer and small dryer. Nice that they're offered, but not very useful. Be aware that there is construction on the lot - between this Days Inn and its "sister" hotel, the Travelodge. They start early and it is very loud. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the manager, Lauren, was very proficient and friendly.

I generally do not leave reviews unless the service I receive is exceptional--or notably lacking…read more My recent stay at this property falls somewhere in the middle, with a few highlights but also significant areas for improvement. I've broken down my experience below: Service * Check-In The woman who checked us in was exceptionally warm and polite. She made a genuine effort to ensure we had a pleasant start to our stay and was very accommodating. * Check-Out Unfortunately, the man who checked us out provided a stark contrast. He was dismissive and discourteous when we expressed our concerns about the stay. His unprofessional behavior--including eye-rolling--was disappointing and made it clear that guest feedback was unwelcome. Regardless of whether he is a staff member or owner, such behavior is not acceptable in the hospitality industry. Room Experience * Initial Room The first room we were assigned had a strong odor of cigars and bleach. It was apparent that the floor had not been mopped in a long time, and there were visible gaps along the door frame--on the top, sides, and bottom--which affected the sense of privacy and security. * Room Change Process Thankfully, the front desk agent who checked us in went above and beyond. She personally checked multiple rooms with me until we found one that met a basic standard, agreeing that the third room was the best option based on smell and condition. * Final Room While the third room smelled clean, the sheets had small particles of dirt between them, possibly from being dropped during handling. Although tolerable, it indicated a lapse in cleanliness protocols. Additionally, the floor had not been mopped--walking across it for even a minute left socks or feet noticeably dirty. Additional Amenities * Air Conditioning The air conditioning functioned very well and kept the room comfortable throughout our stay. * Bathroom The bathroom was generally clean, though the shower curtain had light staining. The drain was very slow, taking several minutes to empty after use. * Fridge/Freezer and TV Both appliances worked perfectly and met expectations. Overall Impression While there were some positive elements, including the helpfulness of the check-in staff and the functionality of the room's amenities, the overall cleanliness and poor service at check-out left a negative impression. Due to these issues--particularly the substandard cleaning practices and unprofessional customer service--I would not recommend this property.

As a last minute birthday gift for me last week, my friend spontaneously drove us to West Virginia to visit Hollywood Casinos for an overnight stay. Unfortunately this weekend happened to be the same weekend a golf tour was in town, so all the rooms were booked solid. Sad faced we ventured off in search of somewhere to stay and he drove across the street to this motel that time and Clorox Bleach forgot. Walked in and the smell of mold immediately spin-kicked me in the nostrils. The television looked like it should have come with a complimentary pair of pliers to change the UHF dial. The toilet had #2 stains in the bowl. I turned back the sheets to discover evidence of someone's night of debauchery (no Grisham needed, this stain was HUGE). All this I spied within the time it took me to open the door and before my friend brought our bags in. As my tip says, we checked in and checked RIGHT BACK OUT! I didn't even take the time to take pictures for fear of asbestos poisoning. There's a reason no one has reviewed this place yet...anyone choosing to stay here is doubted to make it out alive! I will say the lady at the front desk was nice about refunding him the money...she should have been.

If you like cigarette butts in your pillow cases, and attitude with your check-ins, this is definitely the place for you! Towne House Motor Lodge is what I can only describe as 'crack-den-chic' meets 'hollywood-cheap-motel-hooker-scene'. From the 40+ hotels I stayed at throughout my journey across America, these guys take the cake. And the icing on this 'disappointment cake'? The less-than-tasty, borderline non-existant wi-fi speed. Even one star is too much.
